Our Shepherd

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. — Psalm 23:1-2 (NASB) Jehovah-Ro’i (YHWH-Rohi), means the LORD is our Shepherd. He leads us in love. He renews our strength. He guides us in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. (See Psalm 23:3) He continually watches over us and takes care of us. He corrects us with kindness, for our own good. We all are like sheep, at some point we have gone astray. Let us always stay close to the Shepherd. Yeshua is the Good Shepherd. He knows His sheep and they know Him. They listen to His voice, and answer when He calls. The Good Shepherd sacrifices His life for the sheep. What are we willing to sacrifice for our mighty God and His Kingdom? And He will arise and shepherd His flock in the strength of the LORD, In the majesty of the name of the LORD His God. And they will remain, because at that time He will be great to the ends of the earth. This One will be our peace. — M

What is His Name?

Who has ascended into heaven, or descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son’s name, If you know? — Proverbs 30:4 (NKJV) Every name of God reveals an aspect of Who He is. In Genesis, He is Elohim, Creator. He created the whole wide world and knit each one of us together in the womb of our mothers. We are fearfully and wonderfully made. El is Almighty God, the strong One. He is YAHWEH (Jehovah). El Elohe Yisrael is the Holy One of Israel, the only true God. He is El Elyon, the God Most High, higher than any mountain that stands before you. Greater than any challenge you face. He is El Olam, the eternal and everlasting God. He is the Beginning and the End. Adonai is our Master and majestic Lord, owner of our lives, with Supreme authority. He is the great I AM. And His Son’s name is YESHUA (Jesus). He is Immanuel, God With Us. YESHUA is the name above all nam

Strength

My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever. — Psalm 73:26 (NLT) Yahweh arms us with strength for the battle. God is awesome in his sanctuary. The God of Israel gives power and strength to his people. Praise be to God! (Psalm 68:35 NLT) The LORD blesses His people with peace. (See Psalm 29:11 NLT) Search for the LORD and for his strength; continually seek him. (Psalm 105:4 NLT) …in my distress I cried out to you, the delivering God, and from your temple-throne you heard my troubled cry, and my sobs went right into your heart. God, all at once you turned on a floodlight for me! You are the revelation-light in my darkness, and in your brightness I can see the path ahead. (Psalm18:6, 28 TPT)

Go!

“Sir,” Gideon replied, “if the LORD is with us, why has all this happened to us? And where are all the miracles our ancestors told us about? Didn’t they say, ‘The LORD brought us up out of Egypt’? But now the LORD has abandoned us and handed us over to the Midianites.” Then the LORD turned to him and said, “Go with the strength you have, and rescue Israel from the Midianites. I am sending you!” — Judges 6:13-14 (NLT) Never believe that the LORD has abandoned you. He is with you forever. God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. Take Refuge

O taste and see that the LORD [our God] is good; How blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who takes refuge in Him. — Psalm 34:8 (AMP) No matter what happens in your life, always remember that the LORD is good. Do not lean on your own understanding. “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the LORD. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:8-9 NLT) But as for me, it is good for me to draw near to God; I have made the Lord God my refuge and placed my trust in Him, that I may tell of all Your works. (Psalm 73:28 AMP) Let me hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, for I trust in You. Teach me the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul to You. Teach me to do Your will [so that I may please You], for You are my God; Let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground.  — Psalm 143:8, 10 (AMP)

There is No Other

Yahweh says, “You are my witnesses, my chosen servants. I chose you in order that you would know me intimately, believe me always, and fully understand that I am the only God. There was no god before me, and there will be no other god after me. I, only I, am Yahweh, and there is no Savior-God but me.” — Isaiah 43:10-11 (TPT) “From eternity to eternity I am God. No one can snatch anyone out of my hand. No one can undo what I have done.” (Isaiah 43:13 NLT) “I am the LORD; that is my name! I will not give my glory to anyone else, nor share my praise with carved idols.” (Isaiah 42:8 NLT) Praise and worship the LORD. Anything or anyone we put before God is an idol. It could be sports, a spouse, children, money, fame, T.V., etc. If we serve our fleshly desires, instead of God, we are serving the idol of selfishness. Understand that He alone is God. He chose you that you would know Him intimately and always believe Him. May we set our affections on Him and utilize our time, talents and treasu

He Sees You

Thereafter, Hagar used another name to refer to the LORD, who had spoken to her. She said, “You are the God who sees me.” She also said, “Have I truly seen the One who sees me?” — Genesis 16:13 (NLT) When you don’t know what to do, call upon the LORD. He is El Roi, the God Who sees you. He knows you better than you know yourself. He knows all of your struggles, hurt and pain. May you truly see Him and open your ears to hear His voice today. In Ezekiel 48:35, He is Yahweh Shammah (the LORD is There). He is our ever-present God, Who is with you wherever you go. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Find comfort and strength in His Presence, today, tomorrow and forever. I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence! If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there. If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me. — Psalm 139:7-10 (NLT)

Believe & Build

Therefore, this is what the Sovereign LORD says: “Look! I am placing a foundation stone in Jerusalem, a firm and tested stone. It is a precious cornerstone that is safe to build on. Whoever believes need never be shaken.”  — Isaiah 28:16 (NLT) The Foundation Stone is Christ, fully tested and proven to be faithful and secure. …no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have—Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 3:11 NLT) In John 14:1 (NASB), Jesus says, “Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me…” Believe in Him and build your lives up, on the firm foundation. “ Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock.” — Luke 6:47-48 (NKJV)

Look to the LORD

Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help and rely on horses, and trust in chariots because they are many and in horsemen because they are very strong, but they do not look to the Holy One of Israel, nor seek the LORD! — Isaiah 31:1 (NASB) Instead of relying on the government, or human assistance of any kind, look to the Holy One of Israel, and seek His counsel. True help comes only from the LORD, our Creator. Do not rely on your own understanding, but get wisdom and get understanding from the living Word of God.   We can never look to men for help; no matter who they are, they can’t save us, for even our great leaders fail and fall. (Psalm 146:3 TPT) I will lift up my eyes to the hills— from whence comes my help? My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. (Psalm 121:1-2 NKJV) With all your heart, rely on Him to guard you and to guide you.

Come Back!

Lord Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel, says: “Come back to me! By returning and resting in me you will be saved. In quietness and trust you will be made strong.” But you refused. — Isaiah 30:15 (TPT) So the LORD must wait for you to come to him so he can show you his love and compassion. For the LORD is a faithful God. Blessed are those who wait for his help. (Isaiah 30:18 NLT) Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left. (Isaiah 30:21 NLT) …for those who are righteous, the way is not steep and rough. You are a God who does what is right, and you smooth out the path ahead of them. LORD, we show our trust in you by obeying your laws; our heart’s desire is to glorify your name. — Isaiah 26:7-8 (NLT)

Return

They look everywhere except to the Most High. They are as useless as a crooked bow. Their leaders will be killed by their enemies because of their insolence toward me. Then the people of Egypt will laugh at them. — Hosea 7:16 (NLT) Just like the times of Hosea, today, people look everywhere except to the Most High God. Return to the LORD, with your whole heart. “Return, O Israel, to the LORD your God, for your sins have brought you down. Bring your confessions, and return to the LORD. Say to him, “Forgive all our sins and graciously receive us, so that we may offer you our praises.” (Hosea 14:1-2) The LORD says, “Then I will heal you of your faithlessness; my love will know no bounds, for my anger will be gone forever. Know Him

“I want you to show love, not offer sacrifices. I want you to know me more than I want burnt offerings.” — Hosea 6:6 (NLT) Let us show Elohim, our Creator, the same kind of unconditional and unfailing love that He lavishes upon us, every moment of every day. And this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. (See 1 John 5:3 NASB) Through His wonderful Word, He reveals His will.  In Hosea 4:6 (NLT), the LORD says My people are being destroyed because they don’t know Me. “Oh, that we might know the LORD! Don't just know what others say about Him. Enjoy a close and personal, one-on-one relationship with our heavenly Father. Let us press on to know him. He will respond to us as surely as the arrival of dawn or the coming of rains in early spring.” (Hosea 6:3 NLT)

Real Love

This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. — 1 John 4:10-11 (NLT) God's love is real and it lasts forever. Nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. (See Romans 8:38) We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world. (1 John 4:16-17 NLT) Live in God and let Him perfect your love.

Follow His Lead

“…I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions. In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on servants—men and women alike.” — Joel 2:28-29 (NLT) What an honor and extreme privilege that as believers, we now have the Spirit of the living God dwelling inside of us. For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons and daughters of God. (Romans 8:14 NASB) And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death. (Romans 8:2 NLT) …letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. (Romans 8:6 NLT) Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. (Galatians 5:25 NLT) Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing. — Psalm 143:

Release

Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken. — Psalm 55:22 (NASB) Do you find it difficult to give your burdens to the LORD? If so, do you think you are more capable of taking care of yourself, than the God who created you? This is the very same mighty God who spoke and created the universe and all that it contains. It is the LORD Who knows what you are going to say before you speak a word. This wonderful God of ours, has all your days written in His book. His thoughts of you outnumber the grains of sand, on every shore! And through Christ, He has already gained the victory for us. Burdens in your hands are a difficult thing. Our burdens in the hands of the LORD are nothing to Him. Choose to trust God at all times. Cast your burdens upon the LORD and leave them there. Let’s release and refuse to take them back.

Complete

For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority. — Colossians 2:9-10 (NLT) It is our union with Christ that completes us. In Him, nothing is missing and nothing is broken. He fulfills every need, and brings healing and wholeness. The Passion Translation says we are completely filled with God as Christ’s fullness overflows within us. (Colossians 2:10) Keep your hearts, minds, and ears open to God and He will fill you. The Message Bible says: Everything of God gets expressed in him (Christ), so you can see and hear him clearly. You don’t need a telescope, a microscope, or a horoscope to realize the fullness of Christ, and the emptiness of the universe without him. When you come to him, that fullness comes together for you, too. His power extends over everything. (Colossians 2:9-10) Come to Him today.

God of Restoration

Don’t be afraid, O land. Be glad now and rejoice, for the LORD has done great things. The LORD says, “I will give you back what you lost to the swarming locusts, the hopping locusts, the stripping locusts, and the cutting locusts. It was I who sent this great destroying army against you. — Joel 2:21, 25 (NLT) The LORD is a God of restoration. He will turn your mourning into dancing. Psalm 71:20-21 (NLT) says, You have allowed me to suffer much hardship, but you will restore me to life again and lift me up from the depths of the earth. You will restore me to even greater honor and comfort me once again. We give great honor to those who endure under suffering. For instance, you know about Job, a man of great endurance. You can see how the Lord was kind to him at the end, for the Lord is full of tenderness and mercy. (James 5:11) When Job prayed for his friends, the LORD restored his fortunes. Rejoice in His Presence

This is the day which the LORD has made; Let’s rejoice and be glad in it. — Psalm 118:24 (NASB) Come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come to him with thanksgiving. Let us sing psalms of praise to him. For the LORD is a great God, a great King above all gods.(Psalm 95:1-3 NLT) …I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me. I will sing to the LORD because he is good to me. (Psalm 13:5-6 NLT) … let the godly rejoice. Let them be glad in God’s presence. Let them be filled with joy. Sing praises to God and to his name! Sing loud praises to him who rides the clouds. His name is the LORD— rejoice in his presence! — Psalm 68:3-4 (NLT)

He is With You

Now, this is what Yahweh says: “Listen, Jacob, to the One who created you, Israel, to the one who shaped who you are. Do not fear, for I, your Kinsman-Redeemer, will rescue you. I have called you by name, and you are mine. When you pass through the deep, stormy sea, you can count on me to be there with you. When you pass through raging rivers, you will not drown. When you walk through persecution like fiery flames, you will not be burned; the flames will not harm you, for I am your Savior, Yahweh, your mighty God, the Holy One of Israel!”  — Isaiah 43:1-3a (TPT) If you are going through deep waters right now, remember Jesus, our Kinsman-Redeemer, is with you and He will rescue you. When you experience rivers of difficulty, He will hold you steady and show you the way through. 

Help in Every Situation

I drew you to myself from the ends of the earth and called you from its farthest corner. I say to you: ‘You are my servant; I have chosen you. I have not rejected you! Do not yield to fear, for I am always near. Never turn your gaze from me, for I am your faithful God. I will infuse you with my strength and help you in every situation. I will hold you firmly with my victorious right hand.’ — Isaiah 41:9-10 (TPT) Have no fear, for our mighty God is always near. Cast down any anxious thoughts. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and not your circumstances. He alone is my safe place; his wraparound presence always protects me. For he is my champion defender; there’s no risk of failure with God. So why would I let worry paralyze me, even when troubles multiply around me? (Psalm 62:2 TPT) Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken. (Psalm 62:5-6 NLT)

Nothing Too Difficult

‘Oh, Lord God! Behold, You Yourself have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for You, — Jeremiah 32:17 (NASB) For the LORD is the one who shaped the mountains, stirs up the winds, and reveals his thoughts to mankind. He turns the light of dawn into darkness and treads on the heights of the earth. The LORD God of Heaven’s Armies is his name! (Amos 4:13 NLT) Nothing is too hard for the LORD to handle. So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the LORD your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6 NLT) The LORD is my strength and my song; he has given me victory. This is my God, and I will praise him— my father’s God, and I will exalt him! — Exodus 15:2 (NLT)

How Kind!

  How kind the LORD is! How good he is! So merciful, this God of ours! — Psalm 116:5 (NLT) The LORD is righteous in everything he does; he is filled with kindness. (Psalm 145:17) He is slow to anger and filled with unfailing love. He forgives every kind of sin and rebellion, when we repent and confess. You know about Job, a man of great endurance. You can see how the Lord was kind to him at the end, for the Lord is full of tenderness and mercy. (James 5:11b NLT) Let my soul be at rest again, for the LORD has been good to me. He has saved me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling. And so I walk in the LORD’s presence as I live here on earth! (Psalm 116:7-9 NLT) Our ancestors in Egypt were not impressed by the LORD’s miraculous deeds. They soon forgot his many acts of kindness to them. Instead, they rebelled against him at the Red Sea. (Psalm 106:7) Never forget the kind acts of the LORD. And continually walk in the Light of His Presence.

The Almighty One

“I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.” — Revelation 1:8 (NLT) God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name: JESUS! He is Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. (See Isaiah 9:6) He is Immanuel, God with us. At the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (See Philippians 2:10-11) Honor the LORD for the glory of his name. Worship the LORD in the beauty and majesty of His holiness. Let all the earth tremble before him. (See Psalm 29:2, 96:9 NLT/AMP)

Glory to God

LORD, our Lord, How majestic is Your name in all the earth, You who have displayed Your splendor above the heavens! When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have set in place; What is man that You think of him, and a son of man that You are concerned about him? — Psalm 8:1, 3-4 (NASB) The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known. (Psalm 19:1-2 NLT) Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault. Stay Near

But as for me, the nearness of God is good for me; I have made the Lord God my refuge, so that I may tell of all Your works. — Psalm 73:28 (NASB) No matter what we go through, we still belong to our heavenly Father. He guides us with His counsel, and is leading us to a glorious destiny. Whom do we have in heaven but our mighty God? May we desire Him more than anything on earth. Our health may fail, and our spirits may grow weak, but God remains the strength of our hearts; he is ours forever. (See Psalm 73:23-26 NLT) Stay near God. It is for your good.

Be Purpose-Driven

just as [in His love] He chose us in Christ [actually selected us for Himself as His own] before the foundation of the world, so that we would be holy [that is, consecrated, set apart for Him, purpose-driven] and blameless in His sight … — Ephesians 1:4 (AMP) God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. (Ephesians 1:5 NLT) Let us passionately pursue a deeper relationship with Christ and be driven by the purpose for which God created us. The plans and thoughts that the LORD has for His people are for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Choose to Rejoice

Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the LORD! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! — Habakkuk 3:17-18 (NLT) Don't let your joy hinge on the external circumstances of this world. They are temporary and ever-changing. May joy reside deep in our hearts because of our great God, Who is always with us and promises never to leave us, nor forsake us. Let us rejoice in knowing that He, Who created the heavens and the earth, is mindful of each and every one of us. He has not forgotten about you. Rejoice in the fact that He loves you and nothing can ever separate you from His love. Be Committed

Beloved ones, God has called us to live a life of freedom. But don’t view this wonderful freedom as an excuse to set up a base of operations in the natural realm. Constantly love each other and be committed to serve one another. — Galatians 5:13 (TPT) Yet, Christ paid the full price to set us free from the curse of the law. He absorbed the curse completely as he became a curse in our place… (Galatians 3:13a TPT)  God sent him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children. (Galatians 4:5 NLT) It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1 NASB) You must continually bring healing to lepers and to those who are sick, and make it your habit to break off the demonic presence from people, and raise the dead back to life. Freely you have received the power of the kingdom, so freely release it to others. — Matthew 10:8 (TPT)

Chosen

And in love he chose us before he laid the foundation of the universe! Because of his great love, he ordained us, so that we would be seen as holy in his eyes with an unstained innocence. — Ephesians 1:4 (TPT) …you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. (1 Peter 2:9 NLT) What joy for the nation whose God is the LORD, whose people he has chosen as his inheritance. (Psalm 3:12 NLT)

Hope in His Word

I wait for the LORD, my soul does wait, and in His word do I hope. — Psalm 130:5 (NASB 1995) Keep your hope in the LORD and in His Word. For the word of God will never fail.” (Luke 1:37 NLT) He fulfills every promise. So also will be the word that He speaks. It does not return to Him unfulfilled. His word performs His purpose and fulfills the mission He sends it out to accomplish. (See Isaiah 55:11 TPT) O Israel, keep hoping, keep trusting, and keep waiting on the Lord, for he is tenderhearted, kind, and forgiving. He has a thousand ways to set you free! — Psalm 130:7 (TPT)

The Hope that Holds Me

When you abide under the shadow of Shaddai, you are hidden in the strength of God Most High. He’s the hope that holds me and the stronghold to shelter me, the only God for me, and my great confidence. — Psalm 91:1-2 (TPT) Even when your path takes me through the valley of deepest darkness, fear will never conquer me, for you already have! Your authority is my strength and my peace. The comfort of your love takes away my fear. I’ll never be lonely, for you are near. (Psalm 23:4 NLT) For You have said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.” (See Hebrews 13:5 NLT) No matter what, I’ll trust in you to help me. Nothing will stop me from praising you to magnify your glory! (Psalm 71:14 TPT) Guard me as you would guard your own eyes. Hide me in the shadow of your wings. (Psalm 17:8 NLT)
