REST

Image
The Eternal is my shepherd, He cares for me always. He provides me rest in rich, green fields beside streams of refreshing water. He soothes my fears; — Psalm 23:1-2 (VOICE) As we remember it’s not about man-made rules and religion, but a personal relationship, we can stop striving, be still and come to a greater knowledge of our good and awesome God. Rest in His Presence. Put the yoke of Jesus on and learn from Him, for He is gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest and renewal for your souls. (Matthew 11:29) And He said, “My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest.” — Exodus 33:14 (NASB)

GOOD TO ALL

Image
The LORD is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made. — Psalm 145:9 (NIV) O taste and see that the LORD is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! (Psalm 34:8 NASB) The LORD’s compassions for us never fail. They are new every morning. May we be like our heavenly Father, and be good to all. Have fresh new mercy and compassion for those who may have offended you in the past. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too. (Philippians 2:4 NLT) Recognize the value of every person and continually show love to every believer. Live your lives with great reverence and in holy awe of God. Honor your rulers. — 1 Peter 2:17 (TPT)

“I AM Here”

Image
“ Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age. ” — Matthew 28:20 (NLT) As Believers, we are most blessed to have the Presence of the Lord, with us. Immanuel: God with us. Let His Presence be a source of comfort and courage. Be thankful that even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ. His Presence and His power enables us to accomplish His will on the earth. What a privilege and honor to be a vessel for our heavenly Father, a vessel of His love and grace, a vessel of His light and truth. Amen. “ Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. For I hold you by your right hand— I, the LORD your God. And I say to you, ‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you. ” — Isaiah 41:10, 13 (NLT)

BLESSED!

Image
We count those blessed who endured. You have heard of the endurance of Job and have seen the outcome of the Lord’s dealings, that the Lord is full of compassion and is merciful. — James 5:11 (NASB) The LORD blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning… (Job 42:12a NASB) Whatever you may be going through right now, know that your future in God is brighter and brighter. For the joy that was set before Him, Jesus endured the cross... (Hebrews 12:2). For I consider [from the standpoint of faith] that the sufferings of the present life are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us! (Romans 8:18 AMP) Amen!

GIVE THANKS

Image
Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; for His mercy and lovingkindness endure forever! — Psalm 106:1 AMP We enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. So give thanks to Him and bless His holy name. Give thanks to the LORD and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done. (1 Chronicles 16:8 NASB) It is good to give thanks to the LORD and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; (Psalm 92:1 NASB) “Therefore I will give thanks to You, O LORD, among the nations, and I will sing praises to Your name.” (2 Samuel 22:50 NASB) I will continually give thanks to the LORD with all my heart and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

Overflowing Gratitude

Image
Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude…  — Philippians 4:6 (TPT) Instead of letting worries occupy your mind and shape your life, make your specific requests to our great God, with thanksgiving, for who He is and for all He has done. Be grateful for what He is doing at this present moment. Be thankful that His ear is always open to hear your voice. I prayed to the LORD, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears.  (Psalm 34:4 NLT) For I hope in You, O LORD; You will answer, O Lord my God. (Psalm 38:15 NASB)

DRAW NEAR

Image
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. — James 4:8 (NASB) It is good for us to draw near to our heavenly Father. Make Him your refuge and abide in His peace. The greater the distance between us and God, the more room there is for distractions which will cause detours off of the path He has for us. Seek the LORD while He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near. (Isaiah 55:6) But as for me, it is good for me to draw near to God; I have made the Lord God my refuge and placed my trust in Him, that I may tell of all Your works. — Psalm 73:28 (AMP)

Learn to Rely on God

Image
We think you ought to know, dear brothers and sisters, about the trouble we went through in the province of Asia. We were crushed and overwhelmed beyond our ability to endure, and we thought we would never live through it. In fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely only on God, who raises the dead. — 2 Corinthians 1:8-9 (NLT) Cast your cares on the Lord. Instead of trusting in your own strength, let your troubles cause you to rely solely on God, who possesses the power to raise the dead. Keep your hope in Him and you will not be disappointed. He delivers the righteous from all their troubles.

All for Good

Image
You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people. — Genesis 50:20 (NLT) “For I hold you by your right hand— I, the LORD your God. And I say to you, ‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you.” (Isaiah 41:13 NLT) People may plan evil against you but God will use those same plans for your good. When you endure hardship, the great and glorious outcome, is that the lives of countless people may be preserved. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. — Psalm 23:4 (NLT)

Be Joyful

Image
Rejoice always and delight in your faith; — 1 Thessalonians 5:16 (AMP) “Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the LORD is your strength!” (Nehemiah 8:10b NLT) James 1:2 (NASB) says: Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials. Why be joyful? It is your strength to fight the good fight of faith and fulfill the purposes and plans God has for you. Joy gives you strength to resist the devil and live a victorious life. We can be joyful because we have the love and Presence of our everlasting Father. We can rejoice because we know He will make a way. We can be joyful because with our great God, all things are possible. Nothing can stand against our awesome God. Amen. Let joy be your continual feast. — 1 Thessalonians 5:16 (TPT)

The Unseen

Image
So we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are unseen; for the things which are visible are temporal [just brief and fleeting], but the things which are invisible are everlasting and imperishable. — 2 Corinthians 4:18 (AMP) Do not look at the things you see now, your current set of circumstances. The things we see now are here today, and will be gone tomorrow. Instead, remember the unseen: the love that God lavishes upon us, the new compassions He pours out every morning, and the victory that Jesus has already won for us. Focus your attention on the Presence of the Lord. He is with you always, even to the end of the age. (Matthew 28:20) He is with you in the fiery furnace and when the floodwaters threaten to overtake you. You will not be burned, and you will not drown. God will bring you through. Our eternal God is greater than anything that comes against us.

Good Success

Image
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the LORD,  and in His law he meditates day and night. — Psalm 1:1-2 (NKJV) When we meditate on the Word of God, our thoughts are elevated from our ways to His way and we can see things from His, much higher perspective. Let His Word permeate your mind and hide it in your heart, and you will be blessed and have good success, when you follow it. Joshua 1:8 says: This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. (NKJV) How well God must like you— you don’t hang out at Sin Saloon, you don’t slink along Dead-End Road, you don’t go to Smart-Mouth College. Instead you thrill to God’s Word, you chew on Scripture day and night.

His Love Never Quits

Image
Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His lovingkindness is everlasting. Give thanks to the God of gods, for His lovingkindness is everlasting. Give thanks to the Lord of lords, for His lovingkindness is everlasting. — Psalm 136:1-3 (NASB) Give thanks to the LORD and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done (1 Chronicles 16:8 NLT). God remembered us when we were down, His love never quits. Rescued us from the trampling boot, His love never quits. Takes care of everyone in time of need. His love never quits. Thank God, who did it all! His love never quits! (Psalm 136:23-26 MSG) Let your heart overflow with praise to the True God of heaven, for His faithful love lasts forever. — Psalm 136:26 (VOICE)

Come Closer

Image
Come close to the one true God, and He will draw close to you. Wash your hands; you have dirtied them in sin. Cleanse your heart, because your mind is split down the middle, your love for God on one side and selfish pursuits on the other. — James 4:8 (VOICE) Move your heart closer and closer to God, and he will come even closer to you. (James 4:8a TPT) So let God work his will in you. Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him scamper. Say a quiet yes to God and he’ll be there in no time. Quit dabbling in sin. Purify your inner life. Quit playing the field. Hit bottom, and cry your eyes out. The fun and games are over. Get serious, really serious. Get down on your knees before the Master; it’s the only way you’ll get on your feet. (James 4:7-10 MSG)

Believe

Image
It’s impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him. — Hebrews 11:6 (MSG) Let us draw near to God with sincere hearts, full of faith. Believe that He exists and that He cares deeply for you. Jesus could not do many miracles in His hometown because of their lack of faith. May we live by faith, and earnestly and diligently seek God, His will and His Kingdom, because He who promised is faithful. Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word. (Hebrews 10:23 MSG)

Peace at All Times

Image
You will keep the peace, a perfect peace, for all who trust in You, for those who dedicate their hearts and minds to You. — Isaiah 26:3 (VOICE) We will only abide in peace to the degree that we place our trust in the LORD. The enemy steals our peace when we meditate on challenging situations and difficult circumstances. This leads to frustration, fear, and hopelessness. Dedicate your heart and mind to the LORD. When what we see does not line up with the Word of God and His wonderful promises, we must make a decision to keep our trust in God and stand on His Word. Depend on God and keep at it because in the Lord God you have a sure thing (Isaiah 26:4 MSG). So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! (Hebrews 10:35 NLT) Now may the Lord of peace Himself grant you His peace at all times and in every way [that peace and spiritual well-being that comes to those who walk with Him, regardless of life’s circumstances]. The Lord be with

Out of the Whirlwind

Image
Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind… — Job 38:1 (NKJV) Do not fear the storms of life. The storm won't outlast our mighty God. And Nahum 1:3 says, the LORD has His way in the whirlwind and in the storm. His ways our higher than ours. Let what needs to be blown out of your life be carried away. When the whirlwind passes by, the wicked is no more, but the righteous has an everlasting foundation. (Proverbs 10:25 NKJV) Stand firm on our strong foundation and watch for God to answer you out of the whirlwind. Out of the raging storm, the Eternal One answered Job. — Job 38:1 (VOICE)

Take a Real Rest

Image
“Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Then come to me. I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis. — Matthew 11:28 (TPT) An oasis is a pleasant or peaceful place in the midst of a difficult situation or troubling circumstance. Jesus is our calm in a troubled world. Come to Him and be refreshed. In Matthew 11:29-30 (MSG), Jesus says: “ I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly. ” We life free and light when we join our lives with Him and learn from Him. Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret … — Psalm 37:7a (NKJV)

Seize the Hope

Image
…so that through two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to seize the hope set before us. — Hebrews 6:18 (CSB) Why, my soul, are you so dejected? Why are you in such turmoil? Put your hope in God, for I will still praise him, my Savior and my God. (Psalm 42:11 CSB) This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary. Jesus has already gone in there for us. He has become our eternal High Priest in the order of Melchizedek. (Hebrews 6:19-20 NLT) God is our refuge and help. He is our only hope.  How blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, Whose hope is in the Lord his God,  Who made heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them; Who keeps faith forever; — Psalm 146:5-6 (CSB)

Our First Love

Image
Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. — 1 John 2:15-16 (NLT) Don’t dilute your love for the Father, by setting the affections of your heart on this world. Listen to what the Spirit says to the churches. “ I know you are patiently enduring and holding firm on behalf of My name. You have not become faint. However, I have this against you: you have abandoned your first love. ” (Revelation 2:3-4 VOICE) If you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, setting your desires and affections on the heavenly things, not on earthly things, which have only temporal value. Just as the Father has lavished His love upon us, may Jesus be our first love. May His Presence be the passionate longi

The LORD is my Shepherd

Image
The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. — Psalm 23:1-3 (NASB) When the LORD is our Shepherd, He will provide all that we need. Our heavenly Father is a good Father, He always provides for the needs of His children, and constantly takes care of us. Jesus is the Good Shepherd and He laid His life down for the sheep (John 10:11). When the storms of life come, the LORD leads us beside quiet waters. He is our inner peace, in every chaotic situation. He leads us along on the right paths, however, we must choose to follow Him. When we make the decision to follow Him, He will take us higher and deeper, and from glory to glory. He continually restores and revives our lives, day by day. God pours out new compassions and mercies upon us, each and every morning. (Lamentations 3:22-23) If God is indeed the Lord of our lives, goodness a

Worship the LORD

Image
Give unto the LORD the glory due to His name; Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. — Psalm 29:2 (NKJV) Come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come to him with thanksgiving. Let us sing psalms of praise to him. (Psalm 95:1-2 NLT) Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is yours, O LORD, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as the one who is over all things. (1 Chronicles 29:11 NLT) Blessed [gratefully praised and adored] be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, — 2 Corinthians 1:3 (AMP)

Don’t Drift

Image
This is why it is so crucial that we be all the more engaged and attentive to the truths that we have heard so that we do not drift off course. — Hebrews 2:1 (TPT) Jesus explained, “I am the Way, I am the Truth, and I am the Life. No one comes next to the Father except through union with me. To know me is to know my Father too.” (John 14:6 TPT) Jesus is the truth. Be engaged and attentive to Him. Take care you don’t stray from the straight path, the way of truth, and you will safely reach the end of your road. (Proverbs 4:26 VOICE) Your unfailing love is always before me; I have journeyed down Your path of truth. — Psalm 26:3 (VOICE)

Enjoy Life!

Image
The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].” — John 10:10 (AMP) Let the enemy steal no more. Enjoy life in the abundant goodness and grace of God. “Everything we could ever need for life and godliness has already been deposited in us by his divine power. For all this was lavished upon us through the rich experience of knowing him who has called us by name and invited us to come to him through a glorious manifestation of his goodness.” (2 Peter 1:3 TPT)

Deeper Dependence

Image
Three times I pleaded with the Lord to relieve me of this. But he answered me, “My grace is always more than enough for you, and my power finds its full expression through your weakness.” So I will celebrate my weaknesses, for when I’m weak I sense more deeply the mighty power of Christ living in me. — 2 Corinthians 12:8-9 (TPT) The Apostle Paul says, “ I was given the gift of a handicap to keep me in constant touch with my limitations. Satan’s angel did his best to get me down; what he in fact did was push me to my knees. ” (2 Corinthians 12:7 MSG) If you have something that feels like a thorn in your flesh, let it draw you into a deeper dependence on God. His power finds its full expression through our weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:10 (TPT), says our weakness becomes a portal to God’s power. 2 Corinthians 12:10 (MSG) goes on to say: …I quit focusing on the handicap and began appreciating the gift. It was a case of Christ’s strength moving in on my weakness. Now I take limitations

WAIT

Image
Guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; for You [and only You] I wait [expectantly] all the day long. — Psalm 25:5 (AMP) Wait on the LORD. He will send the answer. He will make a way, where there seems to be no way. God will open the door that needs to be opened and close the door that needs to be closed. The promise will be fulfilled. His Word does not return to Him void. It shall accomplish His intended purpose. It shall succeed in the thing for which He sent it. (Isaiah 55:11) Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face continually. — 1 Chronicles 16:11 (NASB)

ENDURE HARDSHIP

Image
Strengthen them with Your infinite power, according to Your glorious might, so that they will have everything they need to hold on and endure hardship patiently and joyfully. — Colossians 1:11 (VOICE) Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you (1 Peter 4:12 NLT). Jesus told us in this world we would have trouble. (John 16:33).  However, He also says: “ I have triumphed over this corrupt world order. ” (John 16:33 VOICE). Therefore, endure hardship with patience and joy, absolutely convinced that we are victorious. The Lord will stand with you and strengthen you, as He did with the Apostle Paul in 2 Timothy 4:17. If we endure, we shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him, He also will deny us. (2 Timothy 2:12 NKJV)

Never Forgotten

Image
Eternal One: Is it possible for a mother, however disappointed, however hurt, to forget her nursing child? Can she feel nothing for the baby she carried and birthed? Even if she could, I, God, will never forget you. Look here. I have made you a part of Me, written you on the palms of My hands. Your city walls are always on My mind, always My concern. — Isaiah 49:15-16 (VOICE) Continually cast your cares upon the LORD for He cares for you. He has not forgotten about you. Thou everyone else may desert you, the LORD is with you. He will never abandon you nor forsake you. Jesus is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. He is our Constant Companion. Every single moment you are thinking of me! How precious and wonderful to consider  that you cherish me constantly in your every thought! O God, your desires toward me are more than the grains of sand on every shore! When I awake each morning, you’re still with me. — Psalm 139:17-18 (TPT)

Power & Love

Image
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control]. — 2 Timothy 1:7 (AMP) God has not given us a spirit of fear. And if God has not given us something, we don’t want it. Refuse fear and walk in faith. God has given us a spirit of power. He has given us power to maintain a sense of peace in the midst of chaotic circumstances. We have power to respond in love, when others spew hatred. His Spirit empowers us to forgive those who have hurt or offended us. He has given us the power to speak His Word boldly. When we submit to God, we have power to resist the devil. (James 4:7). God has given you power to let all that you do be done in love. (1 Corinthians 16:14). Amen. May we walk in the power of love of His Holy Spirit at all times. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and

Pay Attention

Image
He who pays attention to the word [of God] will find good … Proverbs 16:20a (AMP) Don’t treat the Word of God, like a book of fairy tales. It’s not just another bedtime story. It is the truth that will set you free (John 8:32). It is life and power (Hebrews 4:12). It contains precious promises from God. Not one promise from God is empty of power ... (Luke 1:37a TPT). The Holy Bible is a love letter from our Heavenly Father, declaring His unfailing love for us. It’s a road map to navigate you through life successfully. Psalm 119:105 NLT says,  Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.  Have you ever tried to get somewhere you've never been before without using a guide? The Word is a weapon, the Sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17). Jesus used it to triumph through His time of temptation (Luke 4:1-13), and we can too. Meditate on the Word. Let it renew your mind. Speak it out of your mouth, and stand victoriously. Jesus replied, “ But even more blessed are
