He is Good to All

Image
The LORD is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy. The LORD is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works. — Psalm 145:8-9 (NKJV) The LORD is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all his creation (Psalm 145:9 NLT). He himself gives life and breath to everything, and he satisfies every need (Acts 17:25b NLT). The LORD upholds all who fall, and raises up all who are bowed down (Psalm 145:14 NKJV). The LORD is righteous in all His ways, gracious in all His works. The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth (Psalm 145:17-18 NKJV). He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them (Psalm 145:19 NKJV). Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. (Psalm 118:29 NLT)

Lavished with Lovingkindness

Image
Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, for in You do I trust; Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul to You. — Psalm 143:8 (NKJV) We can not only hear of the LORD’s lovingkindness, we can experience it for ourselves. The LORD’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22-23 NASB) He crowns us [lavishly] with lovingkindness and tender mercy (Psalm 103:4b AMP). His lovingkindness is better than life itself (Psalm 63:3a).  How blessed and favored are the people in such circumstance; How blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored] are the people whose God is the LORD! (Psalm 144:15 AMP)

My eyes are upon You

Image
But my eyes are upon You, O GOD the Lord; in You I take refuge; Do not leave my soul destitute. — Psalm 141:8 (NKJV) The most effective and beneficial move we can make, in any and every situation is to keep our eyes on the LORD, our God. As Peter kept his eyes on Jesus, he was able to walk on the water, but when he looked at the external conditions, the wind, around him, he got fearful and started to sink (Matthew 14:28-30). With our eyes on Jesus we can do the extraordinary. In Matthew 14:19-21, Jesus took five loaves and two fish, and looked up to heaven. He then proceeded to feed five thousand men, besides women and children. They all ate and were filled, and they took up twelve baskets full of the leftover fragments (Matthew 14:19-21). When we look to the Provider, He will take care of the provision. Instead of examining the complexities of the challenges, keep your eyes on the Lord and entertain the possibilities of our great God. We keep looking to the LORD our God for his

Surrounded

Image
As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people from this time forth and forever. — Psalm 125:2 (NKJV) Our heavenly Father surrounds us with arms of love. His eye watches over us to protect us and guide us along as we go about our day. He upholds us with His mighty hand. (Psalm 37:24) When you call out to Him, He will answer. Psalm 138:3 (AMP) says: On the day I called, You answered me; and You made me bold and confident with [renewed] strength in my life. You can be certain that the LORD will perfect that which concerns you. (Psalm 138:8a) For you bless the godly, O LORD; you surround them with your shield of love. (Psalm 5:12 NLT)

He is Our Keeper

Image
The LORD is your keeper; the LORD is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. — Psalm 121:5-6 (NKJV) The One who keeps you will not slumber or sleep. He watches over you and stands beside you, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Even the darkness does not hide you from Him. (Psalm 139:12) The LORD will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul. The LORD will guard your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forever. (Psalm 121:7-8 NASB) Look up to the mountains— does your help come from there? Your help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth! (Psalm 121:1-2) Look to the LORD, your Keeper. He is our help and our only hope. Amen.

This is the Day!

Image
This is the day which the LORD has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it. — Psalm 118:24 (NASB) Every day of your life was recorded in His book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. (Psalm 139:16 NLT) Nothing that has happened in your life took Him by surprise. He has you here for such a time as this. The LORD is good, and He does good; (Psalm 119:68 NKJV). So we can rejoice, knowing that He has a plan for our lives and His plan is good. He woke you up this morning because He has a purpose and a destiny for you to fulfill today. Let go of the past, stop fretting the future and embrace the wonder of today.

He Goes with Us

Image
The LORD replied, “I will personally go with you, Moses, and I will give you rest—everything will be fine for you.” — Exodus 33:14 (NLT) Just as the LORD was with Moses, He is with us. In Deuteronomy 31:6, He promises never to leave us or forsake us. Whatever God has called you to do and where ever He has called you to go, be confident that He goes with you. He will show you the way and as you go, He wants you to enjoy the pleasure of His Presence; walk in His peace and experience the fullness of joy. The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you. (Psalm 32:8 NLT) Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9 NKJV)

He’s on Your Side

Image
The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? — Psalm 118:6 (NKJV) LORD Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in you (Psalm 84:12 NIV). It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man (Psalm 118:8 NKJV). Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe (Proverbs 29:25 NIV). The Lord Is faithful. When all others forsake you, the Lord will stand with you and strengthen you, as He did the Apostle Paul, in 2 Timothy 4:16-17. With God on your side, who can stand against you? Trust in the LORD always, for the LORD God is the eternal Rock. (Isaiah 26:4 NLT)

Praise the LORD!

Image
I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright and in the congregation. — Psalm 111:1 (NKJV) Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the Lord! (Psalm 150:6) If you are reading this, you have the breath of life in your body, so get your praise on. Turn it up! Praise the LORD! Praise, O servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD! Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and forevermore! From the rising of the sun to its going down the LORD’s name is to be praised. (Psalm 113:1-3 NKJV) The works of the LORD are great! (Psalm 111:2a)  May His praise be on our lips, not just on Sunday morning, but throughout our day, every day of the week.

Give Us Help!

Image
Give us help from trouble, for the help of man is useless. Through God we will do valiantly, for it is He who shall tread down our enemies. — Psalm 108:12-13 (NKJV) With God’s help, we can be courageous and determined to persevere to the end, knowing that we have the victory. We win! Zechariah 4:6 (NIV) says, “‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty.” Why try to fight battles in your own strength, when you can call on the name of the LORD? Philippians 4:13 says, we can do all things through Christ, because He is the One who strengthens us and empowers us to fulfill God’s purpose in our lives. Help me, O LORD my God! Oh, save me according to Your mercy, that they may know that this is Your hand— That You, LORD, have done it! (Psalm 109:26-27 NKJV)

He Calms the Storm

Image
Then they cry out to the LORD in their trouble, and He brings them out of their distresses. He calms the storm, so that its waves are still. Then they are glad because they are quiet; So He guides them to their desired haven. Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! — Psalm 107:28-31 (NKJV) Our heavenly Father will be your calm in the midst of the storm. Keep your eyes on Him and not external circumstances. He will bring you through the storm and safely guide you to your desired haven. When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. (Isaiah 43:2 NLT)

He is Deeply Concerned

Image
And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. — Romans 8:28 (AMP) Consider it nothing but joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you fall into various trials. Be assured that the testing of your faith [through experience] produces endurance [leading to spiritual maturity, and inner peace]. (James 1:2-3 AMP) Know that God is deeply concerned about you and He has a plan for your life that is good. For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the LORD, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster to give you a future and a hope . (Jeremiah 29:11 (AMP)

Wonderfully Made

Image
For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. — Psalm 139:13-14 (NKJV) God made you, uniquely you and He made you wonderful! His workmanship is marvelous. He sculpted you from nothing into something. Like an open book, He watched you grow from conception to birth; all the stages of your life were spread out before Him, the days of your life all prepared before you had even lived one day. (Psalm 139:14-16 MSG) God already knows what this day holds for you and He has prepared you to walk in victory. He goes before you and follows you. He places His hand of blessing on your head. (Psalm 139:5 NLT)

Great is His Mercy

Image
The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in mercy. — Psalm 103:8 (NKJV) He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor punished us according to our iniquities. For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; (Psalm 103:10-11) The mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children’s children, (Psalm 103:17). But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), (Ephesians 2:4-5). Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:16)

God is on the Throne

Image
In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul. — Psalm 94:19 (NKJV) Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression (Proverbs 12:25a). So when you are experiencing a multitude of anxieties, cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7 NASB). He will comfort your soul. When you are upset and beside yourself, He will calm you down and cheer you up. (Psalm 94:19 MSG) No need to be anxious when our God is on the throne. He is bigger than any mountain you face. He is higher than any hurdle in front of you. He is more powerful than the storms that come, and He will see you through each one.

Stay Fresh & Flourishing

Image
Those who are planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing, — Psalm 92:13-14 (NKJV) We are to be planted in the house of the LORD. And Colossians 2:7 (NLT) says, “Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.” Jesus is the vine, we are the branches. He who abides in Jesus, bears much fruit; for without Him we can do nothing. (John 15:5) As we are planted and rooted in Him, we will stay fresh, we will flourish and be fruitful. The righteous will flourish like the date palm [long-lived, upright and useful]; They will grow like a cedar in Lebanon [majestic and stable]. (Psalm 92:12 AMP)

He is Mightier

Image
The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, than the mighty waves of the sea. — Psalm 93:4 (NKJV)  The enemy may be making lots of noise regarding your spouse, your children, your finances or your job/business, but remember that the LORD our God is mightier than the noise of the enemy. Drown out the noise of the enemy with praises to Almighty God. Lift up your voice and call upon our awesome God. The minute I said, “I’m slipping, I’m falling,” your love, God, took hold and held me fast (Psalm 94:18 MSG). Unless the LORD had helped me, I would soon have settled in the silence of the grave (Psalm 94:17 NLT).

Declare His Lovingkindness

Image
It is good to give thanks to the LORD, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; to declare Your lovingkindness in the morning, and Your faithfulness every night, — Psalm 92:1-2 (NKJV) It is good to give thanks and shout His praises, all day long! How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. (Psalm 36:7 NKJV) Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You. (Psalm 63:3) The LORD’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is His faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22-23 NASB) At the end of the day, when you lie down, you will not be afraid; Yes, you will lie down in peace and your sleep will be sweet. (Proverbs 3:24 & Psalm 4:8) For He alone is faithful to watch over you and wake you up again.

Be a Friend

Image
and let us consider [thoughtfully] how we may encourage one another to love and to do good deeds, — Hebrews 10:24 (AMP) A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity (Proverbs 17:17 NIV).  But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24). Be that friend. The New Living Bible says: Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works (Hebrews 10:24). Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony . (Colossians 3:13-14 NLT)

Learn to Rely on God

Image
We think you ought to know, dear brothers and sisters, about the trouble we went through in the province of Asia. We were crushed and overwhelmed beyond our ability to endure, and we thought we would never live through it. In fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely only on God, who raises the dead. — 2 Corinthians 1:8-9 (NLT) Whenever you go through troubles of any kind, do not lean on your own strength and knowledge, but rely on God and His power that is at work in you. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead. When you are burdened beyond measure, draw strength from the LORD and totally trust God to carry your load. When all seems lost, put your hope in the LORD and you will not be disappointed. As it turned out, it was the best thing that could have happened. Instead of trusting in our own strength or wits to get out of it, we were forced to trust God totally —not a bad idea since he’s the God who ra

His Presence is the Highest Priority

Image
But as for me, the nearness of God is my good; I have made the Lord God my refuge, that I may tell of all Your works. — Psalm 73:28 (NASB) Let us draw near to God for the sheer pleasure of being in His Presence. He will make known to you the path of life; In His presence is fullness of joy; (Psalm 16:11a NASB). He is a giver of every perfect gift, but the most excellent present of all, is His Presence. His Presence empowers us to become who He has called us to become and to do all that He has called us to do. He is our champion and constant companion. Always pursue a closer walk with Him. Our God is full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth. (Psalm 86:15). In His Presence we become more like Him. Can the people in your life tell you have been spending time in His Presence?

He Gives what is Good

Image
Yes, the LORD will give what is good; and our land will yield its increase. — Psalm 85:12 (NKJV) Great is the goodness of our God. He is good and He does good. Our heavenly Father gives what is good. Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. (James 1:17 NASB). Medicine is good for you, but it may not taste good when its being swallowed. Similarly, every situation we encounter in life may not seem good at the moment, but He will work it  all together for good. I have heard that, God is more interested in our condition than our comfort. No matter what you're going through, just believe that you will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. (Psalm 27:13)

Enter His Gates

Image
My soul longs, yes, even faints for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. — Psalm 84:2 (NKJV) Blessed and greatly favored are those who dwell in Your house and Your presence; they will be singing Your praises all the day long. Selah. — Psalm 84:4 (AMP) A single day in His courts is better than a thousand anywhere else! I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God than live the good life in the homes of the wicked. (Psalm 84:10 NLT) No matter what life may bring our way, if we dwell in His presence, we can continue to praise the LORD. He is a living God! The tomb where Jesus was laid is empty, and He has gained the victory for us. Let us enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and come into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. (Psalm 100:4)

casting all your cares

Image
…casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].  — 1 Peter 5:7 (AMP) This Scripture gives us two things to do. First, we have to cast our cares. That means we have to let them go. Release them to God. Notice it says “ALL” your cares. Don’t hold onto one, thinking you know better than God how to fix it. Psalm 55:22 in The Message Bibles says, “ Pile your troubles on God’s shoulders— he’ll carry your load, he’ll help you out. He’ll never let good people topple into ruin. ” If you are still worrying about something, that's a good indication that you have not cast it. The second thing this Scripture requires us to do is believe that God cares about us. Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6 NKJV). Know t

Be Spirit-Led

Image
Marvelous things He did in the sight of their fathers, in the land of Egypt, in the field of Zoan. He divided the sea and caused them to pass through; and He made the waters stand up like a heap. In the daytime also He led them with the cloud, and all the night with a light of fire. — Psalm 78:12-14 (NKJV) For forty years, God led the Israelites through the wilderness. He led them with a cloud by day and a pillar of fire at night. Today, we are to be led by the Holy Spirit who resides within us. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. (Romans 8:14 NLT) He made His own people go forth like sheep, and guided them in the wilderness like a flock; and He led them on safely, so that they did not fear; but the sea overwhelmed their enemies. (Psalm 78:52-53 NKJV). Our heavenly Father keeps His people safe and takes care of our enemies. You may wander in the wilderness at times, but keep going, He has a land of promise for you too. He has marvelous things to perfor

Let Him be Your Guide

Image
Nevertheless I am continually with You; You hold me by my right hand. You will guide me with Your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. — Psalm 73:23-24 (NKJV) No matter what you go through on any given day, remember that the LORD is with you. Look to Him for help, comfort and guidance. When you walk in His wisdom, there is no need to worry. For the LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;  He is a shield to those who walk uprightly; He guards the paths of justice, and preserves the way of His saints.  (Proverbs 2:6-8 NKJV)

Go in His Strength

Image
I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD; I will make mention of Your righteousness, of Yours only. — Psalm 71:16 (NKJV) How shall we accomplish all that God has called us to? By going in His strength. It will all come together not by our might nor by our power, but by His Spirit, working in us and through us. As we follow Him, we will go from strength to strength, increasing in victorious power. (Psalm 84:7 AMP) Blessed and greatly favored is the man whose strength is in the LORD! (Psalm 84:5 AMP) As we go in His strength, what seems impossible, becomes possible. Nothing is too difficult for our great God!

Praise Him More & More

Image
Upon You have I relied and been sustained from my birth; You are He who took me from my mother’s womb and You have been my benefactor from that day. My praise is continually of You.  My mouth is filled with Your praise and with Your glory all day long. — Psalm 71:6, 8 (AMP) God chose you and loved you before the foundation of the world. He knit you together in your mother’s womb. He has sustained you since you drew your first breath. Each day we live the more we have to be thankful for. Praise Him and bring glory to His name all day, every day!  But as for me, I will wait and hope continually, and will praise You yet more and more. (Psalm 71:14 AMP)

Loaded with Benefits

Image
Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits, the God of our salvation! Selah — Psalm 68:19 (NKJV) Let us be mindful of the wide array of benefits the Lord bestows upon us every moment of our day. Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits— who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. (Psalm 103:2-5 NIV) The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness;  his mercies begin afresh each morning. (Lamentations 3:22-23 NLT) Hallelujah!

Take His Yoke

“Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” -Matthew 11:28-30 NLT When Jesus tells us to put His yoke on, it's a proposition to work together, side-by-side.  He doesn’t want us to report to work for Him everyday like He's a hard task master with a whip.  He invites us to walk with Him and work with Him as He helps us and shows us how to fulfill the Father's great plan for our lives. When we stop trying to force our way and walk in rhythm with Jesus, His yoke will feel easy and light and not cumbersome.

Follow Close

Image
My soul follows close behind You; Your right hand upholds me. — Psalm 63:8 (NKJV) But as for me, the nearness of God is my good; I have made the Lord God my refuge, that I may tell of all Your works. (Psalm 73:28 NASB). It is good for us to follow closely behind the Lord. The less distance the less opportunity for other things to distract us and the less likely we are to take detours away from the path He has us on.
