Be Sure

You can be sure that God will take care of everything you need, his generosity exceeding even yours in the glory that pours from Jesus. Our God and Father abounds in glory that just pours out into eternity. Yes. — Philippians 4:19-20 (MSG) Our Father knows the things you have need of before you even ask Him. (Matthew 6:8) You can be sure that God will take care of everything you need. He is a faithful, generous and loving God. And nothing can separate us from His love. Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ’s love for us? There is no way! Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the worst sins… (Romans 8:38-39 MSG)

Don’t Miss the Boat

“Knowing the correct password—saying ‘Master, Master,’ for instance—isn’t going to get you anywhere with me. What is required is serious obedience—doing what my Father wills. I can see it now—at the Final Judgment thousands strutting up to me and saying, ‘Master, we preached the Message, we bashed the demons, our God-sponsored projects had everyone talking.’ And do you know what I am going to say? ‘You missed the boat. All you did was use me to make yourselves important. You don’t impress me one bit. You’re out of here.’ — Matthew 7:21-23 (MSG) Don’t miss the boat. Jesus said, “ Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. ” (Matthew 7:21 NLT)  O Lord, Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. (Matthew 6:10 NKJV)

Love the LORD

You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. — Deuteronomy 6:5 (NKJV) What a stack of blessing you have piled up for those who worship you, ready and waiting for all who run to you to escape an unkind world. (Psalm 31:19 MSG) You shall hide them in the secret place of Your presence from the plots of man; You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues. Blessed be the LORD, for He has shown me His marvelous kindness in a strong city! (Psalm 31:20-21 NKJV) As we worship the LORD and set our affections on Him, we will see the wonders of His unfailing love. In His presence is fullness of joy; in His right hand there are pleasures forevermore. (Psalm 16:11) Blessed God! His love is the wonder of the world.  (Psalm 31:21 MSG)

Be Persistent in Prayer

Be persistent and devoted to prayer, being alert and focused in your prayer life with an attitude of thanksgiving. — Colossians 4:2  (AMP) I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. (1 Timothy 2:1 NLT) But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers. (1 Peter 4:7) The LORD will be very gracious to you at the sound of your voice; when He hears it, He will answer. Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. (James 5:16 NLT)

Be Alert

Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. — 1 Peter 4:12 (NLT) Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. (1 Peter 5:8 NASB) The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; (John 10:10a NASB) But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world. (1 John 4:4 NLT) Jesus came that we may have life, and have it abundantly. (John 10:10b NASB) His purpose is to give us a rich and satisfying life. (John 10:10b NLT)

Respond to His Greatness

Stick with God

The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.” — Jeremiah 31:3 (NKJV) God draws us to Himself with love and kindness, and what great a love He has lavished on us! God’s loyal love couldn’t have run out, his merciful love couldn’t have dried up. They’re created new every morning. How great your faithfulness! I’m sticking with God (I say it over and over). He’s all I’ve got left. (Lamentations 3:22-24 MSG) God proves to be good to the man who passionately waits, to the woman who diligently seeks. It’s a good thing to quietly hope, quietly hope for help from God. It’s a good thing when you’re young to stick it out through the hard times. (Lamentations 3:25-27 MSG)

CALL

I love the LORD, because He hears my voice and my supplications. Because He has inclined His ear to me, therefore I shall call upon Him as long as I live. — Psalm 116:1-2 (NASB) We can be confident that when we call on the name of the LORD, He hears and He will respond. Death wrapped its ropes around me; the terrors of the grave overtook me. I saw only trouble and sorrow.Then I called on the name of the LORD: “Please, LORD, save me!” How kind the LORD is! How good he is! So merciful, this God of ours! The LORD protects those of childlike faith; I was facing death, and he saved me. (Psalm 116:3-6 NLT) Guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; For You [and only You] I wait [expectantly] all the day long. (Psalm 25:5 AMP)

Be Still & Wait

Be still in the presence of the LORD, and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes. — Psalm 37:7 (NLT) For evildoers will be cut off, but those who wait for the LORD, they will inherit the land. — Psalm 37:9 (NASB) Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Trust in the LORD, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the LORD, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.  (Psalm 37:1-6 NKJV)

He Satisfies & Strengthens

The LORD will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. — Isaiah 58:11 (NKJV) The LORD is my Shepherd [to feed, to guide and to shield me], I shall not want. He lets me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still and quiet waters. He refreshes and restores my soul (life); He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. (Psalm 23:1-3 AMP) He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength (Isaiah 40:29). Our heavenly Father is able to breathe life into dead bones (Ezekiel 37:4-10). He will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; He will counsel you [who are willing to learn] with His eye upon you. (Psalm 32:8 AMP)

Give it to God

Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. — 1 Peter 5:7 (NLT) Pile your troubles on God’s shoulders— he’ll carry your load, he’ll help you out. He’ll never let good people topple into ruin. (Psalm 55:22-23 MSG). When we hold onto our worries and concerns, they will consume us and draw us away from the peace and joy of His Presence. Instead of growing our faith and giving us strength, worry creates anxiety and fear and drains our energy. Let us cast all of our cares on the LORD and leave them there. Trust God and worship Him instead of worrying. So here’s what I’ve learned through it all: Leave all your cares and anxieties at the feet of the Lord, and measureless grace will strengthen you. (Psalm 55:22 TPT)

Be Thankful

Rejoice always and delight in your faith; be unceasing and persistent in prayer; in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. — 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (AMP) Our heavenly Father woke us up this morning, so we have something to be thankful for. May I never forget the good things he does for me. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies. He fills my life with good things. (Psalm 103:2-5 NLT) Let us be thankful and always remember the good things our heavenly Father does for us. Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name. (Hebrews 13:15 NASB)

Let us Kneel

And when they had come to the multitude, a man came to Him, kneeling down to Him and saying, “Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is an epileptic and suffers severely; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water. — Matthew 17:14-15 (NKJV) This father humbly came to Jesus on behalf of his son and the child was cured that very hour (Matthew 17:18). Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. (Psalm 95:6) May we humble ourselves and kneel before the LORD. Kneeling is a reminder of our position before Him. He is above all. He is our Maker, the One who created us. He is worthy of our worship. Kneeling is a sign of submission, reverence, respect and honor. “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” (James 4:6) Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, (1 Peter 5:6).

Hear Him

While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!” — Matthew 17:5 (NKJV) There are many voices that go out into the world today. There is the voice of the medical professional with the bad report, but hear the Word, by His stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Jesus is the great Physician. There is the voice of Scribes and Pharisees (religious people) who focus on rules and regulations instead of a personal relationship with the lord of Lord and the King of kings. There are the voices of the the news reporters, who speak gloom and doom, but in the Kingdom of God we have the Good News. May we have ears to hear Jesus, the Living Word. Jesus said: “ These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. ” (John 16:33 NKJV) Mary sat at Jesus’ feet and h

Walk the Right Road

Wise people walk the road that leads upward to life, not the road that leads downward to death. — Proverbs 15:24 (GNT) In Matthew 16:13-16 (NKJV), Jesus asked His disciples, “ Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am? ” So they said, “ Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets .” He said to them, “ But who do you say that I am? ” Simon Peter answered and said, “ You are the Christ, the Son of the living God .” If you know Jesus as the Son of the living God, and accept Him as our risen Savior, then you have chosen the path of life that leads upward. Jesus came that we may have life, and that we may have it more abundantly. (John 10:10 NKJV) Let us continually follow Jesus. He leads us in the paths of righteousness. And whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:15)

Turn Cartwheels of Joy

Though the cherry trees don’t blossom and the strawberries don’t ripen, though the apples are worm-eaten and the wheat fields stunted, though the sheep pens are sheepless and the cattle barns empty, I’m singing joyful praise to God. I’m turning cartwheels of joy to my Savior God. — Habakkuk 3:17-18 (MSG) Regardless of external circumstances, our inner man can always be filled with joy, knowing that God is with us and He will provide what we need to get us through each and every situation and season. I will praise the LORD at all times. I will constantly speak his praises. (Psalm 34:1 NLT) Counting on God’s Rule to prevail, I take heart and gain strength. I run like a deer. I feel like I’m king of the mountain! (Habakkuk 3:19 MSG)

“Peace be to you.”

While they were talking about this, Jesus Himself [suddenly] stood among them and said to them, “Peace be to you.” — Luke 24:36 (AMP) “Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts?” (Luke 24:38) Jesus, the Prince of Peace, has given us peace. In John 14:27 (AMP) Jesus said: “Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.]” How can we live in peace regardless of circumstances? Because we have His Presence. In Matthew 28:20 (NLT), Jesus said, “Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always , even to the end of the age.”

Trust God

I know that I will live to see the LORD's goodness in this present life. Trust in the LORD. Have faith, do not despair. Trust in the LORD. — Psalm 27:13-14 (GNT) Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! (Psalm 34:8 NKJV) Instead of believing the lies of the enemy, set your mind on the Word of God and His goodness. His Word and truth are dependable as ever; (Psalm 119:90 MSG) If it feels like you're down in a pit and don't see a way out or imprisoned by the enemy’s lies, don’t despair. God is good. When you know the truth, the truth will set you free. Joseph had to go through the pit and the prison, but eventually God placed him in the palace. Have faith and trust God as you persevere the pit and the prison. And know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. (Romans 8:28 NLT)

Full & Satisfied

Jesus said to them, “How many loaves do you have?” And they said, “Seven, and a few little fish.” So He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground. And He took the seven loaves and the fish and gave thanks, broke them and gave them to His disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitude. — Matthew 15:34-36 (NKJV) When everyone was full and satisfied, they gathered up the leftovers. And from what was once seven loaves and a few fish, they filled seven baskets! Great Faith

Then Jesus said to her, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed at that moment. — Matthew 15:28 (NIV) What did this Gentile woman do that caused Jesus to notice that she had great faith? Matthew 15:22 says, she cried out to Him, saying, “ Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon-possessed. ” Mark 7:25-26 tells us, as soon as she heard about Jesus she came and fell at His feet, and begged Him to cast out the demon from her daughter. Even after Jesus said, “ I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. ” (Matthew 15:24), she came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, help me!” (Matthew 15:25) So this woman had a sense of urgency to get to Jesus, she humbled herself, she asked for His help and she worshiped Him. I would also note, she did not take offense when Jesus said, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.” (Matthew 15:26). Instead she continued to plead

It Starts in the Heart

Do you not understand that everything that goes into the mouth passes into the stomach, and is eliminated? But the things that proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and those defile the man. — Matthew 15:17-18 (NASB) What comes out of your mouth reveals the core of your heart. (Matthew 15:18 TPT). If we want to speak words of life, let us treasure and store the Word of God in our hearts. (Psalm 119:11).  Words kill, words give life; they’re either poison or fruit—you choose. (Proverbs 18:21 MSG) I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life , that both you and your descendants may live; (Deuteronomy 30:19)

Shine!

Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, — Philippians 2:14-15 (NKJV) As children of God, may we be a reflection of His glory. We were all created to shine and let the glory of God in us, illuminate the world around us. Just as each star is unique, we all have our own way to shine and release the glory of God on the earth. Let us passionately pursue God's plan and purpose for our lives, without murmuring or questioning the providence of God.  The ways of right-living people glow with light; the longer they live, the brighter they shine. (Proverbs 4:18 MSG) Jesus said, “ Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. ” (Matthew 5:16 NKJV)

Lift Up Your Eyes

I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait for the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the LORD. — Psalm 27:13-14 (NASB) If you are in despair, chances are you have been focusing on the problem rather than His Presence, or fretting about your future. When we fix our eyes on Jesus, we know that we are more than conquerors. When we lift up our eyes to the hills— from whence comes our help, we are above the circumstances and not underneath. Here’s what I’ve learned through it all: Don’t give up; don’t be impatient; be entwined as one with the Lord. Be brave and courageous, and never lose hope. Yes, keep on waiting—for he will never disappoint you! (Psalm 27:14 TPT) Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah (Psalm 62:8 NKJV)

The Peace of God

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. — Philippians 4:6-7 (NKJV) It’s when we try to figure everything out on our own that we end up anxious, worried, and frustrated, or even fearful. When we take everything to God in prayer, and continually thank Him for all He has done and for the gracious God that He is, we experience the peace of God. [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours]. (Philippians 4:7 AMP) When we have the peace of God guarding our hearts and minds, we can stand strong, and not be moved by adverse circumstances.

Listen for His Voice

Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left. — Isaiah 30:21 (NKJV) Be careful whose voice you listen to. Listening to the world, will lead you down the wrong path which leads to darkness, depression and death. However, your heavenly Father will lead along the path that leads to life, and life more abundantly. In John 10:27, Jesus said, “ My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. ” Let us turn the volume down on the world, and tune in to the voice of the Holy Spirit, who dwells within us. Then once we hear His voice, let us be sure to follow His instruction. The steps of a [good and righteous] man are directed and established by the LORD, and He delights in his way [and blesses his path]. (Psalm 37:23 AMP)

Look to Him

God, the LORD, created the heavens and stretched them out. He created the earth and everything in it. He gives breath to everyone, life to everyone who walks the earth. — Isaiah 42:5  (NLT) Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces. — Psalm 34:5 (NLT) Our heavenly Father is Elohim, the great Creator. He knit us together in our mother’s womb and gave us the breath of life. He wrote all our days in His book before one of them came to be. Let us look to Him for help, before we phone a friend or consult a counselor. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. (Psalm 118:8) He is the source of our help, our hope, our peace and our joy. Now may God, the inspiration and fountain of hope, fill you to overflowing with uncontainable joy and perfect peace as you trust in him. And may the power of the Holy Spirit continually surround your life with his super-abundance until you radiate with hope! ( Romans 15:13 TP

Our Oasis

“Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Then come to me. I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis. Simply join your life with mine. Learn my ways and you’ll discover that I’m gentle, humble, easy to please. You will find refreshment and rest in me. For all that I require of you will be pleasant and easy to bear.” — Matthew 11:28-30 (TPT) In The Passion Translation, Jesus says, He is our oasis. An oasis is a pleasant and peaceful place found in the midst of hard and difficult terrain. In this chaotic world, Jesus is our calm. In a dry and weary land, He is a spring of living water. When we join our lives with His, we learn His gentle and humble ways. As we learn to draw our strength and all that we need from Him, we will rest and be refreshed. He who comes to Jesus shall never hunger, and he who believes in Him shall never thirst. (John 6:35)

Believe for the Best

“And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. — Luke 11:9-10 (NLT) “This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. (John 3:16 MSG) For God has proved his love by giving us his greatest treasure, the gift of his Son. And since God freely offered him up as the sacrifice for us all, he certainly won’t withhold from us anything else he has to give. (Romans 8:32 TPT) Our heavenly Father is a generous giver. As with any gift given, we must believe the gift is for us and receive it. Believe that our God is a good Father who loves you and wants nothing but the best for you. Settle for nothing less than God's best.

Never Lose Faith

And without faith living within us it would be impossible to please God. For we come to God in faith knowing that he is real and that he rewards the faith of those who give all their passion and strength into seeking him. — Hebrews 11:6 (TPT) In Matthew 3:13-14, when Jesus came to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him, John tried to prevent Him, saying, “ I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me? ” But after John was imprisoned, he began to doubt. Surrender

“And whoever comes to me must follow in my steps and be willing to share my cross and experience it as his own, or he cannot be considered to be my disciple. All who seek to live apart from me will lose it all. But those who let go of their lives for my sake and surrender it all to me will discover true life!” — Matthew 10:38-39 (TPT) Surrender all and follow Jesus. Then you will discover the true life, a life of freedom and grace. Jesus came that we may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]. (John 10:10b AMP) Let us look to Jesus. The Message Bible says, “ If you don’t go all the way with me, through thick and thin, you don’t deserve me. If your first concern is to look after yourself, you’ll never find yourself. But if you forget about yourself and look to me, you’ll find both yourself and me .” — Matthew 10:38-39 (MSG) Amen.

New Things

“Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I declare; Before they spring forth I tell you of them.” — Isaiah 42:9 (NKJV) Forget those things which are behind and reach forward to the new things which are ahead. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. (Isaiah 43:19 NLT) Let us stop looking for what is convenient, step out of our comfort zones and into the new things God has for us. The LORD’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22-23 NASB)
