A Spirit of Love

As Jesus taught His disciples about the signs of end times, He said: “ Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. ” — Matthew 24:12 (NLT) Needless to say, the signs of end times are upon us, but we are here for such a time as this. I implore you —don’t let your love for God or your love for people grow cold. According to 2 Timothy 1:7 (NLT) God gave us a spirit of love... Let us be like our heavenly Father. What marvelous love the Father has extended to us! (1 John 3:1 MSG) He keeps His covenant and shows unfailing love to all who walk before Him in wholehearted devotion. (1 Kings 8:23) First Peter 1:22 instructs the brethren to love one another fervently with a pure heart. The Message Bible says to love one another as if your lives depended on it. Keep the embers of your love on fire by abiding in the Presence of Almighty God, for love never fails. (1 Corinthians 13:8). Is anyone crying for help? God is listening, ready to rescue you. Our heavenly Father is faithful. He has not forgotten about you and He will never abandon you. He hears your cry and comes to your rescue. The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. (Psalm 34:17 NLT) The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and the One who rescues me; My God, my rock and strength in whom I trust and take refuge; My shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower—my stronghold. — Psalm 18:2 (AMP)

Great is His Goodness

How great is your goodness that you have stored up for those who fear you and accomplished in the sight of everyone for those who take refuge in you. You hide them in the protection of your presence; you conceal them in a shelter from human schemes, from quarrelsome tongues.  — Psalm 31:19-20 (CSB) Whatever you go through today, remember, the LORD is with you, as your constant Companion. And He always causes us to triumph in Christ. What a stack of blessing you have piled up for those who worship you, ready and waiting for all who run to you to escape an unkind world. Live in the Light

And the dragon was angry at the woman and declared war against the rest of her children—all who keep God’s commandments and maintain their testimony for Jesus. — Revelation 12:17 (NLT) Realize we are in a war. (Excerpt from The Book of Mysteries , Day 45 ) God’s Word is true. And the darkness will always war against the light. And the light must always war against the darkness. In the end, there is no neutrality. You either let the darkness overcome you, or you overcome the darkness. There is no middle ground. In John 12:35-36 (NLT), Jesus said, “My light will shine for you just a little longer. Walk in the light while you can, so the darkness will not overtake you. Those who walk in the darkness cannot see where they are going. Put your trust in the light while there is still time; then you will become children of the light.” For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light!  — Ephesians 5:8 (NLT)

Come Worship the Lord

Ascribe to the LORD the glory and honor due His name; Bring an offering [of thanksgiving], and come before Him; Worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness. — 1 Chronicles 16:29 (AMP) Worship the King of Kings and Lord of lords. Worship Him with all your heart, mind and soul. He is our risen Savior and mighty Redeemer. He redeems our lives from destruction (Psalm 103:4). He is the Messiah, and Master of our lives. We were bought with a price, the precious blood of Jesus. (Acts 20:28, 1 Corinthians 6:20) Jesus is our strong foundation and the Solid Rock on which we can stand. He is our refuge and strong fortress where we can hide in times of trouble. He is our deliverer. He delivers us from our enemies. Christ is the chief Cornerstone. He who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame. (1 Peter 2:6) Let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. (Hebrews 13:15) He is worthy of all honor, praise and glory.

Complete the Course

But I consider my life of no value to myself; my purpose is to finish my course and the ministry I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of God’s grace. — Acts 20:24 (CSB) Our purpose is to complete the course, that we received from our Lord and Savior. The primary assignment the Master Jesus gave Believers of letting everyone we meet know all about this incredibly extravagant generosity of God. May we continually do the work, with joy, of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God. Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. Rejoice in Righteousness

God’s Perfect Plan

And in the midst of everything be always giving thanks, for this is God’s perfect plan for you in Christ Jesus. — 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (TPT) Whatever you are in the midst of today, remember to be always giving thanks to God. If circumstances are not ideal, thank God that He is bringing you through it. The situation is temporary. When you focus on lack, it makes your world seem small. Being thankful for what God has already provided helps to acknowledge our Source: our heavenly Father and it also allows room for multiple blessings to flow into our lives. Being thankful creates an atmosphere for miracles to take place. In Matthew 14, a multitude of people were with Jesus, in a deserted place and He instructed the disciples to feed them. From the Inside Out

Do not be shaped by this world; instead be changed within by a new way of thinking. Then you will be able to decide what God wants for you; you will know what is good and pleasing to him and what is perfect. — Romans 12:2 (NCV) So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. The Helper

But the Helper will teach you everything and will cause you to remember all that I told you. This Helper is the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my name. — John 14:26 (NCV) Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? (1 Corinthians 6:19) We have this treasure from God, but we are like clay jars that hold the treasure. This shows that the great power is from God, not from us. (2 Corinthians 4:7 NCV) We ourselves are like fragile clay jars with the Holy Spirit dwelling within us, in power and glory. What an awesome treasure! The love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us (Romans 5:5 NKJV) The Holy Spirit is our Helper, Comforter, and Counselor. May we allow the Holy Spirit to fill our entire being, and let Him work in us and through us, to bring about the perfect will of the Father in our lives.

Be Calm & Trust

This is what the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, says: “If you come back to me and trust me, you will be saved. If you will be calm and trust me, you will be strong. Fresh Start

God put the world square with himself through the Messiah, giving the world a fresh start by offering forgiveness of sins. God has given us the task of telling everyone what he is doing. We’re Christ’s representatives. God uses us to persuade men and women to drop their differences and enter into God’s work of making things right between them. — 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 (MSG) In Jesus, we have a fresh start, not just for ourselves, we are to invite others to journey with Jesus and live in the light. The night [this present evil age] is almost gone and the day [of Christ’s return] is almost here. So let us fling away the works of darkness and put on the [full] armor of light. (Romans 13:12 AMP) May the children of God drop their differences and enter into God’s work, being representatives of Christ on earth. Let us light up the darkness of this world with the light of God’s love, grace, peace and truth.

Rely on God

Because of the extravagance of those revelations, and so I wouldn’t get a big head, I was given the gift of a handicap to keep me in constant touch with my limitations. Satan’s angel did his best to get me down; what he in fact did was push me to my knees. No danger then of walking around high and mighty! — 2 Corinthians 12:7 (MSG) The challenges we face will keep us in constant touch with our limitations, so that we may learn not to rely on ourselves but on our mighty God. Wait on the Lord

For from days of old no one has heard, nor has ear perceived, nor has the eye seen a God besides You, Who works and acts in behalf of the one who [gladly] waits for Him. — Isaiah 64:4 (AMP) Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. (Psalm 37:7) Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord! (Psalm 27:14) Our walk with the Lord is not a do-it-yourself project. Let us wait patiently, with gladness of heart and full of confidence that our God will work everything together for good. My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him. — Psalm 62:5 (NKJV)

Abide in Love

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. — 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (NLT) The Passion Translation says that love is gentle and consistently kind to all. (1 Corinthians 13:4 TPT) God’s perfect love for us is constant. May we continually walk in love, with all people. Love is a safe place of shelter, for it never stops believing the best for others. (1 Corinthians 13:7 TPT) We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. — 1 John 4:16 (NASB)

Trust Our Everlasting God

“ Trust [confidently] in the LORD forever [He is your fortress, your shield, your banner], for the LORD God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages]. ” — Isaiah 26:4 (AMP) Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever You had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God. (Psalm 90:2 NKJV) The things of this world will come and go, they are temporary, but we can trust our great God because He is here for all time. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. (Revelation 1:8) His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey Him. Bless the Most High and praise and honor Him who lives forever. Your kingdom will go on and on, and you will rule forever. The LORD will keep all his promises; he is loyal to all he has made . — Psalm 145:13 (NCV)

A Good Word

Choose the Narrow Road

“You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. This is what the LORD says your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is good for you and leads you along the paths you should follow.” (Isaiah 48:17) May we stay on the path the LORD shows us and press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. He Gives Life

Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread from heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”  — John 6:32-33 (NKJV) And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.”  (John 6:35) Jesus is the bread of life, who gives life to the world. He is the only One who can satisfy our hunger. That emptiness inside our hearts, hungers for His presence, and nothing else will do. In Matthew 6:11, Jesus taught His disciples to pray: “Give us this day our daily bread” because He is the One who sustains our lives, day by day. In order to live full and satisfying lives, we must partake of Him everyday. So let us respond to Jesus, the same way His disciples did: They said to Him, “ Lord, give us this bread always .” (John 6:34)

Do you have a need?

But seek God’s kingdom, and all your other needs will be met as well. — Luke 12:31 (NCV) Do you have a need? Strive for and actively seek the Kingdom of God above all else and He will give you everything you need. For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. (Romans 14:17 NKJV) May we do what is right. When in doubt about what is right, choose love, life, and truth. Pursue peace with all people and experience a fullness of joy in the presence of God, that is not moved by circumstances. For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly. (Psalm 84:11 NKJV)

He will Carry your Load

Pile your troubles on God’s shoulders— he’ll carry your load, he’ll help you out. He’ll never let good people topple into ruin. — Psalm 55:22 (MSG) We have a God who wants to bear our burdens. He tells us to cast all our cares on Him, because He cares for us. (1 Peter 5:7) No need to wear yourself out, being overburdened. No need to whine and complain about them. Don't compare them with the burden of another. Just give them to the LORD. Let go and let God work. Trust Him. Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, the God who is our salvation. Draw Near

Our Cup of Blessing

LORD, you alone are my inheritance, my cup of blessing. You guard all that is mine. — Psalm 16:5 (NLT) My cup overflows with blessings. — Psalm 23:5 (NLT) When we choose God first and only and realize He is all we need, our cups overflow with blessings. Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. (1 Timothy 6:6-7 NKJV) Companions as we are in this work with you, we beg you, please don’t squander one bit of this marvelous life God has given us. (2 Corinthians 6:1 MSG) But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. (1 Timothy 6:11 NKJV) Let us count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus our Lord... and count them but rubbish so that we may gain Christ (Philippians 3:8)

He Sticks Up for Us

If God didn’t hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending his own Son, is there anything else he wouldn’t gladly and freely do for us?   The One who died for us—who was raised to life for us!—is in the presence of God at this very moment sticking up for us. — Romans 8:32, 34 (MSG) What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31 NKJV) Don't let the enemy bully you. He only wants to steal, kill and destroy, but we have Jesus constantly interceding on our behalf.  Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ’s love for us? There is no way! Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the worst sins listed in Scripture: ( Romans 8:35 MSG ). Come to LIFE!

“I will put My Spirit in you and you will come to life, and I will place you in your own land. Then you will know that I the LORD have spoken, and fulfilled it,” says the LORD.’”   — Ezekiel 37:12-14 (AMP)  Today, as believers we have the Spirit of the LORD living inside of us. Come to LIFE! The same power that raised Jesus from death to life dwells in us. We are not pitiful, but full of power and life. When we come to Jesus, He gives us a rich and satisfying life (John 10:10b NLT). We have overcome them, because He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world. (1 John 4:4) For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God. (1 John 5:4-5 NLT) “ For with God nothing will be impossible .” (Luke 1:37 NKJV)

Diligently Seek Him

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. — Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV) If you seek the LORD, He will be found by you. When you call upon Him, He will answer. A diligent search is not a one time act, it happens moment by moment on a daily basis. Once we have found Him, there is a continual, relentless seeking to know His character, His ways and His will. A diligent seeker has a daily desire to stay in constant communion with Him (through His Word, prayer and praise). A diligent seeker always hungers for more of God and His Kingdom. Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. (Isaiah 55:6) As it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” (1 Corinthians 2:9 NKJV)

No Escape

I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence! If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there. If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me. — Psalm 139:7-10 (NLT) Why try to escape the Presence of the LORD? As Jonah learned when he tried to run away from God, there is no place we can go to flee from His Presence. He knows where we go and where we lie down. He knows everything we do. (Psalm 139:3) He is intimately acquainted with all our ways. (Psalm 139:3b AMP). His Presence is with us to lead us and guide us. His Holy Spirit is our Helper (John 14:26). The Spirit of God is our strength and support. He empowers us to do all that we are called to do. Instead of running away from God, let us be drawn by His love for us, into a deeper, more intimate relationship with Him. Worship Him and be filled with His Spirit. Let Him occup

Live Well & Healed

But he took our suffering on him and felt our pain for us. We saw his suffering and thought God was punishing him.  But he was wounded for the wrong we did; he was crushed for the evil we did. The punishment, which made us well, was given to him, and we are healed because of his wounds. — Isaiah 53:4-5 (NCV) Jesus carried our pains. He was crushed for our sins and wrongdoing. He was pierced for our rebellion. Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. (Galatians 3:13a NLT) There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. (Romans 8:1 NKJV) We have been rescued from sin and death. Let us walk according to the Spirit and live well and healed.
