He Restores

Image
Your righteousness, O God, reaches to the highest heavens. You have done such wonderful things. Who can compare with you, O God? You have allowed me to suffer much hardship, but you will restore me to life again and lift me up from the depths of the earth. — Psalm 71:19-20 (NLT) My fellow believers, when it seems as though you are facing nothing but difficulties, see it as an invaluable opportunity to experience the greatest joy that you can! For you know that when your faith is tested it stirs up in you the power of endurance. (James 1:2-3 TPT) And after you have suffered a little while, He will restore, support, and strengthen you, and He will place you on a firm foundation. (See 1 Peter 5:10)

Trust, Delight & Commit

Image
Trust in the LORD and do good; Live in the land and cultivate faithfulness. Delight yourself in the LORD; and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD, trust also in Him, and He will do it. — Psalm 37:3-5 (NASB) Trust God and do what is right in His eyes, instead of following the ways of the worldly culture. His ways are higher and better than our ways. When our delight and true pleasure are in Yahweh, our desires will align with His good plans and He will certainly bring them to pass. Commit everything you do to the LORD, and your plans will be established. (See Proverbs 16:3)

He Races to the Rescue

Image
When I screamed out, “Lord, I’m doomed!” your fiery love was stirred, and you raced to my rescue. Whenever my busy thoughts were out of control, the soothing comfort of your presence calmed me down and overwhelmed me with delight. — Psalm 94:18-19 (TPT) Even the worldly King Darius declared to every race and nation and language throughout the world: “Peace and prosperity to you! I decree that everyone throughout my kingdom should tremble with fear before the God of Daniel. For he is the living God, and he will endure forever. His kingdom will never be destroyed, and his rule will never end. He rescues and saves his people; He performs miraculous signs and wonders in the heavens and on earth. He rescued Daniel from the power of the lions.” (Daniel 6:25-27 NLT) When bombarded with anxious thoughts, remember that YAHWEH is the living God. His Kingdom dominion is forever. And He always rescues and saves His people. Amen.

Fear the LORD

Image
Fear of the LORD is the foundation of true wisdom. All who obey his commandments will grow in wisdom. Praise him forever! — Psalm 111:10 (NLT) Fear the LORD, you His saints; for to those who fear Him there is no lack of anything. (Psalm 34:9 NASB) Praise the LORD! Blessed is a person who fears the LORD, who greatly delights in His commandments. (Psalm 112:1 NASB) You who fear the LORD, trust in the LORD; He is their help and their shield. He will bless those who fear the LORD, the small together with the great. May the LORD increase you, you and your children. May you be blessed of the LORD, Maker of heaven and earth. (Psalm 115:11,13-15 NASB) “Now then, let the fear of the LORD be upon you; be careful about what you do, for the LORD our God will have no part in injustice or partiality, or in the taking of a bribe.” (2 Chronicles 19:7 NASB) “…You must always act in the fear of the LORD, with faithfulness and an undivided heart.” (2 Chronicles 19:9 NLT)

Count on Him

Image
“ When you pass through the deep, stormy sea, you can count on me to be there with you. When you pass through raging rivers, You will not drown. When you walk through persecution like fiery flames, you will not be burned; the flames will not harm you, for I am your Savior, Yahweh, your mighty God, the Holy One of Israel! ” — Isaiah 43:2-3a (TPT) You can count on the LORD to be with you, in ALL situations. If God has determined to stand with us, tell me, who then could ever stand against us? (See Romans 8:31)

The LORD is Good

Image
O taste and see that the LORD is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! — Psalm 34:8 (NASB 1995) The LORD is good. He gives strength to the weary, and to him who lacks might He increases power. (Isaiah 40:29 NASB 1995)  He pardons all your iniquities, He heals all your diseases; He redeems your life from the pit, and crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion; (See Psalm 103:3-4 NASB 1995) Be confident that you will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living (See Psalm 27:13). The LORD’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I have hope in Him.” The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, to the person who seeks Him. (Lamentations 3:22-25 NASB 1995) May we continually seek the LORD and do His will.

Focus on Jesus

Image
We look away from the natural realm and we focus our attention and expectation onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. His example is this: Because his heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be his, he endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God! — Hebrews 12:2 (TPT) Look away from the distractions of this world. Let us focus our attention on Jesus and move forward in faith, with a growing expectation of seeing the grace and goodness of our great God. This hope [this confident assurance] we have as an anchor of the soul [it cannot slip and it cannot break down under whatever pressure bears upon it]—a safe and steadfast hope that enters within the veil [of the heavenly temple, that most Holy Place in which the very presence of God dwells], (Hebrews 6:19 AMP).

A Father’s Help

Image
Give us a father’s help when we face our enemies. For to trust in any man is an empty hope. With God’s help we will prevail with might and power. And with God’s help we’ll trample down our every foe! — Psalm 108:12-13 (TPT) How blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, Whose hope is in the Lord his God, Who made heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them; Who keeps faith forever; (Psalm 146:5-6 NASB) With God’s help, we will prevail and no weapon formed against us will prosper (See Isaiah 54:17) Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God. (Psalm 42:11b NASB)

Be Glad

Image
Be glad in the LORD, you righteous ones, and give thanks to His holy name. — Psalm 97:12 (NASB1995)  He will show you the way of life, granting you the joy of His presence and the pleasures of living with Him forever. (See Psalm 16:11 NLT) So ...let the godly rejoice. Let them be glad in God’s presence. Let them be filled with joy. Sing praises to God and to his name! Sing loud praises to him who rides the clouds. His name is the LORD— rejoice in his presence! (Psalm 68:3-4 NLT)

Don't Doubt

Image
For we are those he cares for, and he is the God we worship. So drop everything else and listen to his voice! For this is what he’s saying: “Today, when I speak, don’t even think about turning a deaf ear to me like they did when they tested me at Meribah and Massah, the place where they argued with me, their Creator. Your ancestors challenged me over and over with their complaining, even though I had convinced them of my power and love. They still doubted my care for them.” — Psalm 95:7-9 (TPT) Listen to the voice of the Lord and do everything without complaining and arguing. (See Philippians 2:14 NLT) And never doubt that God cares for you. You can give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. (See 1 Peter 5:7 NLT)

An Everlasting Love

Image
The LORD appeared to him from afar, saying, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness. — Jeremiah 31:3 (NASB 1995) So we will never fear even if every structure of support were to crumble away. We will not fear even when the earth quakes and shakes, moving mountains and casting them into the sea. For the raging roar of stormy winds and crashing waves cannot erode our faith in you. Pause in his presence (Psalm 46:2-3 TPT) Yet, in spite of all this, I still belong to you; you hold me by my right hand. (Psalm 73:23 TPT) The LORD has loved us with an everlasting love and no matter what happens, natural disasters, pandemics, etc., we are continually with Him, the safest place of all.

Never Stop

Image
“Never stop praying.” — 1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:17‬ ‭(NLT‬‬) Prayer is a continual conversation with our Heavenly Father. “Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell him every detail of your life, then God’s wonderful peace that transcends human understanding, will guard your heart and mind through Jesus Christ.” (Philippians‬ ‭4:6-7‬ ‭TPT‬‬) “So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.” (Hebrews‬ ‭4:16‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

Believe

Image
for we live by faith, not by what we see with our eyes. — 2 Corinthians 5:7 (TPT) Live by faith. For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! (2 Corinthians 4:17 NLT) So we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are unseen; for the things which are visible are temporal [just brief and fleeting], but the things which are invisible are everlasting and imperishable. (2 Corinthians 4:18 AMP) Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Jesus. (See John 14:1) Believe that God loves you and the plans He has for you are good. Believe that God is faithful to fulfill every promise He has made. Stand on His Word, not on the report of man. Believe that our great God is able to deliver you from all your troubles. Just believe.

Lead Me to the Rock

Image
From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. — Psalm 61:2 (NIV) No one is holy like the LORD! There is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God. (1 Samuel 2:2 NLT) For no matter where I am, even when I’m far from home, I will cry out to you for a father’s help. When I’m feeble and overwhelmed by life, guide me into your glory, where I am safe and sheltered. Lord, you are a paradise of protection to me. You lift me high above the fray. None of my foes can touch me when I’m held firmly in your wraparound presence! Psalm 61:2-3 (TPT) The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. — Psalm 18:2 (NLT)

This is the Day!

Image
Put your heart and soul into every activity you do, as though you are doing it for the Lord himself and not merely for others. — Colossians 3:23 (TPT) Whatever task God has given you today, work at it with all your heart. Seek to please God, rather than people. This is the day which the LORD has made; Let’s rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24 NASB) Before we had even seen the light of day, all the days ordained for us were already recorded in His book. (See Psalm 139:16) So no matter what happens today, we can rejoice and know that God has already gone before us and made a way. Amen. …as for me, I trust in You, LORD, I say, “ You are my God .” My times are in Your hand… (Psalm 31:14-15a NASB)

Trust Totally

Image
Before you do anything, put your trust totally in God and not in yourself. Then every plan you make will succeed.  — Proverbs 16:3 (TPT) Trust totally in God. This is what the LORD says: “Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from the LORD. But blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence.” (Jeremiah 17:5, 7 NLT) And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. (Romans 8:28 AMP) “ No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him .” — 1 Corinthians 2:9b (NLT)

His Love Triumphs

Image
So now I live with the confidence that there is nothing in the universe with the power to separate us from God’s love. I’m convinced that his love will triumph over death, life’s troubles, fallen angels, or dark rulers in the heavens. There is nothing in our present or future circumstances that can weaken his love. — Romans 8:38 (TPT) There is no power above us or beneath us—no power that could ever be found in the universe that can distance us from God’s passionate love, which is lavished upon us through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One! (Romans 8:39 TPT) So, what does all this mean? If God has determined to stand with us, tell me, who then could ever stand against us? (Romans 8:31 TPT) As we abide in the Lord Jesus, God stands with us, and Jesus causes us to triumph over all. Hallelujah!

Like Clay

Image
Yet still, Yahweh, you are our Father. We are like clay and you are our Potter. Each one of us is the creative, artistic work of your hands. — Isaiah 64:8 (TPT) You formed my innermost being, shaping my delicate inside and my intricate outside, and wove them all together in my mother’s womb. (Psalm 139:13 TPT) Just as the LORD fashioned our physical body, He desires to shape our inner being. Like clay, let us respond to each touch of His hand. He makes an impression of His love on each person He has formed. He works into us, patience, kindness, gentleness and goodness. He fills each vessel with joy and peace. If we patiently stay on the potter’s wheel, the end result is a beautiful, unique masterpiece, full of grace and light. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. — Psalm 139:14 (NLT)

Keep Living in the Light

Image
But if we keep living in the pure light that surrounds him, we share unbroken fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, continually cleanses us from all sin. — 1 John 1:7 (TPT) If we claim that we share life with him, but keep walking in the realm of darkness, we’re fooling ourselves and not living the truth. (1 John 1:6) If we boast that we have no sin, we’re only fooling ourselves and are strangers to the truth. (1 John 1:8) Keep living in the glorious Light of the Lord. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people. (See Philippians 2:15 NLT)  Your hearts can soar with joyful gratitude when you think of how God made you worthy to receive the glorious inheritance freely given to us by living in the light. He has rescued us completely from the tyrannical rule of darkness and has translated us into the kingdom realm of his beloved Son. (Colossians 1:12-13 TPT)

Peace be with You

Image
“And everything I’ve taught you is so that the peace which is in me will be in you and will give you great confidence as you rest in me. For in this unbelieving world you will experience trouble and sorrows, but you must be courageous, for I have conquered the world!” — John 16:33 (TPT) We remain in peace as we rest in the promises of God and trust Him to fulfill every Word He has said. Whatever the circumstances, the LORD will keep in perfect peace all who trust in Him, all whose thoughts are fixed on Him! (See Isaiah 26:3 NLT) Jesus, the Prince of Peace has given us His peace. Let your heart be always guided by the peace of the Anointed One, who called you to peace as part of his one body. And always be thankful. (Colossians 3:15 TPT)

Trust in the Lord

Image
Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make. — Proverbs 3:5 (TPT) “Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.” (Deuteronomy 31:8 NLT) Be strong and courageous! Trust in the LORD and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, and He will do it. (Psalm 37:3, 5 NLT) Oh, the joys of those who trust the LORD, who have no confidence in the proud or in those who worship idols. — Psalm 40:4 (NLT)

Wait Patiently

Image
Wait patiently for the LORD. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the LORD. — Psalm 27:14 (NLT) The Word of God says wait, not worry. Don't wonder " why ?" or " when ?" Don't wander away from our Heavenly Father and His will. Instead, wait patiently and with great expectation upon the LORD. …those who wait for Yahweh’s grace will experience divine strength. They will rise up on soaring wings and fly like eagles, run their race without growing weary, and walk through life without giving up. (Isaiah 40:31 TPT)

Unshakable

Image
This means that all of creation will be shaken and removed, so that only unshakable things will remain. Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe. For our God is a devouring fire. — Hebrews 12:27-29 (NLT) Don’t be shaken by the circumstances of this world. The kingdom of God is continual righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. (See Romans 14:17) Do you see what we’ve got? An unshakable kingdom! And do you see how thankful we must be? Not only thankful, but brimming with worship, deeply reverent before God. For God is not an indifferent bystander. He’s actively cleaning house, torching all that needs to burn, and he won’t quit until it’s all cleansed. God himself is Fire! (Hebrews 12:28-29 MSG) Let us lay down our lives in absolute surrender, and be consumed with awe as we worship Yahweh, our strong and sure refuge.

Our Help & Our Hope

Image
... the LORD watches over those who fear him, those who rely on his unfailing love. He rescues them from death and keeps them alive in times of famine. We put our hope in the LORD. He is our help and our shield.  — Psalms 33:18-20 (NLT) “With God’s help we will do mighty things, for he will trample down our foes.” (Psalms 60:12 NLT) In Isaiah 41:13 (TPT), He says: “I am Yahweh, your mighty God! I grip your right hand and won’t let you go! I whisper to you: ‘Don’t be afraid; I am here to help you!’” “And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you.” (Psalms 39:7 NLT) “Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you.” (Psalms 25:5 NLT) For everyone who knows your wonderful name keeps putting their trust in you. They can count on you for help no matter what. O Lord, you will never, no never, neglect those who come to you. (Psalm 9:10 TPT) Put your hope in the Lord, and wait for His help. You answer our prayers with amazi

Our Strength

Image
The LORD is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving. — Psalm 28:7 (NLT) See, God has come to save me. I will trust in him and not be afraid. The LORD God is my strength and my song; he has given me victory. (Isaiah 12:2 NLT) Why try to do anything in mere human ability, with our limited perspective? Rely on the LORD and His strength and power that resides within you, through the Holy Spirit. God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. (Psalm 46:1 NLT) “ Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, ” says the LORD of hosts. (See Zechariah 4:6 NKJV)

Always the Same

Image
Long ago you laid the foundation of the earth and made the heavens with your hands. They will perish, but you remain forever; they will wear out like old clothing. You will change them like a garment and discard them. But you are always the same; you will live forever. — Psalm 102:25-27 (NLT) The LORD is always the same and He will remain forever. He is a faithful Father, a loving Lord and a mighty Savior. He is full of grace and mercy. Yahweh is compassionate and kind. All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD, and all the families of the nations will worship before You. For the kingdom is the LORD’s and He rules over the nations. — Psalm 22:27-28 (NASB)

Don’t Drift

Image
My child, never drift off course from these two goals for your life: to walk in wisdom and to discover your purpose. Don’t ever forget how they empower you. For they strengthen you inside and out and inspire you to do what’s right; you will be energized and refreshed by the healing they bring. They give you living hope to guide you, and not one of life’s tests will cause you to stumble. — Proverbs 3:21-23 (TPT) Walk in wisdom and according to your God ordained purpose, and you will stay on course. Your faith will not be shipwrecked, and you will have the inner strength to do what is right.  ...fight the good fight, keeping faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and suffered shipwreck in regard to their faith. (See 1 Timothy 1:18-19 NASB)

Stay on the Right Path

Image
Set your gaze on the path before you. With fixed purpose, looking straight ahead, ignore life’s distractions. Watch where you’re going! Stick to the path of truth, and the road will be safe and smooth before you. Don’t allow yourself to be sidetracked for even a moment or take the detour that leads to darkness. — Proverbs 4:25-27 (TPT) Don’t be consumed by the cares of this world. The deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things will choke the Word, and it will produce no fruit in your life. (See Mark 4:19) Look away from the natural realm and focus your attention and expectation onto Jesus, Who began and finished this race we’re in. Jesus is the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. (See Hebrews 12:2) Keep your eyes on Jesus! He is the only way, the real truth and the real life. (See John 14:6 AMP)

He Lives Among Us

Image
“ For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs. ” — Zephaniah 3:17 (NLT) The LORD is Immanuel, God with us. He lives among us and within us. The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. (Psalm 34:17 NLT) In Psalm 46:10 (TPT) He says: “Surrender your anxiety. Be still and realize that I am God. I am God above all the nations, and I am exalted throughout the whole earth.” “And everything I’ve taught you is so that the peace which is in me will be in you and will give you great confidence as you rest in me. For in this unbelieving world you will experience trouble and sorrows, but you must be courageous, for I have conquered the world!” (John 16:33 TPT)

Hold to the Hope

Image
So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary. — Hebrews 6:18-19 (NLT) We have this certain hope like a strong, unbreakable anchor holding our souls to God himself. (Hebrews 6:18a TPT) Don’t give up; don’t be impatient; be entwined as one with the Lord. Be brave and courageous, and never lose hope. Yes, keep on waiting—for he will never disappoint you! (See Psalm 27:14 TPT) Don’t worry or surrender to your fear. For you’ve believed in God, now trust and believe in Jesus also. (See John 14:1 TPT)

Set Free

Image
For He looked down from His holy height; from heaven the LORD looked upon the earth, to hear the groaning of the prisoner, to set free those who were doomed to death, — Psalm 102:19-20 (NASB) “The LORD lives! Praise to my Rock! May God, the Rock of my salvation, be exalted!” (2 Samuel 22:47 NLT) God’s desire is to set us free; Free from sin, death and the grave, free from the lies of the enemy, free from worry and anxiety. In Isaiah 32:18, He says, “ My people will live free from worry in secure, quiet homes of peace. ”  Our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds. (See Titus 2:13-14 NLT) …you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love. (Galatians 5:13 NLT) Live free. Amen.
