Choose the Good Part

Image
“But the Lord answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and distracted by many things; but only one thing is necessary; for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.” — Luke 10:41-42 (NASB) Mary seated herself at the Lord’s feet, and was listening to His word. But Martha was distracted with all her preparations. (See Luke 10:39-40) Don’t let this world with it’s endless demands and distractions keep you from the one necessary thing. What an honor and privilege to be able to spend time in the presence of our great King and mighty Savior. Choose the good part and spend time with Jesus, listening to His Word. Let us continually offer Him a sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving. Genuinely worship Him in spirit and in truth.

His Unfailing Love

Image
Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you. — Psalm 143:8 (NLT) I will be glad and rejoice in your unfailing love, for you have seen my troubles, and you care about the anguish of my soul. You have not handed me over to my enemies but have set me in a safe place. (Psalm 31:7-8) Because of your unfailing love, I can enter your house; I will worship at your Temple with deepest awe. Lead me in the right path, O LORD, or my enemies will conquer me. Make your way plain for me to follow. (Psalm 5:7-8) Let your unfailing love surround us, LORD, for our hope is in you alone. (Psalm 33:22 NLT) Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the LORD forever. (Psalm 23:6 NLT) Amen.

Arise!

Image
Can you not discern this new day of destiny breaking forth around you? The early signs of my purposes and plans are bursting forth. The budding vines of new life are now blooming everywhere. The fragrance of their flowers whispers, “There is change in the air.” Arise, my love, my beautiful companion, and run with me to the higher place. For now is the time to arise and come away with me.” — Song of Songs 2:13 (TPT) Arise beloved! Run to the higher place. Come away with Jesus. The LORD has good plans for you and it’s the LORD’s purpose that will prevail. (See Proverbs 19:21) He will guide you with His counsel, and lead you to a glorious destiny. (See Psalm 73:24 NLT) Therefore He says: “Awake, you who sleep, arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light.” (Ephesians 5:14 NKJV) “Rise up in splendor and be radiant, for your light has dawned, and Yahweh’s glory now streams from you! Look carefully! Darkness blankets the earth,  and thick gloom covers the nations,  but Yahweh arises

Return

Image
“Return, you backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings.”  “Indeed we do come to You, for You are the LORD our God.” — Jeremiah 3:22 (NKJV) If you have been led astray in any area of your life, the Sovereign LORD calls you to return to Him. When we repent and return to the LORD, He heals the hearts of His wayward children, and makes us whole. Therefore, since we also have such a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let’s rid ourselves of every obstacle and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let’s run with endurance the race that is set before us, (Hebrews 12:1 NASB). We look away from the natural realm and all that will distract us. We focus our attention and expectation onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. His example is this: Because his heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be his, he endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the right hand of the

Seek & Submit

Image
The LORD is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him. So it is good to wait quietly for salvation from the LORD. And it is good for people to submit at an early age to the yoke of his discipline: — Lamentations 3:25-27 (NLT) Seek the LORD and submit to His will. Jeremiah 29:13 (NLT) tells us, if we look for Him wholeheartedly, we will find Him. Whatever your age, it’s never too late to start following God. Why resist the good plans the LORD has for you? They are plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. (See Jeremiah 29:11 AMP)  God proves to be good to the man who passionately waits, to the woman who diligently seeks. It’s a good thing to quietly hope, quietly hope for help from God. — Lamentations 3:25-26 (MSG)

Sing a New Song

Image
A new song for a new day rises up in me every time I think about how he breaks through for me! Ecstatic praise pours out of my mouth until everyone hears how God has set me free. Many will see his miracles; they’ll stand in awe of God and fall in love with him! — Psalm 40:3 (TPT) He stooped down to lift me out of danger from the desolate pit I was in, out of the muddy mess I had fallen into. Now he’s lifted me up into a firm, secure place and steadied me while I walk along his ascending path. (Psalm 40:2 TPT) Sing a new song to the LORD, for he has done wonderful deeds. His right hand has won a mighty victory; his holy arm has shown his saving power! (Psalm 98:1 NLT) Sing a new song to the LORD! Let the whole earth sing to the LORD! (Psalm 96:1 NLT) It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to sing praises to the Most High. (Psalm 92:1 NLT)

Wait on the LORD

Image
Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD! — Psalm 27:14 (NKJV) Wait patiently and with great expectation that the LORD will show up and show out. Our mighty God is a miracle-working God and a faithful Promise Keeper. Psalm 37:34 (NKJV) says: Wait on the LORD, and keep His way , and He shall exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are cut off, you shall see it. So, while we wait we are to keep His way. We are to do those things He has already instructed us to do: walk in love, forgive, rejoice always, be thankful, be anxious for nothing, etc. The Passion Translation says: don’t be impatient for Yahweh to act; keep moving forward steadily in his ways… Those who wait for Yahweh’s grace will experience divine strength. They will rise up on soaring wings and fly like eagles, run their race without growing weary, and walk through life without giving up. (See Isaiah 40:31 TPT) Here’s what I’ve learned through it all: Don’t give

He Cares about You

Image
casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully]. — 1 Peter 5:7 (AMP) Always remember that our heavenly Father cares about you, and everything that concerns you. Cast your burden on the LORD, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved. (Psalm 55:22 NKJV) As for me, I will call upon God, and the LORD shall save me. Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, and He shall hear my voice. (Psalm 55:16-17 NKJV) I love the LORD, because He has heard My voice and my supplications. Because He has inclined His ear to me, therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live. (Psalm 116:1-2 NKJV) The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. (Psalm 34:17 NLT) Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Sela

He Will Show You

Image
You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. — Psalm 16:11 (NKJV) If you don’t know the path to take, the LORD is faithful. He will show you the path that leads to life and a more abundant life, full of righteousness, peace and joy. The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, and He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the LORD upholds him with His hand. (Psalm 37:23-24 NKJV) When Yahweh delights in how you live your life, he establishes your every step. (Psalm 37:23 TPT) Commit everything you do to the LORD. Trust him, and he will help you. — Psalm 37:5 (NLT)

Fasten Your Thoughts

Image
And so, dear brothers and sisters, you are now made holy, and each of you is invited to the feast of your heavenly calling. So fasten your thoughts fully onto Jesus, whom we embrace as our Apostle and King-Priest. — Hebrews 3:1 (TPT) Fasten your thoughts onto Jesus, then the lies of the enemy will not be able to get you to wander or doubt. Gaze upon Him, and join your life with His, (stay connected). We look away from the natural realm and we focus our attention and expectation onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. (Hebrews 12:2a TPT) Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces. (Psalm 34:5 NLT) Fear the LORD, you his godly people, for those who fear him will have all they need. Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the LORD will lack no good thing. (Psalm 34:9-10 NLT)

Dine with Him

Image
Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. — Revelation 3:20 (NASB) The Lord continually knocks on the door of our hearts. Hear His voice and open the door. The Lord will come in and enlighten your darkness. Jesus, the faithful and true Witness, wants to dine with you. He has prepared a table before you. It is covered with His everlasting peace. His unfailing love fills the atmosphere. There is joy in every dish, because our joy is made complete, in His Presence. He wants you to feast on His Word. He will open your eyes to see the miracle-wonders hidden in Scripture (See Psalm 119:18 TPT) Taste and see that His Word is good. All His promises have been thoroughly tested.  Taste His gentleness, kindness and compassion. See how sweet His grace and mercies are. Drink from the cup of His goodness. Eat the sweet fruit of hope and patience. You are free to partake of all that He has laid be

Faithfulness to God

Image
“ They will wage war against the Lamb (Christ), and the Lamb will triumph and conquer them, because He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those who are with Him and on His side are the called and chosen (elect) and faithful. ” — Revelation 17:14 (AMP) We are all faithful to something or someone. Some are devoted to self (their talents and abilities or their physical appearance). Others are devoted to their favorite sports team, a famous personality, or social media. Some set their affections on material goods. But the called and the chosen remain faithful to Elohim, the One true and living God. Creator of the universe and our Maker. As citizens of the Kingdom of God, let us stay faithful to the Lord of lords and the King of kings, keeping Him at the center of all we do. Troubles multiply for those who chase after other gods… (Psalm 16:4a NLT)  Our victory is in Christ. “ Look at the proud! They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked. But the righteous will live by their

Something Brand-New

Image
It is because of the LORD’s lovingkindnesses that we are not consumed, because His [tender] compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great and beyond measure is Your faithfulness. — Lamentations 3:22-23 (AMP) We tend to look for God to do things the same way He did them before, but the LORD is always doing something new. Don’t compare how He works in your life to how He is working in someone else’s, or how He worked in your life in the past to how He is working now. Reach forward to what lies ahead, and don’t turn back. Press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. (See Philippians 3:13-14 NLT) This is what God says, “Forget about what’s happened; don’t keep going over old history. Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new. It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it? There it is! I’m making a road through the desert, rivers in the badlands.” — Isaiah 43:19 (MSG)

It's Your Choice

Image
“Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! You can make this choice by loving the LORD your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life…” — Deuteronomy 30:19-20a (NLT) Every day we have a choice to make, and our choices have consequences. Our heavenly Father gives each one of us the freewill to choose between life and death and blessings and curses. Then He pleads with us to choose life for our own sakes as well as our descendants. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world… (Romans 12:2a NT) Instead, make a firm commitment to follow Yahweh. “Tell all the people, ‘This is what the LORD says: Take your choice of life or death! — Jeremiah 21:8 (NLT)

Stand Firm

Image
Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we will remember and trust in the name of the LORD our God. — Psalm 20:7 (AMP) As the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the LORD.” (2 Corinthians 10:17 NLT) For “Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.” (Romans 10:13 NLT) Don’t put your confidence in weapons, nor rely on human strength. Trust Yahweh, Who fights our battles and gives us victory. Now I know that the LORD saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand. (Psalm 20:6 AMP) Our enemy will not prevail. No weapon that is formed against you will succeed. (Isaiah 54:17a NASB) God sends supernatural help from His sanctuary. The LORD of Heaven’s Armies is his name! (See Jeremiah 10:16 NLT) Rise up and stand firm!

Still have Hope

Image
Come back to the place of safety, all you prisoners who still have hope! I promise this very day that I will repay two blessings for each of your troubles. — Zechariah 9:12 (NLT) When Job prayed for his friends, the LORD restored his fortunes. In fact, the LORD gave him twice as much as before! (Job 42:10 NLT) Yahweh is a God of restoration. So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the LORD! (Psalm 31:24 NLT) No matter what challenges you face today, keep your hope in El Elyon, the God Most High, alive. Nothing is too difficult for Him. I will be glad and rejoice in your unfailing love, for you have seen my troubles, and you care about the anguish of my soul. (Psalm 31:7 NLT) …I am trusting you, O LORD, saying, “You are my God!” My future is in your hands. (Psalm 31:14-15 NLT) Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you. (Psalm 25:5 NLT)

He Makes a Way

Image
I am doing something brand new, something unheard of. Even now it sprouts and grows and matures. Don’t you perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and open up flowing streams in the desert. — Isaiah 43:19 (TPT) Whether you are wandering in the wilderness of feeling deserted and alone in a hot dry desert, the LORD is with you and He will make a way for you. The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.” (Psalm 32:8 NLT) Yahweh is the one who makes a way in the sea, a pathway in the mighty waters. — Isaiah 43:16 (TPT)

"I AM"

Image
God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM”; and He said, “Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” — Exodus 3:14 (NASB) The LORD is the only true God. He is the living God and the everlasting King! (See Jeremiah 10:10 NLT) He is all that we need. The majestic “I AM” is our source and our Creator. In times of trouble, call upon the great “I AM.” Instead of depending on the government, rely on Elohim, the all-powerful Creator of the universe. Look to “I AM” for the answers you seek. When we need a physician, He is our Healer. God is our peace. Let His everlasting peace rule in your mind and in your heart. Trust Him to fulfill every promise He has made.  Before you knew God or even acknowledged Him, He loved you and there is nothing that can separate you from His love. And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. (Deuteronomy 6:5 NASB) Amen.

He Remains

Image
My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever. — Psalm 73:26 (NLT) In 2 Corinthians 6:4-6 (NLT) the Apostle Paul says, “In everything we do, we show that we are true ministers of God. We patiently endure troubles and hardships and calamities of every kind. We have been beaten, been put in prison, faced angry mobs, worked to exhaustion, endured sleepless nights, and gone without food. We prove ourselves by our purity, our understanding, our patience, our kindness, by the Holy Spirit within us, and by our sincere love.” No matter what the inner struggle or the external circumstances of your life may be, God remains the strength of your heart. Draw your strength from Him. May we be true ambassadors for the Kingdom of God, by walking in purity (free from the contamination of this world), and understanding. Let us be patient, kind and have genuine love for one another.

He Stands with You

Image
“But the LORD stands beside me like a great warrior. Before him my persecutors will stumble. They cannot defeat me. They will fail and be thoroughly humiliated. Their dishonor will never be forgotten.” — Jeremiah 20:11 (NLT) The LORD stands with us and gives us victory over our enemies. In 2 Timothy 4:16-17 (NASB), the Apostle Paul says: “At my first defense no one supported me, but all deserted me; may it not be counted against them. But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me…” People may desert you but know that our great God is faithful. He stands with you and gives you strength.

Trust in the LORD

Image
“But blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.” — Jeremiah 17:7-8 (NLT) Those who trust in the LORD will not be anxious or fearful when circumstances appear dismal, because their confidence is in the LORD. Trust in and rely on the LORD, at all times. Keep your hope in Him alive and active. Let your roots reach down deep into the fountain of living water, and draw nourishment from Him. Then you will continually bear fruit for the Kingdom of God.

Now is the Time

Image
“But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way. For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.” — John 4:23-24 (NLT) Now is the time to worship Abba Father. True worship comes from the heart, not out of a sense of obligation. Let us come to Yahweh with an open heart and no pretense. “God is a Spirit, and he longs to have sincere worshipers who adore him in the realm of the Spirit and in truth.” (See John 4:24 TPT) Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation. (Psalm 100:4-5 NLT) Give glory to the LORD your God before it is too late. (See Jeremiah 13:16 NLT)

He’s Working

Image
For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him. — Philippians 2:13 (NLT) In Luke 6:37 (NLT), Jesus said, “Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn others, or it will all come back against you. Forgive others, and you will be forgiven.” Forgiveness is so important that Jesus said, in Mark 11:25 (NLT), “…when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.” He also said, “…if you are presenting your offering at the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your offering there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and present your offering.” (Matthew 5:23-24 NASB)  The Holy Spirit Who dwells in believers, empowers us to do what pleases our heavenly Father, so let us always forgive and seek reconciliation. Love prospers when a fault is forgiven, but dwelling on it separates

Our Dwelling Place

Image
For you have made the LORD, my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place. — Psalm 91:9 (NASB) Instead of Sunday visitations, make the Most High God your dwelling place. Abide in Him at all times. Psalm 90:1 (AMP) says, Lord, You have been our dwelling place [our refuge, our sanctuary, our stability] in all generations. Before the mountains were born, before you gave birth to the earth and the world, from beginning to end, you are God. (Psalm 90:2 NLT) “The eternal God is your refuge and dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms; He drove out the enemy from before you...” (Deuteronomy 33:12 AMP) How lovely are Your dwelling places, O LORD of hosts! My soul longed and even yearned for the courts of the LORD; My heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God. — Psalm 84:1-2 (NASB)

Remember the LORD

Image
“I have spread out My hands all the day long to a rebellious and stubborn people, who walk in the way that is not good, [following] after their own thoughts and intentions,” — Isaiah 65:2 (AMP) We walk a crooked path when we turn away from God’s will to follow our own selfish, fleshly desires. Voices are heard high on the windswept mountains, the weeping and pleading of Israel’s people. For they have chosen crooked paths and have forgotten the LORD their God. (Jeremiah 3:21 NLT) Remember the LORD, Who knew you before He formed you in your mother's womb. His plans for you are good. “My wayward children,” says the LORD, “come back to me, and I will heal your wayward hearts.”  (Jeremiah 3:22a NLT) The arms of the LORD are open wide, waiting to embrace His children who have strayed away. May the answer of our hearts be the same as His people in Jeremiah 3:22b (NLT): “Yes, we’re coming,” the people reply, “for you are the LORD our God.

Find Strength

Image
Some find their strength in their weapons and wisdom, but my miracle-deliverance can never be won by men. Our boast is in Yahweh our God, who makes us strong and gives us victory! — Psalm 20:7 (TPT) How enriched are they who find their strength in the Lord; within their hearts are the highways of holiness! Even when their paths wind through the dark valley of tears, they dig deep to find a pleasant pool where others find only pain. He gives to them a brook of blessing filled from the rain of an outpouring. They grow stronger and stronger with every step forward, and the God of all gods will appear before them in Zion. (Psalm 84:5-7 TPT) Find your strength in the Lord and keep going forward, taking each step in faith.

The Way

Image
Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” — John 14:6 (NLT) Jesus is the only way to the Father, follow Him. He is the way to eternal life in God’s Presence and a more abundant life here on earth. Jesus is the truth. John 8:32 says, “ you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free .” It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1 NASB) May we stay in union with Jesus and remain faithful to His teachings. God always makes his grace visible in Christ, who includes us as partners of his endless triumph.Through our yielded lives he spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere we go. — 2 Corinthians 2:14 (TPT)

Pray

Image
Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. — James 5:16 (NLT) Listen, Yahweh, to my passionate prayer! Can’t you hear my groaning? Don’t you hear how I’m crying out to you? My King and my God, consider my every word, for I am calling out to you. At each and every sunrise you will hear my voice as I prepare my sacrifice of prayer to you. Every morning I lay out the pieces of my life on the altar and wait for your fire to fall upon my heart. (Psalm 5:1-3 TPT) Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere. — Ephesians 6:18 (NLT)

Live in God

Image
...we have seen with our own eyes and now testify that the Father sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. All who declare that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God. — 1 John 4:14-15 (NLT) In Matthew 16:15, Jesus asked Simon Peter, “ But what about you? ” he asked. “ Who do you say I am? ” Who do you say Jesus is? Do you acknowledge and accept Him as the Messiah, the Son of the living God? (See Matthew 16:16) He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds. (Titus 2:14 NLT) And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. (Colossians 2:6-7 NLT)

Called Out

Image
But you are God’s chosen treasure—priests who are kings, a spiritual “nation” set apart as God’s devoted ones. He called you out of darkness to experience his marvelous light, and now he claims you as his very own. He did this so that you would broadcast his glorious wonders throughout the world. — 1 Peter 2:9 (TPT) Once your life was full of sin’s darkness, but now you have the very light of our Lord shining through you because of your union with him. Your mission is to live as children flooded with his revelation-light! And the supernatural fruits of his light will be seen in you—goodness, righteousness, and truth. (Ephesians 5:8-9 TPT) For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus. (2 Timothy 1:9 NLT) We have been called out of darkness into a Kingdom of light, destiny, and purpose. The Kingdom of God is about living a life of righ

Peace

Image
“Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.]” — John 14:27 (AMP) Don’t look to the constantly changing things of this world to  give you everlasting peace. They cannot. Jehovah-Shalom (YHWH-Shalom), the Lord is Peace. As believers, we have the Spirit of Elohim dwelling inside of us, and He is peace. Yeshua is called, Prince of Peace. Let His perfect peace fill your mind and your heart, every moment of the day. Let it rule your entire being. Let the peace of Christ [the inner calm of one who walks daily with Him] be the controlling factor in your hearts [deciding and settling questions that arise]. To this peace indeed you were called as members in one body [of believers]. And be thankful [to God always]. — Colossians 3:15 (AMP)
