Call to Him

The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. Psalm 34:17 (NLT) Just like a mother listens for the cry of her newborn baby, so the ear of the LORD is always open to hear the cry of those who belong to Him. Complete Joy and Peace

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 (NLT) As children of God, who trust in Him, we have peace and joy in the Holy Spirit (Roman 14:16). When anxious thoughts come, let the consolation of the LORD bring joy to your soul and flood your heart with peace. His Reassuring Presence

God , investigate my life; get all the facts firsthand. I'm an open book to you; even from a distance, you know what I'm thinking. You know when I leave and when I get back; I'm never out of your sight. You know everything I'm going to say before I start the first sentence. I look behind me and you're there, then up ahead and you're there, too— your reassuring presence, coming and going. This is too much, too wonderful— I can't take it all in! Psalm 139:1-6 (The Message) We are never out of God's sight. He takes what is behind us and works it all together for good. He knows your final outcome and it is to prosper you, to give you hope and a glorious future. No matter what you go through, God will take care of you. He will not abandon you. Amen. Love, Jackie

We Are Children of God

The true children of God are those who let God's Spirit lead them. The Spirit we received does not make us slaves again to fear; it makes us children of God. With that Spirit we cry out, "Father." And the Spirit himself joins with our spirits to say we are God's children. Romans 8:14-16 (NCV) God has adopted us and we belong in His family. We are children of God and joint heirs with Christ. We are to let God's Spirit shape us to become more like our heavenly Father. May we produce the fruit of the Spirit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness and self-control (Galatians 5:22). Enjoy consistent fellowship with God and you will absorb more and more of His loving nature. Love, Jackie

What Great Love!

Come back to the LORD your God, because he is kind and shows mercy. He doesn't become angry quickly and he has great love. Joel 2:13 (NCV) God is kind, patient and full of mercy. His great love for us reaches to the heavens and His faithfulness to the skies (Psalm 57:10). The LORD does not change. We can count on Him to always be loving and full of grace. There is no greater love than Jesus giving His life on the cross for His friends. Accept the wonderful gift of God's great love for you. Love, Jackie

When Happiness Dies...

The vines have become dry, and the fig trees are dried up. The pomegranate trees, the date palm trees, the apple trees - all the trees in the field have died. And the happiness of the people has died, too. LORD, I am calling to you for help, because fire has burned up the open pastures, and flames have burned all the trees in the field. Joel 1:12, 19 (NCV) The prophet Joel warns the people of Judah of the bad times to come because they have forgotten God and turned to idols. He tells everyone who lives in the land to cry out to the LORD (Joel 1:14). Beware, the things of this world will kill our happiness, if we allow it. When you have no joy or happiness, seek the face of the LORD and call to Him for help. He is faithful. He will answer. Amen. Love, Jackie

The Only One

"I, the LORD, have been your God since you were in the land of Egypt. You should have known no other God except me. I am the only one who saves." Hosea 13:4 (NCV) God has loved you since you were in the land of your captivity. He set you free and called you out. God raised you up with Christ and seated you in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:6, NIV). He is the One we need to know. The LORD forgives us and freely loves us (Hosea 14:4, NCV). The people of God live under His protection (Hosea 14:7, NCV). He answers our prayers and continually watches over us (Hosea 14:8, NCV). All our blessings come from Him (Hosea 14:8, NCV). Exceedingly Abundantly Above All

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21 (NKJ) Almighty God is able to do exceedingly abundantly more than we could ever imagine. He is able to calm your most ferocious storms and move any mountain. He can turn your pain and sorrow into overflowing joy with dancing. Our all-knowing God is capable of imparting crystal-clear knowledge, wisdom and direction in the midst of confusion. His peace overrides our worries, anxieties and fears. The power of God releases us from bondage, sin and death and gives us eternal life. To Him be the glory forever and ever! Love, Jackie

The Blazing Furnace

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego replied to the king, "O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to save us from it, and he will rescue us from your hand, O king." Daniel 3:16-17 (NIV) Shadrach, Meschach and Abednego were willing to give up their lives rather than serve or worship any god except the living God. They were thrown into the fiery furnace, but God saved them from the flames. The fire did not harm their bodies, nor was a hair singed. Their robes were not scorched, and the smell of fire was not on them. Let us worship the LORD our God alone and we will abide in the shelter of His protection and mighty power. Seek first the everlasting kingdom of God and everything else you need will be added unto you. Trust God to bring you through your fiery trials and you will not be disappointed. Amen. Love, Jackie

Our Provider

The LORD gives his people strength. The LORD blesses them with peace. Psalm 29:11 (NLT) Jehovah Jireh is our Provider. He knows what we need, even before we ask, and He makes provision for us. When we are tired, weak or weary, the LORD gives us strength to continue on. When anxious thoughts come our way, He is the source of our peace. Let us rely on the LORD in all situations. Amen. Live in Him!

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. Colossians 2:6-7 (NIV ) Let your roots grow deep into the Lord and build your lives on Him, the sure foundation. Live in Him at all times. In Him we are new creations. The old passes away and all things become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). In Jesus we have life more abundantly. We are set free, healed, and made whole. In Him we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37). Shape Your Worries into Prayers

Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry  at the center of your life.  Philippians 4:6-7 (The Message) Shape your worries into prayers and place them in the hands of Almighty God. Then shout His praises knowing that God will work it all out, in His power and according to His will. Keep your eyes on Jesus, not your difficulties and His peace will abide in your heart and mind. You're On His Mind

How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can't even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me! Psalm 139:17-18 (NLT) God has been with you since the day He formed you in your mother's womb. You have not escaped His attention. He is there to catch your tears and put them into His bottle (Psalm 56:8 NKJ). He is the lifter of your head when you are down. When you go through troubled waters and the fiery flames, He is with you. God's thoughts toward us are precious. They are of peace and not of evil (Jeremiah 29:11). "Be of Good Cheer"

"In Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the worl d." John 16:33 (NKJ) In the world we have all kinds of trials and tribulation, but Jesus said, " Be of good cheer. " Jesus has overcome the world. It's already done. In Him we have the victory. Anxiety, distress and fear will flee when we hold onto the peace Jesus gives. No matter what the world throws your way, keep the faith and know that we overcome because the One in us is greater than the one who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Love, Jackie

Let His Light Shine!

God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1:5-7 (NKJ) We have been called out of darkness and into God's wonderful light (1 Peter 2:9). We are to let our light shine before men, that they may see our good deeds and praise our Father in heaven (Matthew 5:16). As we allow the light of God to shine in our hearts and illuminate the dark world around us, we will walk in unconditional love and forgiveness. We will humble ourselves and consider the needs of others more important than our own. We will have compassion and be patient with others. Allow God to wrap you in His brilliant light and then share His light with all who come your way. Love, Jackie

Don't Keep Worrying

"Don't have so little faith! Don't always think about what you will eat or what you will drink, and don't keep worrying. All the people in the world are trying to get these things, and your Father knows you need them. But seek God's kingdom, and all the other things you need will be given to you." Luke 12:28-31 (NCV) Worrying takes up a lot of mental energy and gets you nowhere good. It just makes you stressed out. Those who are always worrying have not put their trust in God. Our Heavenly Father knows what we need and He always provides. When you are tempted to worry speak the Word of God instead and your faith will be strengthened. Amen. Love, Jesus

Worthy of the Call

As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Ephesians 4:1-2 (NIV) I encourage you to be faithful to the call you have received from God. He created you with purpose and a wonderful plan for your life. Be true to the passions and talents given to you by our Creator. As we pursue all that God has for us, may we be completely humble and gentle, and not become puffed up with pride. Instead of taking offense, let us bear with one another in unconditional love, the same way Jesus bears with us. Amen.  Love, Jackie

Fix Your Thoughts

Therefore, holy brothers who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, the apostle and high priest whom we confess. Hebrews 3:1 (NIV) Dear brothers and sisters who belong to God, fix your thoughts on Jesus. He is the Author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Jesus opens eyes that are blind, frees captives from prison and releases those who sit in darkness (Isaiah 42:7). He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). Jesus is the only Way, the truth and the life (John 14:6). Let us fix our thoughts on Jesus the Christ. Love, Jackie

Boast in the Lord

It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God - that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: "Let him who boasts boast in the Lord." 1 Corinthians 1:30-31 (NIV) Jesus Christ is our righteousness, and holiness. He is the One who redeems us. It is the grace of God that has done this. We could have never achieved this on our own. Therefore, let us not boast about how great we are. Let us boast about the greatness of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.  Love, Jackie

Fullness of Joy

You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11 (NKJ) Our wise God shows us the way to an abundant life. In His presence our joy is made complete and overflows. There is no greater joy than knowing the LORD and being known by Him. As we follow alongside the LORD we experience pleasure forevermore. Be Blessed

Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. The man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it - he will be blessed in what he does. James 1:22, 25 (NIV) James says anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. If we want to be truly blessed in this life and the eternal one, we must not only listen to the Word, we must also do what it says. Do Not Give Up

Let us not become weary in doing good for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, Galatians 6:9-10 (NIV) Don't grow weary. Take every opportunity to do good to others. Persevere through all the challenges and stand fast in the face of adversity. God is faithful to guide you through. He will impart the knowledge and wisdom you need to abound in every good work. "By My Spirit"

"Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit," says the LORD Almighty. Zechariah 4:6 (NIV) It is not by human power that we accomplish anything of value, but by the Spirit of the LORD. The LORD gives us the strength to carry out His will on earth.  By His Spirit we are healed, helped and directed. By His Spirit we are set free from the bondage of the enemy. His Holy Spirit is our Counselor and comforter. Whatever battle we face belongs to the LORD and He gives us the victory. Hallelujah! Humble yourself under His mighty hand. Give your heart to the LORD and follow Him. Praise the LORD Almighty. Love, Jackie

A Work of Love

Speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is Christ. From him the whole body, joined together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. Ephesians 3:15-16 (NIV) As members of the body of Christ, each one of us has a work to do. Let everything we do be done in love to build and support the body of Christ, the church. We are one body. The Strength of my Life

The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1 (NKJ) When we exclusively rely on our human talents and abilities we grow tired, we are stressed and we get burnt out. When we draw our strength from the LORD, we have an everlasting supply, our strength is renewed and we do not grow weary. Look to the LORD and His strength; seek His face always (Psalm 105:4). Strengthened with Power

I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. Ephesians 3:14-17 (NIV) God strengthens us with power through His Holy Spirit in us, as we believe that God is who He says He is and that He can and will do what He says in His Word. Our faith in God enables us to endure and persevere the storms that come because we know that our God is greater. When we open our hearts to Christ, He dwells in us. We must abide in Him and follow His way and not the world's way for His power to work in us. May we kneel before our heavenly Father and thank Him for His strength and power in our lives.   Love, Jackie

Great is His Faithfulness

Great is your faithfulness. The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD. Lamentations 3:23, 25-26 (NIV) Our mighty God is faithful. His faithfulness abounds and reaches to the skies. It continues through all generations. The goodness of the LORD finds those who seek Him and put their hope in Him. He is faithful to fulfill all His promises. Quietly and patiently wait for the LORD. Love, Jackie

He is Working it Out

He made the earth by his power;  he founded the world by his wisdom  and stretched out the heavens by his understanding.  When he thunders, the waters in the heavens roar;  he makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth.  He sends lightning with the rain  and brings out the wind from his storehouses. Jeremiah 51:15-16 (NIV) In light of all God's mighty acts, do you doubt his ability to work everything out as far as you're concerned? God is able and He is willing. Determine to Know Him

[For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly], and that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection... Philippians 3:10 (AMP) Determine in your heart, that nothing in this life is more important than becoming more deeply acquainted with Almighty God. He is the source of our joy, peace and wisdom. May we gain an understanding of the depths of His wonderful love day by day. Let us increase our knowledge about our heavenly Father and the mighty power that works in Him. As we do these things, we will know without a doubt that we can rest in the hands of God. Love, Jackie

No Fear

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJ) Have no fear. God is love and His perfect love drives out fear. God has given us a spirit of power, the same mighty power that raised Jesus from the dead. We have received a spirit of love. As we dwell in Him and His love we are more than conquerors. More Than Conquerors

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Romans 8:37 (NKJ) In trouble, hardships or persecution we are more than conquerors through Jesus Christ, who loves us.
