Actively Press On

Image
Not that I have already obtained it [this goal of being Christlike] or have already been made perfect, but I actively press on so that I may take hold of that [perfection] for which Christ Jesus took hold of me and made me His own. — Philippians 3:12 (AMP) Brothers and sisters, I do not consider that I have made it my own yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the [heavenly] prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:13-14 AMP) Instead of dwelling on the loss and disappointments of 2020, look forward to 2021 with a living hope and expectation of what our great God will do and is doing right now. We must hold on to the progress we have already made (See Philippians 3:16 NLT), and press on to perfection. Press on to maturity (See Hebrews 6:1) Let’s press on to know the LORD!  (See Hosea 6:3) Press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize.

Keep at It

Image
People with their minds set on you, you keep completely whole, Steady on their feet, because they keep at it and don’t quit. Depend on God and keep at it because in the Lord God you have a sure thing. — Isaiah 26:3-4 MSG Set your mind on the LORD. O my people, trust in him at all times. Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge. Interlude  (Psalm 62:8 NLT) Yes, trust in the Lord Yahweh forever and ever! For Yah, the Lord God, is your Rock of Ages! (Isaiah 26:4 TPT) Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who makes the LORD his trust, and does not regard the proud nor those who lapse into lies. (Psalm 40:4 AMP)

Always Available

Image
God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea. Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge! Interlude — Psalm 46:1-3 (NLT) Our mighty God is a proven help in time of trouble. He is more than enough and always available. Just call upon Him. In the dark day of gloom and doom, His light still shines bright. Amen.

Trust & Rely

Image
But I have trusted and relied on and been confident in Your lovingkindness and faithfulness; My heart shall rejoice and delight in Your salvation. I will sing to the LORD, because He has dealt bountifully with me. — Psalm 13:5-6 (AMP) Thus says the LORD, “ Cursed is the man who trusts in and relies on mankind ...” (Jeremiah 17:5 AMP) Let us trust in and rely on the unfailing love of the LORD. His love is constant. It does not change on the basis of our performance. Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but he who trusts in and relies on the LORD shall be surrounded with compassion and lovingkindness. (Psalm 32:10 AMP) “ Blessed [with spiritual security] is the man who believes and trusts in and relies on the LORD and whose hope and confident expectation is the LORD. ” — Jeremiah 17:7 (AMP)

Never Forget

Image
Bless and affectionately praise the LORD, O my soul, and all that is [deep] within me, bless His holy name. Bless and affectionately praise the LORD, O my soul, and do not forget any of His benefits; Who forgives all your sins, Who heals all your diseases; Who redeems your life from the pit, Who crowns you [lavishly] with lovingkindness and tender mercy; Who satisfies your years with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the [soaring] eagle. — Psalm 103:1-5 (AMP) Never forget all the good Yahweh has done. Long before He gave birth to the earth and before the mountains were born, He has been from everlasting to everlasting, the one and only true God. (See Psalm 90:2 TPT). And what a good God He is!

Worship & Bow Down

Image
O come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker [in reverent praise and prayer]. For He is our God and we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice, — Psalm 95:6-7 (AMP)  May we continually give thanks and worship the LORD, our Maker. Bow down in humility and with a heart attitude of submission to our heavenly Father. For God has proved his love by giving us his greatest treasure, the gift of his Son. And since God freely offered him up as the sacrifice for us all, he certainly won’t withhold from us anything else he has to give. (Romans 8:32 TPT) Now may God, the inspiration and fountain of hope, fill you to overflowing with uncontainable joy and perfect peace as you trust in him. And may the power of the Holy Spirit continually surround your life with his super-abundance until you radiate with hope! — Romans 15:13 (TPT)

Come to Worship

Image
Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the reign of King Herod. About that time some wise men from eastern lands arrived in Jerusalem, asking, “Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw his star as it rose, and we have come to worship him.” — Matthew 2:1-2 (NLT) The wise men came to Jesus to worship Him. They did not come to see what they could get from Him, instead they bowed down in humility and worshiped Him in adoration. Then they opened their treasure chests and gave Him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. (See Matthew 2:11) May we come to the throne of grace and worship Christ each and every day, God gives us breath. All glory to him who alone is God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are his before all time, and in the present, and beyond all time! Amen. — Jude 25 (NLT)

Know the Truth

Image
For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies. — John 8:44 (NLT) I know this is an odd Scripture for Christmas Eve, but I was reminded in my quiet time this morning, how much of a liar the devil really is. One Christmas morning over 28 years ago, I was being bombarded with suicidal thoughts. The devil was telling me, I may as well kill myself because my life was never going to get any better. Liar, liar, liar! God has blessed my life exceedingly beyond what I could have ever imagined that day. If this Christmas season finds you in a difficult place, remember the Scripture God gave me that morning: Psalm 27:13 (NKJV) , I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living. If you are be

He will be Called

Image
For a Child will be born to us, a Son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. — Isaiah 9:6 (NASB) Isaiah says Jesus will be called. Have you called upon Him today? He is the Wonderful Counselor . Unlike therapists and advisors in the world, our Wonderful Counselor has no office hours. We can talk to Him 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. One of the definitions of wonderful is extremely good. Oh how good, is our God! Call upon our Mighty God . He is all-powerful. He is the source of strength and power. With Him, ALL things are possible. Call upon Eternal Father . Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, and is in every moment in between the two. Wherever you are today, He is there with you. And He cares for you as a good Father. Call upon the Prince of Peace . God’s peace, exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds

The Perfect Gift

Image
Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. — James 1:17 (NASB) During this time of year, so many are consumed with finding the perfect gift. Let us pause and remember that JESUS is the most precious and perfect gift of all time. Let us reflect on how we can give more of Jesus to those in our lives. He is the best and greatest gift of all time. Then we need to ask ourselves, what gift are we going to offer King JESUS , our Savior? It is the season in which we choose to celebrate HIS birth. Will we bring Him a humble heart, submitted to doing the will of the Father? Will we present the members of our body to Him as holy vessels, ready to be used to bring glory to the Kingdom of God? Will we seek peace and actively pursue it, with all people? What are you willing to lay on His altar today?

He will Never Fail You

Image
So if you are suffering in a manner that pleases God, keep on doing what is right, and trust your lives to the God who created you, for he will never fail you. — 1 Peter 4:19 (NLT) Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. (1 Peter 4:12 NLT) …after your brief suffering, the God of all loving grace, who has called you to share in his eternal glory in Christ, will personally and powerfully restore you and make you stronger than ever. Yes, he will set you firmly in place and build you up. (1 Peter 5:10 TPT) Amen.

Come Boldly

Image
So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary. — Hebrews 6:18-19 (NLT) So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. (Hebrews 4:16 NLT)

One Thing

Image
One thing I have asked of the LORD, and that I will seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD [in His presence] all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty [the delightful loveliness and majestic grandeur] of the LORD and to meditate in His temple. — Psalm 27:4 (AMP) The one thing we have that no one can ever take away from us is the Presence of our heavenly Father. In His Presence, we have all that we need. His hand has no limitations. His love knows no boundaries. The love of His light and grace reaches into the darkest crevices of our hearts and brings healing and wholeness. He sees all and knows all, and He still loves us, and wants only the best for us. He says to each person, “ Come closer. ” Let His love draw you closer and gaze upon His divine and glorious beauty today.

Live by Faith

Image
“And my righteous ones will live by faith. But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away.”But we are not like those who turn away from God to their own destruction. We are  the faithful ones, whose souls will be saved. — Hebrews 10:38-39 (NLT) The righteous do not live by their fickle feelings, nor by the ways of this world. We live by faith. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1 NKJV). So now we must cling tightly to the hope that lives within us, knowing that God always keeps his promises! Discover creative ways to encourage others and to motivate them toward acts of compassion, doing beautiful works as expressions of love. (Hebrews 10:23-24 TPT)

He is Near

Image
Do not yield to fear, for I am always near. Never turn your gaze from me,[a] for I am your faithful God. I will infuse you with my strength and help you in every situation. I will hold you firmly with my victorious right hand.’ — Isaiah 41:10 (TPT) Have no fear because our great God is near. He is Elohim, the all-powerful Creator of the universe. Nothing is too difficult for Him. He is also, El Roi, the God Who sees you. He knows the number of hairs on your head. He knows what you're going to say even before you say it. (See Psalm 139:4) Our heavenly Father knows your exact circumstances, and He has already made a way through, just for you. Amen and Hallelujah!

Faithfully Follow

Image
If anyone serves Me, he must [continue to faithfully] follow Me [without hesitation, holding steadfastly to Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me]; and wherever I am [in heaven’s glory], there will My servant be also. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him. — John 12:26 (AMP) Faithfully follow Jesus, without hesitation. May everyone who knows your mercy keep putting their trust in you, for they can count on you for help no matter what. O Lord, you will never, no never, neglect those who come to you. (Psalm 9:10 TPT) Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. (Psalm 23:4 NLT)

He Stands by You

Image
At my first trial no one supported me [as an advocate] or stood with me, but they all deserted me. May it not be counted against them [by God]. But the Lord stood by me and strengthened and empowered me… — 2 Timothy 4:16-17 (AMP) When all others desert you, know that the Lord stands by you. He will strengthen and empower you to do His will and complete the ministry He has given to you. I encourage you to fight the good fight, finish the course, and keep the faith. (See 2 Timothy 4:7) Be a good soldier of Jesus the Anointed One.  For You bless the righteous person, LORD, You surround him with favor as with a shield. — Psalm 5:12 (NASB)

Fix Your Gaze

Image
So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. — 2 Corinthians 4:18 (NLT) The world is unstable, and constantly changing, but we don’t have to be blown back and forth with the waves of current events. Bombarding your mind with a constant flow of negative news, will lead to despair and feelings of defeat. Instead fix your gaze upon Jesus and renew your mind with the living Word of God. He is our strong foundation and our stability. He is the everlasting Prince of Peace. In His Presence is fullness of joy, and He has already gained the victory for us. And He will be the security and stability of your times, a treasure of salvation, wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the LORD is your treasure. — Isaiah 33:6 (AMP)

He is There

Image
Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “The LORD is certainly in this place, and I did not know it!” — Genesis 28:16 (NASB) When Jacob was in the middle of the desert, on the run for his life, God gave him a dream. As he slept, he dreamed of a stairway that reached from the earth up to heaven. And he saw the angels of God going up and down the stairway. The LORD stood at the top of the stairway and spoke to him. When Jacob woke up, he was aware that God was with him. Wherever you are today, remember, the LORD is certainly in that place with you. He will never leave you, nor forsake you. Let His Presence give you comfort, confidence and courage to press on.

Set Free

Image
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. — Romans 8:2 (NASB) We are no longer slaves to sin. Jesus has set us free to live a more abundant life of love, joy, and peace, in holiness and righteousness. So now, what can I ever give back to God to repay him for the blessings he’s poured out on me? I will lift up his cup of salvation and praise him extravagantly for all that he’s done for me. (Psalm 116:12-13 TPT) Lord, because I am your loving servant, you have broken open my life and freed me from my chains. Now I’ll worship you passionately and bring to you my sacrifice of praise, drenched with thanksgiving! (Psalm 116:16-17 TPT) May our lips continually give thanks to God and praise Him. He has been so good to us, and His goodness and mercy extends to all generations. “ The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, because He anointed Me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim release to captives, and recovery of sight

Don’t Drift

Image
But you must continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it. Don’t drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News. The Good News has been preached all over the world, and I, Paul, have been appointed as God’s servant to proclaim it. — Colossians 1:23 (NLT) Beloved brothers and sisters, I urge you to continue in the faith, firmly established and steadfast. Cling to your faith in Christ, and keep your conscience clear. For some people have deliberately violated their consciences; as a result, their faith has been shipwrecked. (1 Timothy 1:19 NLT) Let faith and hope be a strong and trustworthy anchor for your souls.  We have this certain hope like a strong, unbreakable anchor holding our souls to God himself. Our anchor of hope is fastened to the mercy seat which sits in the heavenly realm beyond the sacred threshold, — Hebrews 6:19 (TPT)

Have Great Confidence

Image
And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. — Romans 8:28 (AMP) Second Timothy 1:9 says, God saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was granted to us in Christ Jesus. We have been called. The question is, will we accept His invitation to live according to His plan? If we love God and consistently answer His call, we can rejoice and have great confidence that God will work everything together for good. His plans for us are good and not for disaster, to give us a future and a hope. (See Jeremiah 29:11) ...thanks be to God, who gives us the victory [as conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ.  — 1 Corinthians 15:57 (AMP)

Don’t be Surprised

Image
Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal which is taking place to test you [that is, to test the quality of your faith], as though something strange or unusual were happening to you. — 1 Peter 4:12 (AMP) We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. (2 Corinthians 4:8-9 NLT) Amen. If God be for us, who can stand against us?

Surrounded

Image
Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but remains forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people from this time and forever. — Psalm 125:1-2 (NASB) His Presence is in you and all around you. “It is the LORD who goes before you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or abandon you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” (Deuteronomy 31:8 AMP) For nothing will be impossible with God.” (Luke 1:37 NASB) You’ve gone into my future to prepare the way, and in kindness you follow behind me to spare me from the harm of my past. With your hand of love upon my life, you impart a blessing to me. — Psalm 139:5 (TPT)

Be Fruitful

Image
But the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit within you is divine love in all its varied expressions: joy that overflows, peace that subdues, patience that endures, kindness in action, a life full of virtue, faith that prevails, gentleness of heart, and strength of spirit. Never set the law above these qualities, for they are meant to be limitless. — Galatians 5:22-23 (TPT) As the Holy Spirit makes these deposits into us, let us pay it forward and shower those around us with His love (unselfish concern for others), joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness and gentleness. May we walk in faithfulness, always seeing the best in others. And exercise self-control, being quick to forgive. Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. Let us not become conceited, or provoke one another, or be jealous of one another. — Galatians 5:25-26 (NLT)

Depend on Him

Image
It is because of the LORD’s lovingkindnesses that we are not consumed, Because His [tender] compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great and beyond measure is Your faithfulness. — Lamentations 3:22-23 (AMP) I say to myself, “The LORD is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!” The LORD is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him. (Lamentations 3:24-25 NLT) In Jeremiah 29:13 (NASB), the LORD says: “ And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. ” Our heavenly Father is faithful and He loves us with an everlasting love. Depend on Him. Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but he who trusts in and relies on the LORD shall be surrounded with compassion and lovingkindness. — Psalm 32:10 (NASB)

Saved by GRACE!

Image
This is what the LORD says: “Don’t let the wise boast in their wisdom, or the powerful boast in their power, or the rich boast in their riches. But those who wish to boast should boast in this alone: that they truly know me and understand that I am the LORD who demonstrates unfailing love and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth, and that I delight in these things. I, the LORD, have spoken!” — Jeremiah 9:23-24 (NLT) God saved us by His grace when we believed. And we can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. (See Ephesians 2:8) I praise the LORD, that 31 years ago today, I accepted His free gift of eternal life, and a continually growing relationship with our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus. And the Lord is patient toward you, not willing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance. (See 2 Peter 3:9) God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us

Follow Him

Image
I hear the Lord saying, “I will stay close to you, instructing and guiding you along the pathway for your life. I will advise you along the way and lead you forth with my eyes as your guide. So don’t make it difficult; don’t be stubborn when I take you where you’ve not been before. Don’t make me tug you and pull you along. Just come with me!” — Psalm 32:8-9 (TPT) In Luke 10:41 (NASB), Jesus said, “ Martha, Martha, you are worried and distracted by many things …” Don’t let distractions and the cares of this world, hinder you from following Jesus, our Lord and Savior. When Jesus called those who became His disciples, they immediately left what they were doing and followed Him. (See Matthew 4:19-20, Matthew 4:21-22) They left their old way of life. What are you willing to give up, to pursue a deeper and closer walk with Christ? May we follow Jesus, wherever He leads. Jesus is the answer. He is our only hope. Christ is the ultimate Fixer. Jesus the Anointed One, delivers, He rescues and He

Where is Your Confidence?

Image
We think you ought to know, dear brothers and sisters, about the trouble we went through in the province of Asia. We were crushed and overwhelmed beyond our ability to endure, and we thought we would never live through it. In fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely only on God, who raises the dead. And he did rescue us from mortal danger, and he will rescue us again. We have placed our confidence in him, and he will continue to rescue us. — 2 Corinthians 1:8-10 (NLT) Instead of trusting in our own strength, may we place all of our trust in God, Who raises the dead! In the midst of severe trials and troubles, don't lose hope and never give up. Learn how to rely only on God. Keep your faith and confidence in Him, and He will rescue you again and again.

Flourish

Image
Yahweh will always guide you where to go and what to do. He will fill you with refreshment even when you are in a dry, difficult place. He will continually restore strength to you, so you will flourish like a well-watered garden and like an ever-flowing, trustworthy spring of blessing. — Isaiah 58:11 (TPT) In Isaiah 55:3 (TPT), the LORD says, “ Pay attention and come closer to me, and hear, that your total being may flourish. I will enter into an everlasting covenant with you, and I will show you the same faithful love that I showed David. ” The NASB version says “ Listen, that you may live …” Let us consistently listen to the LORD, go when and where He says, and do what He directs us to do. May we not look to the left nor to the right, but keep our eyes on Jesus. As we follow His lead, we will flourish, in spite of those difficult places of adversity. Those who are devoted to God will flourish like budding date-palm trees; they will grow strong and tall like cedars in Lebanon. — Psal

Called to Peace

Image
Let the peace of Christ [the inner calm of one who walks daily with Him] be the controlling factor in your hearts [deciding and settling questions that arise]. To this peace indeed you were called as members in one body [of believers]. And be thankful [to God always]. — Colossians 3:15 (AMP) Continual prayer, praise and thanksgiving keeps us focused on our mighty God and His Presence, Who is always with us. In His Presence, we have complete joy and everlasting peace. Feeding on the news and social media, more than the Word of God will keep you anxious, fearful, and depressed. Let us abide in the peace, Jesus gave us. Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.] — John 14:27 (AMP)

A Continual Feast

Image
This is the day which the LORD has made; Let’s rejoice and be glad in it. — Psalm 118:24 (NASB) Let joy be your continual feast. Make your life a prayer. And in the midst of everything be always giving thanks, for this is God’s perfect plan for you in Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 TPT) Joy will be our continual feast as we continually cast our cares on the LORD and always give thanks for what He has done, is doing and will do in our lives and in this world.

Lavished with Love

Image
Keep on giving your thanks to God, for he is so good! His constant, tender love lasts forever! — Psalm 118:1 (TPT) So now I live with the confidence that there is nothing in the universe with the power to separate us from God’s love. I’m convinced that his love will triumph over death, life’s troubles, fallen angels, or dark rulers in the heavens. There is nothing in our present or future circumstances that can weaken his love. There is no power above us or beneath us—no power that could ever be found in the universe that can distance us from God’s passionate love, which is lavished upon us through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One! (Romans 8:38-39 TPT) Our mighty God is faithful and His love is constant. He is with us in the fiery furnace, in the midst of stormy seas, in the valley and in the barren desert. He goes before us and makes a way for us.

Strong & Steady

Image
Now you have every spiritual gift you need as you eagerly wait for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. He will keep you strong to the end so that you will be free from all blame on the day when our Lord Jesus Christ returns. God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. — 1 Corinthians 1:7-9 (NLT) We are called to partner with Jesus the Christ, to be ambassadors for the Kingdom of God. His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness. Let us keep our eyes on Jesus. Rely only on Him and He will keep you strong and steady to the end.

Be Strengthened

Image
You empower me for victory with your wrap-around presence. Your power within makes me strong to subdue, and by stooping down in gentleness you strengthened me and made me great! — Psalm 18:35 (TPT) Abide in His Presence, and receive strength and power from His Spirit within you. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. (Ephesians 3:16-18 NLT) May we be rooted and grounded in the love of God.

Celebrate!

Image
And Nehemiah continued, “Go and celebrate with a feast of rich foods and sweet drinks, and share gifts of food with people who have nothing prepared. This is a sacred day before our Lord. Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength!” — Nehemiah 8:10 (NLT) Let us remember to celebrate all the good things the LORD has done for us and the people He has allowed us to share our lives with. Times of celebration are refreshing and they make the heart glad. Taking time to reflect on what the LORD has done in our lives, helps us to have an attitude of gratitude. May we honor God as the true source of all we have. I will praise the name of God with song and magnify Him with thanksgiving. — Psalm 69:30 (AMP)

Be Filled

Image
Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts. And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. — Ephesians 5:18-20 (NLT) Be filled with the Holy Spirit and constantly guided by Him. For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons and daughters of God. (Romans 8:14 NASB) For the Holy Spirit makes God’s fatherhood real to us as he whispers into our innermost being, “You are God’s beloved child!” (Romans 8:16 TPT) Amen!

Continue to Follow Christ

Image
And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. — Colossians 2:6-7 NLT May we continue our journey of faith, progressing further into our union with him! (See Colossians 2:6 TPT) Even though the Lord may allow you to go through a season of hardship and difficulty, he himself will be there with you. He will not hide himself from you, for your eyes will constantly see him as your Teacher. When you turn to the right or turn to the left, you will hear his voice behind you to guide you, saying, “This is the right path; follow it.” (Isaiah 30:20-21 TPT)

Come Closer

Image
Yet, in spite of all this, you comfort me by your counsel; you draw me closer to you. You lead me with your secret wisdom. and following you brings me into your brightness and glory! — Psalm 73:23-24 (TPT) I believe, God will use everything that happens in our lives to draw us closer to Him. Never draw back from pursuing a closer and deeper relationship with our Heavenly Father. ...I’ll keep coming closer and closer to you, Lord Yahweh, for your name is good to me. I’ll keep telling the world of your awesome works, my faithful and glorious God! (Psalm 73:28 TPT) Let us come closer to God and approach him with an open heart, fully convinced by faith that nothing will keep us at a distance from him. For our hearts have been sprinkled with blood to remove impurity and we have been freed from an accusing conscience and now we are clean, unstained, and presentable to God inside and out! (See Hebrews 10:22 TPT)

Now when the attendant of the man of God had risen early and gone out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was circling the city. And his servant said to him, “This is hopeless, my master! What are we to do?” And he said, “Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are greater than those who are with them.” — 2 Kings 6:15-16 (NASB) Then Elisha prayed and said, “LORD, please, open his eyes so that he may see.” And the LORD opened the servant’s eyes, and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. (2 Kings 6:17 NASB) The circumstances of a child of God are never hopeless. The enemy wants you to believe that he has you surrounded, but we are surrounded by our great God and His mighty angels.  Remember, there are more with us than with the enemy. Who can stand against us, with God on our side? May you see every situation through eyes of faith.

Fix Your Gaze

Image
We look away from the natural realm and we fasten our gaze onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. His example is this: Because his heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be his, he endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God! — Hebrews 12:2 (TPT) So don’t look at the troubles we can see now. Let us look away from all that will distract us and look to Jesus. Stop examining the problem and look to the One Who is the answer. My gaze is fixed upon You, Eternal One, my Lord; in You I find safety and protection. (Psalm 141:8a VOICE)  Gaze upon him, join your life with his, and joy will come. Your faces will glisten with glory. You’ll never wear that shame-face again. — Psalm 34:5 (TPT)

Joy & Peace

Image
Now may God, the inspiration and fountain of hope, fill you to overflowing with uncontainable joy and perfect peace as you trust in him. And may the power of the Holy Spirit continually surround your life with his super-abundance until you radiate with hope! — Romans 15:13 (TPT) Second Corinthians 7:4 (VOICE) says: I am completely confident and incredibly proud of you. Even in all this turbulence I am at peace—I am overflowing with joy. Even in times of trouble we can be filled to overflowing with joy and in perfect peace. For you will go out with joy and be led in peace; the mountains and the hills will break into shouts of joy before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. (Isaiah 55:12 NASB) May you radiate with hope and let joy and peace spill over on everyone you come in contact with today.

Seek & Find

Image
Seek and deeply long for the LORD and His strength [His power, His might]; Seek and deeply long for His face and His presence continually. — Psalm 105:4 (AMP) It is not a matter of hide and seek with the LORD. In Jeremiah 29:13 (NASB), the LORD says: “And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.” The LORD looks down from heaven on the entire human race; he looks to see if anyone is truly wise, if anyone seeks God. (Psalm 14:2 NLT) …they who seek the LORD will not lack any good thing. (Psalm 34:10b NASB) Amen. “ So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, it will be opened .” — Luke 11:9-10 (NASB)

Don’t Stop

Image
So the jailer placed them in the innermost cell of the prison and had their feet bound and chained. Paul and Silas, undaunted, prayed in the middle of the night and sang songs of praise to God, while all the other prisoners listened to their worship. — Acts 16:24-25 (TPT) Paul and Silas did not let adversity stop them from praising and worshiping God. No matter what adverse circumstances you may be going through, keep praying, praising and worshiping our mighty God. How happy are those who have learned how to praise You; those who journey through life by the light of Your face. Every hour of the day, they rejoice at the sound of Your name. They are lifted up and encouraged by Your righteousness. — Psalm 89:15-16 (VOICE)

Capture Your Thoughts

Image
For although we live in the natural realm, we don’t wage a military campaign employing human weapons, using manipulation to achieve our aims. Instead, our spiritual weapons are energized with divine power to effectively dismantle the defenses behind which people hide. — 2 Corinthians 10:3-4 (TPT) Our spiritual weapons are very effective. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. (Ephesians 6:13 NLT) Embrace the power of salvation’s full deliverance, like a helmet to protect your thoughts from lies. (Ephesians 6:17a TPT) We can demolish every deceptive fantasy that opposes God and break through every arrogant attitude that is raised up in defiance of the true knowledge of God. We capture, like prisoners of war, every thought and insist that it bow in obedience to the Anointed One.  — 2 Corinthians 10:5  (TPT)

Always Near

Image
Do not yield to fear, for I am always near. Never turn your gaze from me, for I am your faithful God. I will infuse you with my strength and help you in every situation. I will hold you firmly with my victorious right hand.’ — Isaiah 41:10 (TPT) Our faithful God, who cannot lie, is always near and promises to help us in every situation. Let us look away from all that will distract us and focus our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith… (See Hebrews 12:2 AMP). for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’ (Acts 17:28 NKJV)

Release & Receive

Image
Cast your burden on the LORD [release it] and He will sustain and uphold you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken (slip, fall, fail). — Psalm 55:22 (AMP) May we clear away all the clutter in our hearts and the cares of this world. As we release our concerns and burdens, we become vessels that are able to receive. Our heavenly Father will fill you with His love, peace and joy. Be filled with His Spirit and you will be empowered to share all that you receive with those around you.

How to Get Along

Image
I know how to get along and live humbly [in difficult times], and I also know how to enjoy abundance and live in prosperity. In any and every circumstance I have learned the secret [of facing life], whether well-fed or going hungry, whether having an abundance or being in need. — Philippians 4:12 (AMP) The secret to getting along in any and every situation is to continually rely on our heavenly Father. Invest your energy into trusting God and believing His Word, instead of wasting energy worrying and trying to control circumstances that are beyond your control. Instead of letting your current situation determine your attitude and how you feel, connect your joy to His Presence, and experience fullness of joy because He is always with us. And remember Philippians 4:13.  I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through

All We Need

Image
Now may the God of peace— who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, and ratified an eternal covenant with his blood— may he equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to him. All glory to him forever and ever! Amen. — Hebrews 13:20-21 (NLT) God has given us all we need to experience a more abundant life and to reflect God’s true nature on the earth. By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. (2 Peter 1:3 NLT) However, we must receive it and walk it out. Let us put on the full armor of God, so that we will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil, (See Ephesians 6:11-18), and walk in the victory Jesus has gained for us. In Him, you are not powerless and pitiful but strong

No Greater Gain

Image
I once thought these things were valuable, but now I consider them worthless because of what Christ has done. Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ and become one with him. — Philippians 3:7-9a (NLT) Nothing of this world can compare to the glory and honor we have to know Christ, and be yoked together with Him as we fulfill our purpose. May we count everything as loss compared to the priceless privilege and supreme advantage of knowing Christ Jesus our Lord and of growing more deeply and thoroughly acquainted with Him—a joy unequaled. (See Philippians 3:8 AMP)
