A Proven Help

Image
God, you’re such a safe and powerful place to find refuge! You’re a proven help in time of trouble— more than enough and always available whenever I need you. — Psalm 46:1 (TPT) Almighty God is a very present help in times of trouble. His help has been well-proven throughout the generations. God is our shelter and our strength. When troubles seem near, God is closer, and He’s always ready to help. There is no reason to run and hide. For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.” So we can say with confidence, “The LORD is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?” (Hebrews 13:5b-6 NLT)

Call to Worship

Image
Happy are those who hear the joyful call to worship, for they will walk in the light of your presence, LORD. — Psalm 89:15 (NLT) Why worry, when you are called to worship? Exalt the Lord our God and worship at His holy hill, for holy is the Lord our God. (Psalm 99:9 NASB) Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name; Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. (Psalm 29:2 NKJV) O LORD, our LORD, How majestic is Your name in all the earth! (Psalm 8:9 NASB) Just one day in the courts of Your temple is greater than a thousand anywhere else. I would rather serve as a porter at my God’s doorstep than live in luxury in the house of the wicked. (Psalm 84:10 VOICE)

Under His Care

Image
Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the LORD our maker, for he is our God. We are the people he watches over, the flock under his care. If only you would listen to his voice today! — Psalm 95:6-7  (NLT) Know and fully recognize with gratitude that the LORD Himself is God; it is He who has made us, not we ourselves [and we are His]. We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. (Psalm 100:3 AMP) The LORD is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. (Psalm 23:1-3 NLT) Even when darkness is all around, stay on the path and follow the light of the Shepherd, knowing He is leading you to a more abundant life. He is bringing you to a fruitful land, where healing and wholeness abound. So we Your people and the sheep of Your pasture will give thanks to You forever; to all generations we will tell of Your praise. — Psalm 7

Chosen & Called

Image
But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God’s instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you—from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted. — 1 Peter 2:9-10 (MSG) When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained; What is man that You take thought of him, and the son of man that You care for him? Yet You have made him a little lower than God, and You crown him with glory and majesty! You make him to rule over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet, (Psalm 8:3-6 NASB) God has a plan and He called us with a purpose. His Holy Spirit enables us to do all that He has called us to do. You are a chosen vessel to exhibit God's glory on the earth. May we be about our Father's business and fulfill the high calling He has for us.

What are you thinking about?

Image
You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! — Isaiah 26:3 (NLT) When our thoughts are fixated on trying to figure something out, it often leads to frustration. When our mind is constantly contemplating, “what if” scenarios, it leads to anxiety and fear. When we trust in the LORD and fix our thoughts on Him, He will keep us in perfect peace. And He will show us the way we are to go. People with their minds set on you, you keep completely whole, steady on their feet, because they keep at it and don’t quit. Depend on God and keep at it because in the LORD God you have a sure thing.  — Isaiah 26:3-4 (MSG)

He is with You

Image
“ Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the LORD your God is the One who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. ” — Deuteronomy 31:6 (NASB) Our great God is Jehovah Shammah, the One who is always with us. You are not alone. So we will never fear even if every structure of support were to crumble away. We will not fear even when the earth quakes and shakes, moving mountains and casting them into the sea. (Psalm 46:2 TPT) Yet, in spite of all this, you comfort me by your counsel; you draw me closer to you. You lead me with your secret wisdom. and following you brings me into your brightness and glory! (Psalm 73:23-24 TPT)

Come Freely

Image
Therefore let us [with privilege] approach the throne of grace [that is, the throne of God’s gracious favor] with confidence and without fear, so that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find [His amazing] grace to help in time of need [an appropriate blessing, coming just at the right moment]. — Hebrews 4:16 (AMP) Since we have a great High Priest, Jesus, the Son of God who has passed through the heavens from death into new life with God, let us hold tightly to our faith. For Jesus is not some high priest who has no sympathy for our weaknesses and flaws. He has already been tested in every way that we are tested; but He emerged victorious, without failing God. (Hebrews 4:14-15 VOICE) What a great privilege and honor! Jesus has given us access, so come freely into the throne room of God today. Present yourselves to God as a living and holy sacrifice. Receive mercy and accept His help. So now we come freely and boldly to where love is enthroned, to receive mercy’s kiss and d

Be cheerful with joyous celebration in every season of life. Let joy overflow, for you are united with the Anointed One! (Philippians 4:4 TPT) Do not let your joy be tied to temporary circumstances. (No Monday morning blues for you.) Our joy is to be based on our eternal God and the fact that He loves us and is always with us. We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. When Believers dwell together in unity our light shines even brighter. “ Rise up in splendor and be radiant, for your light has dawned, and Yahweh’s glory now streams from you! ” — Isaiah 60:1 (TPT)

He Knows

Image
Lord, you know everything there is to know about me. You perceive every movement of my heart and soul, and you understand my every thought before it even enters my mind. You are so intimately aware of me, Lord. You read my heart like an open book and you know all the words I’m about to speak before I even start a sentence! You know every step I will take before my journey even begins. You’ve gone into my future to prepare the way, and in kindness you follow behind me to spare me from the harm of my past. With your hand of love upon my life, you impart a blessing to me. This is just too wonderful, deep, and incomprehensible! Your understanding of me brings me wonder and strength. — Psalm 139:1-6 (TPT) We are never forgotten, abandoned, nor hidden from the LORD. He knows all about our hurts, struggles, and failures. His hand of love is still on you. He knows the plans He has for you are good, more glorious and will last throughout eternity. He has already gone before you and made a

He carries us in His arms, holding us close to His heart. He gently leads us. The LORD makes us lie down in green pastures. He leads us beside quiet waters. He restores our souls. Our heavenly Father guides us in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Give thanks to the LORD for His lovingkindness, and for the wonderful things He has done for the children of men!

…praise the name of the LORD, for His name alone is exalted; His glory is above earth and heaven. — Psalm 148:13 (NASB)  His name stands alone, above all others. The name of the LORD is above the doctor’s report, that bank statement, the lies and threats of the enemy, etc. His name is greater than any situation you face.  Let us praise the name of God— it’s the only Name worth praising. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we will remember and trust in the name of the LORD our God. (Psalm 20:7 AMP) Our help is in the name of the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. (Psalm 124:8 NKJV) I will praise the LORD according to His righteousness, and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High. He Guards & Guides

Image

Let me live forever in your sanctuary, safe beneath the shelter of your wings! PEACE

Image
When we arrived in Macedonia, there was no rest for us. We faced conflict from every direction, with battles on the outside and fear on the inside. — 2 Corinthians 7:5 (NLT) The Passion Translation says, … we found no relief. We were restless and exhausted; troubles met us at every turn. Outwardly I faced conflicts and inwardly emotional turmoil. (2 Corinthians 7:5)  We often face conflict from all directions, in addition to dealing with internal fears, but remember the words of Jesus: “ Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. ” (John 14:27 NASB) In 2 Corinthians 6:4 (NLT), the Apostle Paul says, “In everything we do, we show that we are true ministers of God. We patiently endure troubles and hardships and calamities of every kind.” May we be true ministers of God and patiently endure the troubles, hardships, and calamities that come our way, knowing that Jesus has overcome

Pressed but not Crushed

Image
We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. — 2 Corinthians 4:8 (NLT) We may experience pressure on all sides and various afflictions, but we do not give up. For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. (2 Corinthians 4:17-18 NLT) Lift up your eyes to the mountains; from where shall your help come? Your help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. He Comes to the Rescue

Image
We think you ought to know, dear brothers and sisters, about the trouble we went through in the province of Asia. We were crushed and overwhelmed beyond our ability to endure, and we thought we would never live through it. In fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely only on God, who raises the dead. — 2 Corinthians 1:8-9 (NLT) In every challenge, may you learn to rely on God. He raises the dead and gives power to the weak. Place your confidence in Him and know that He will deliver you. When you are overwhelmed, cry out to our heavenly Father. The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. (Psalm 34:17 NLT) And he did rescue us from mortal danger, and he will rescue us again. For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; He is also to be feared [with awe-filled reverence] above all gods. He comes as rain comes, as spring rain refreshing the ground.” — Hosea 6:3b (MSG)

Why Quit?

Image
My friends, we are not those who give up hope and so are lost; but we are of the company who live by faith and so are saved. — Hebrews 10:39 (VOICE) … we are certainly not those who are held back by fear and perish; we are among those who have faith and experience true life! — Hebrews 10:39 (TPT) Why quit? Run life’s marathon race with passion and determination, for the path has been already marked out before us. (Hebrews 12:1b (TPT) I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. (Philippians 3:14 NLT) Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge

Come & Rest

Image
“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” — Matthew 11:28-29 (NASB)  Jesus calls ALL who are weary and heavily burdened to come to Him. God shows no favoritism (Acts 10:34 NLT). He longs for us to come close to Him. The invitation to come is an open invitation to come any time and in any condition, come just as you are, just COME . If you are carrying a heavy burden today, give all your worries and cares to God because He cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7) When we put His yoke on, we join our hearts and lives to Him. We walk with Christ and and let Him work with us and through us. We let go of the world’s ways and learn His ways. When we are yoked to Jesus, our weary souls will find rest. Eternal Pleasures

Image
You reveal the path of life to me; in your presence is abundant joy; at your right hand are eternal pleasures. — Psalm 16:11 (CSB) Zephaniah 3:17 (NLT) says: “For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” Just as our heavenly Father delights in us, let us be filled with joy in His Presence, and know that He lives among us. Our culture values the freedom to pursue happiness, and we can only experience true joy as we continually abide in His Presence. It's in His Presence alone, that we are above every circumstance and situation. Amen. I said to the LORD, “You are my Lord; I have no good besides You.” (Psalm 16:2 AMP) … You direct me on the path that leads to a beautiful life. As I walk with You, the pleasures are never-ending, and I know true joy and contentment. — Psalm 16:11 (VOICE)

Empowered!

Image
I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. — Ephesians 3:16-17 (NLT) We are empowered to do all that God has called us to do, as we surrender to the work of the Holy Spirit who dwells in us. His power is perfected and shows itself most effectively in our weakness. Be rooted in God’s love and trust Him to give you the strength you need to overcome each and every challenge. Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.  — 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NLT)

Seek Godly Wisdom

Image
Yes, if you cry out for insight, and lift up your voice for understanding; If you seek skillful and godly wisdom as you would silver and search for her as you would hidden treasures; Then you will understand the [reverent] fear of the LORD [that is, worshiping Him and regarding Him as truly awesome] and discover the knowledge of God. — P roverbs 2:3-5 (AMP) But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. (James 1:5 NASB) For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will fill you with joy. Wise choices will watch over you. Understanding will keep you safe. (Proverbs 2:10-11 NLT) But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. — James 3:17 (NLT)

He’s Knocking

Image
Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. — Revelation 3:20 (NASB) Jesus is continually knocking. Pay attention and have ears to hear His call. Open the door of your heart and invite Him in. Dine with the King of kings and the Lord of lords. He wants to bring healing and wholeness to every part of our hearts and every area of our lives. May we partake of the living Bread. In John 6:48 (AMP), Jesus said: “I am the Bread of Life [the Living Bread which gives and sustains life].” Let the Living Water satisfy your soul. In John 7:37 (NLT) Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me!” “Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’” (John 7:38 NLT) You spread out a table before me, provisions in the midst of attack from my enemies; You care for all my needs, anointing my h

Praise the LORD!

Praise the LORD! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty expanse. Praise Him for His mighty deeds; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness. — Psalm 150:1-2 (NASB) Who is to declare His praises? Everything that has breath! Psalm 150:6 (MSG) says, Let every living, breathing creature praise God! Hallelujah! Are we to praise Him in good times only? No!
