Something Brand-New

"Forget about what's happened; don't keep going over old history. Be alert, be present. I'm about to do something brand-new. It's bursting out! Don't you see it? There it is! I'm making a road through the desert, rivers in the badlands. " Isaiah 43:18-19 (The Message) Let's not dwell on the past. God is about to do something brand-new. In case you haven't noticed, God is always up to something. Our walk with God is never boring because there is always an adventure on the horizon. Instead of rehearsing the past, start prophesying your glorious future. If you feel like you have been wandering in the desert, God is making a way out. He is making a road that leads to victorious living. If you have been dwelling in a dry wasteland, He is creating a river of living water to give you sustenance and strength. May 2010 be your best year yet. Be blessed and have a HAPPY NEW YEAR ! With Love, Jackie

Looking Forward

No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, Philippians 3:13 (NLT) Now is the time to look forward to what lies ahead. Focus on your goals for 2010. What is God calling you to do? What is He prompting you to stop doing? How will you improve the quality of your relationships and your life? My goal in 2010 is to rise to a higher level in my love walk, to love a little deeper and more passionately. I want to touch every person God brings my way with His compassion and kindness and to ensure that no kind word goes unspoken. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him (1 John 4:16). May we all seek to live in love. With Love, Jackie

Taste & See

Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see— how good God is. Blessed are you who run to him. Psalm 34:8 (The Message) Take a moment to reflect on how good God has been to you. Think about how far He has brought you and all the things He has carried you through. God gave us the strength to endure those days that were absolutely unbearable, the times we no longer cared if we lived or died. God is so good. He is faithful and true. He loves you and everyday, He renews His compassions. Blessed are all who come to Him. With Love, Jackie

The Eyes of the Lord

For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. 1 Peter 3:12 (NIV) If you are a child of God, the eyes of the LORD watch over you. He is there to guide you along on the path before you and to catch you when you stumble. If you make a wrong turn, He lovingly points you in the right direction. Like a mother with her newborn baby, He is attentive to your voice. He cares about everything that concerns you. Look to the Lord to provide all that you need. Amen. With Love, Jackie

By the Hand

Yet I still belong to you; you hold my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny. Psalm 73:23-24 (NLT) We are sons and daughters of the Most High God. He calls us His own. He takes us by the hand and guides us toward a glorious destiny. Keep your hand in His and closely follow the LORD, at all times. In the end, you will not be disappointed. With Love, Jackie

Face to Face

No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. Revelation 22:3-4 (NIV) One day we will see the Lord face to face, but today, close your eyes and imagine. Look at His beautiful face, like the sun shining in all its brilliance (Revelation 1:16). Feel the radiance of His glory warming your entire being. The fire in His eyes burn with compassion. He doesn’t turn up His nose at anyone. It is the stench of sin He doesn’t like. Did you see Him smile as you ran toward Him? His big, strong arms are outstretched, ready to warmly embrace all who come to Him. He takes your chin in His mighty hand and wipes away all your tears with His fingers. The Lord holds you close and gently kisses the top of your head. You experience a flood of peace at the touch of His lips. Throw your arms around His neck and put your head on His shoulder. Listen for His voice like the

Good News

But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:10-11 (NIV) Today we celebrate the birth of our Lord & Savior. The birth of Jesus is good news for all people, for everyone who calls on His name shall receive salvation. May we be filled to overflowing with joy as we worship Christ the Lord with all of our hearts. Merry Christmas! With Love, Jackie

The Greatest Gift of All

Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end. ” Luke 1:30-33 (NKJ) Tomorrow before all the gifts are opened and the meals eaten, let us remember the One whose birth we celebrate, the One whose kingdom will never end. Think about the sacrifice Jesus made in leaving heaven to be born on earth. He came to save us. Rejoice because of Jesus, the greatest gift of all. In Him we have life more abundantly and for all eternity. Praise the Lord! Have a MERRY CHRISTMAS! With Love, Jackie

Wait in Hope

We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. Psalm 33:20-21 (NIV) Wait with the expectation of seeing the LORD work in your situation. Wait for His guidance and wisdom. He is our helper and He will show us the way. When we lean on our own understanding, we work with a limited perspective. However, when we trust in the LORD, the One who sees the whole picture, everything will be all right. With Love, Jackie

Love that Never Fails

Many sorrows come to the wicked but unfailing love surrounds those who trust the Lord. Psalm 32:10 (NLT) Let us trust the Lord because His love for us never fails. And nothing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:39). May we grasp how wide and long and high and deep His love really is. He loved us so much He sent His Son to die on the cross that we might fellowship with Him forever. Hallelujah! With Love, Jackie

A Glimpse of God’s Greatness

The LORD your God, who is among you, is a great and awesome God. Deuteronomy 7:21 (NIV) Everything about GOD is big. Almighty God is so great, so powerful, and yet so gentle and full of compassion. He laid the earth's foundation and told the sea where to stop. He placed the stars in the sky and showed the sun its path. He knows when the wild animals give birth in the forest. He knows our thoughts before we speak a word. He is aware of all that concerns you and He is working it all together for good. I encourage you to acknowledge GOD in all that you do and give Him the praise He is so worthy of. With Love, Jackie

Be Still

"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." Psalm 46:10 (NIV) There are no words to fully describe those moments when we truly connect with God. When something deep inside yearns so bad we desperately reach up through that open window to heaven and lock hands with our Creator. This morning, as I sat in my study writing my thanks to God in a journal, His Holy Spirit came upon me. His still small voice whispered, “Be still and know that I am God.” I laid my pen down and focused on Abba Father. His Holy Spirit totally consumed me. A sweet smelling aroma filled the room. His Spirit lovingly covered my inner being, imparting His love, power and life. He filled me with a profound sense of peace. I felt like a young child as I frolicked in the pure joy of His Presence. His tender touch healed my hurts and restored my weary soul. He silently filled my broken places with His strength and made me whole. I fell to my knees and

God's Great Goodness

How great is the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you. You lavish it on those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world. Psalm 31:19 (NLT) Be confident that you will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living (Psalm 27:13). Out of His goodness, God amply supplies all of our needs in every area of life. When we go to Him for protection, God shelters us in the shadow of His wings. He watches over us and guides us along our path as we journey through life. Great is His goodness! With Love, Jackie

Rejoicing Comes in the Morning

Sing to the LORD, you saints of his; praise his holy name. For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. Psalm 30:4-5 (NIV) Weeping may last through the night but rejoice with the dawn of each new day. Proclaim the unfailing love of the LORD when He wakes you up. The favor of the LORD lasts for a lifetime and He pours out new compassions on you every morning. Glory Hallelujah! With Love, Jackie

Restoration & Support

In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation. 1 Peter 5:10 (NLT) In 2 Corinthians 4:17, the Apostle Paul refers to the troubles we experience as "light and momentary." After a little while, God restores, supports and strengthens us in the challenges we encounter. When we are on shaky ground, he sets our feet on a firm foundation. Love, Jackie

He Cares

Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. 1 Peter 5:7 (NLT) God cares about you. He doesn't want you laboring under heavy burdens. We don't have to worry for one minute. The Word instructs us to cast all our cares on Him. Let us leave our concerns at the altar and live the abundant, peaceful life Jesus provides, free from worry and anxiety. Amen. With Love, Jackie

Don't be Surprised

Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. Instead, be very glad—for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all the world. 1 Peter 4:12-13 (NLT) The Apostle Peter warns us not to be surprised at the fiery trials we go through. Instead, we can rejoice to the extent that we are partners with Christ in His suffering. Likewise, our joy will overflow when His glory is revealed. Love, Jackie

Our Strength & Shield

Blessed be the LORD, Because He has heard the voice of my supplications! The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him. Psalm 28:6-7 (NK J) Let your heart fully trust in the LORD, your strength and your shield. He hears your voice and He comes to help. Rejoice because the LORD, our God is faithful. Love, Jackie

The Lord's Goodness

Yet I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living. Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord. Psalm 27:13-14 (NLT) God is working for your good. Patiently wait upon the Lord and you will see His goodness here in the land of the living. Be strong and courageous and wait for the Lord. Love, Jackie

Count it All Joy

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. James 1:2-4 (NKJ) When all kinds of trials and troubles come our way, we can consider the benefits that it will produce in our lives. As our faith is tested in the pressure cooker of life, we learn to be patient. Once our patience is developed, we may be perfect and complete, not lacking anything. So let us count it all joy when we face challenges, knowing that God will work it all together for good. The eternal benefits will far outweigh the momentary suffering. Love, Jackie

Never Abandoned

God has said, "I will never leave you; I will never abandon you." — Deuteronomy 31:6 So we can be sure when we say, "I will not be afraid, because the Lord is my helper. People can't do anything to me." — Psalm 118:6 Hebrews 13:5-6 (NCV) We know that God never abandons us. His Presence provides peace in every storm. He safely navigates us through the dark and cloudy days. Because we have the Lord's help, we shall not fear. He can nullify the schemes of those who plot against us. During tempestuous times, remember the Lord, your God is with you and He will never fail you. Love, Jackie

Are You Sure?

Faith means being sure of the things we hope for and knowing that something is real even if we do not see it. Hebrews 11:1 (NCV) What are you hoping for? Keep your hope alive by standing on the promises of God and being sure of His power. If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all (Isaiah 7:9). God is able to do exceedingly more than all you are hoping for. Love, Jackie

The Perfect Getaway

I'm asking God for one thing, only one thing: To live with him in his house my whole life long. I'll contemplate his beauty; I'll study at his feet. That's the only quiet, secure place in a noisy world, The perfect getaway, far from the buzz of traffic. Psalm 27:4-5 (The Message) Dwell with God each moment of every day. His shelter is the only secure place. When troubles come, He will keep you safe. In His Presence, you will find protection and peace - the perfect getaway. Behold His beauty and be captivated by His love. Love, Jackie

Remain Confident

The Lord is my light and my salvation— so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble? When evil people come to devour me, when my enemies and foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if I am attacked, I will remain confident. Psalm 27:1-3 (NLT) Do not let your heart be afraid. No matter what attacks may come, remain confident that the Lord will provide what you need to make it thru. He will strengthen you and give you the victory. In the dark of the night, the Lord is your light and your strong fortress. Amen. Love, Jackie

He Intercedes for Us

but because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. Hebrews 7:24-25 (NIV) The devil accuses us before God day and night (Revelation 12:10), but we have Jesus, our high priest, who saves us and intercedes to the Father on our behalf. Praise the Lord! Love, Jackie

Keep in Step

Examine me, God, from head to foot, order your battery of tests. Make sure I'm fit inside and out So I never lose sight of your love, But keep in step with you, never missing a beat. Psalm 26:2-3 (The Message) Keep in step with God. When He wants to lead you somewhere, follow Him. When He says be still, patiently wait. Never lose sight of God's unfailing love whether you are on the move or standing still. The path He chooses for us, is exactly where we ought to be. Love, Jackie

All Day Long

Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. Psalm 25:4-5 (NIV) Keep your hope in God all day long. Look to the LORD and He will guide you along on the path that leads to truth and freedom. He will show you His ways and teach you how to walk in His footsteps each day. Love, Jackie

He Listens

I am praying to you because I know you will answer, O God. Bend down and listen as I pray. Show me your unfailing love in wonderful ways. By your mighty power you rescue those who seek refuge from their enemies. Psalm 17-6-7 (NLT) Call on God and He will hear your cry. God shows His unfailing love in the way He attentively listens to our pleas. Be patient. He cares and He will answer. Love, Jackie

Be Filled with Joy

I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done. I will be filled with joy because of you. I will sing praises to your name, O Most High. Psalm 9:1-2 (NLT) Sing praises to the Lord and tell others about all the wonderful things He has done in your life. Be filled with joy because of the awesome privilege we have to know and serve the Lord Most High. Amen. Love, Jackie

He Stands with You

The first time I was brought before the judge, no one came with me. Everyone abandoned me. May it not be counted against them. But the Lord stood with me and gave me strength so that I might preach the Good News in its entirety for all the Gentiles to hear. And he rescued me from certain death. Yes, and the Lord will deliver me from every evil attack and will bring me safely into his heavenly Kingdom. All glory to God forever and ever! Amen. 2 Timothy 4:16-18 (NLT) When it seems like you have been abandoned by all, the Lord stands with you. He gives you strength and delivers you from every evil attack. When you get that doctor's report, remember, the Lord stands with you. In each adversity, the Lord is by your side. He never leaves you or forsakes you. Amen. Love, Jackie

Pursue Righteousness

But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 1 Timothy 6:11-12 (NIV) As men and women of God, let us heed the words the Apostle Paul shared with Timothy. He warned him to stay away from the love of money and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love endurance and gentleness. As we do these things we will win the good fight of faith and gain the prize of an abundant life here on earth and eternal life in heaven. Love, Jackie

Do What You Know

Continue to have faith and do what you know is right. Some people have rejected this, and their faith has been shipwrecked. 1 Timothy 1:19 (NCV) Continue to do what you know is the right thing to do and your faith will not end up being shipwrecked. Keep the faith and stay on the course given to you from above. Love, Jackie

Comfort & Strength

Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal comfort and a wonderful hope, comfort you and strengthen you in every good thing you do and say. 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 (NLT) Let us find strength in the wonderful love God has shown to us to do good deeds and speak kind, positive words to others. And may we comfort those who are troubled with the same comfort we have received from God (2 Corinthians 1:4). Love, Jackie

Stay Alert

For you are all children of the light and of the day; we don’t belong to darkness and night. So be on your guard, not asleep like the others. Stay alert and be clearheaded. Night is the time when people sleep and drinkers get drunk. But let us who live in the light be clearheaded, protected by the armor of faith and love, and wearing as our helmet the confidence of our salvation. 1 Thessalonians 5:5-8 (NLT) Keep your eyes open and stay alert so you will not fall prey to any of Satan's schemes. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy (John 10:10) and he is always looking for someone to devour. Walk as children of the light, exercising faith and love and holding onto the hope of salvation. Love, Jackie

His Own Great Power

God will strengthen you with his own great power so that you will not give up when troubles come, but you will be patient. And you will joyfully give thanks to the Father who has made you able to have a share in all that he has prepared for his people in the kingdom of light. Colossians 1:11-12 (NCV) Almighty God strengthens us with His own great power to help us patiently endure the troubles that come our way. This is the same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Surely, His divine power working in us will enable us to do all that we are called to. Be confident that victory is yours with God's all-surpassing power at work in you. Love, Jackie

Depression Days are Over

Thanksgivings will pour out of the windows; laughter will spill through the doors. Things will get better and better. Depression days are over. They'll thrive, they'll flourish. The days of contempt will be over. Jeremiah 30:18 (The Message) I pray that your thanksgivings to God be so many that they pour out of your windows, not just today, but everyday. See to it that laughter continually spill through your doors. Declare that the days of depression are over and things will get better and better for you and your household. The mirrors in your home shall reflect nothing but the joy in your heart. May you thrive and flourish in your body, soul and spirit. I love you all with the love of Christ Jesus. Have a Blessed Thanksgiving Day! Amen. Love and Peace to you, Jackie

Watch Your Words

When you talk, do not say harmful things, but say what people need—words that will help others become stronger. Then what you say will do good to those who listen to you. Ephesians 4:29 (NCV) Obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes—these are not for you. Instead, let there be thankfulness to God (Ephesians 5:4, NLT). As you spend time with family and friends remember to speak encouraging words that will build them up and make them stronger. May the words you speak give honor and glory to God. Amen. Love, Jackie

All He Has Done

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 (NLT) Remember to thank God for all He has done in your life. Think about how far He has brought you and all the mess He has seen you through. God is a good God and He is worthy of all our praise. When we take our eyes off of what we don't have and turn our attention to all God has provided, our hearts and minds will be filled with the precious peace of God. Love, Jackie

Serve One Another

For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love. Galatians 5:13 (NLT) The Lord Jesus took on the very nature of a servant (Philippians 2:7). Let us be eager to serve others. Galatians 6:10 (NCV) says, " Whenever we have the opportunity to help anyone, we should do it. " We are blessed to be a blessing, so see what kind act you can pass on today and touch the world with the love of God. Love, Jackie

Reap a Harvest of Blessing

Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Galatians 6:7-9 (NLT) Never get tired of doing what is good. Live to please the Spirit and you will reap many blessings. The Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23, NLT). Instead of following the desires of your sinful nature, yield to the Holy Spirit who is at work in you. Love, Jackie

Test Yourself

Test yourselves to make sure you are solid in the faith. Don't drift along taking everything for granted. Give yourselves regular checkups. You need firsthand evidence, not mere hearsay, that Jesus Christ is in you. Test it out. If you fail the test, do something about it . 1 Corinthians 13:5-6 (The Message ) The Apostle Paul instructs believers to make sure we are solid in the faith. Are you walking in love? In John 13:35, Jesus said, " By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. " We are also called to love God with all our hearts and to love are neighbors as we love ourselves. Are you holding onto any grudges? Colossians 3:13 says, " Forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. " Are you double-minded and unstable? James 1:6 says, those who doubt are like the waves of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. We must believe God and His Word. Give yourself a check up. Love, Jacki

No Rest?

When we arrived in Macedonia, there was no rest for us. We faced conflict from every direction, with battles on the outside and fear on the inside. But God, who encourages those who are discouraged, encouraged us by the arrival of Titus. 2 Corinthians 7:5-6 (NLT) Are you faced with conflict from every direction? If battles rage around you and your heart is fearful, be steadfast. I reassure you, God comforts the downcast. He is the God of all comfort and the Father of compassion (2 Corinthians 1:3). He lovingly encourages the discouraged. God defends those who are weak. He is your strength and your support. Fall into the arms of God and He will give you rest. Love, Jackie

A Light Shines

Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for the gracious and compassionate and righteous man. Good will come to him who is generous and lends freely, who conducts his affairs with justice. Surely he will never be shaken; a righteous man will be remembered forever. He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD. His heart is secure, he will have no fear; in the end he will look in triumph on his foes. Psalm 112:4-8 (NIV) In our darkest days, we have the light of God showing us the way through. Have no fear of bad news. Let God's Word be the final authority in your life. Keep trusting in the LORD and you will be triumphant over those who are against you. Praise the LORD. Love, Jackie

Qualified by God

We are confident of all this because of our great trust in God through Christ. It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God. 2 Corinthians 3:4-5 (NLT) Because we trust in God and in the Lord Jesus Christ, we can be fully confident of God's ability to work in us and through us. Let us not think we can accomplish anything of value in our own strength. God enables us to do all that He has purposed for us and only that will last. Know that He who began a good work in you is faithful to complete it (Philippians 1:6). Amen. Love, Jackie

Be on Guard

Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong. And do everything with love. 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 (NLT) Be on guard and alert at all times because our enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8). We must be like a sentry, guarding our hearts and minds with wisdom. To survive the battles we need to be strong and stand firm in the faith, knowing that God will lead us to victory. Amen. Love, Jackie

Nothing without Love

If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:2 (NLT) Jesus instructs us to love our neighbors as we love ourselves (Mark 12:31). Love does not demand its own way, instead it serves others. Love keeps no record of wrongs. Forget the injustices and focus on love. Faith, hope and love abide, but the greatest of these is love. May we share the love of God to all who come our way. Love, Jackie

Clothed with Patience?

God has chosen you and made you his holy people. He loves you. So you should always clothe yourselves with mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Colossians 3:12 (NCV) Yesterday, in my haste to leave the house, I forgot to put on patience. According to my schedule, I could run some errands and head for home in 30 minutes. But God had a different timetable. While stuck in traffic on Interstate 15 for more than 30 minutes, I kept looking at my watch and wondering when traffic was going to start moving. If I had remembered to clothe myself in patience, I would have used that time to pray for those involved in the accident and their families. I would have thanked God for keeping me and my family safe, and my spirit would have been full of peace. Once I made it to a bookstore, I ran into a dear friend I hadn't seen in months. Then, I realized if things had flowed according to my schedule, I would have missed this blessing. Next time you're in a jam, remember you are e

Run to Win

Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win! All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. 1 Corinthians 9:24-25 (NLT) Let us run with endurance the race God has set before us (Hebrews 12:1). When the hurdles seem too high, remember we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13). This race is not one of speed, but of perseverance. Those who keep the faith until they cross the finish line win. Keep pressing on toward the heavenly prize of spending eternity in the presence of Almighty God, where there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain (Revelation 21:4). Glory hallelujah! Love, Jackie

Since the World Began

For since the world began, no ear has heard, and no eye has seen a God like you, who works for those who wait for him! Isaiah 64:4 (NLT) Since the world began, no one has seen a God besides our heavenly Father, who works for those who wait upon Him. Our great God gives freedom to the captive. He lifts the heads of those who are bowed down. He heals the sick and gives strength to the weak. Only our mighty God restores our souls and sheds light on those in darkness. In place of death, He gives us eternal life. Praise his holy name. Love, Jackie

Held by His Love

The minute I said, "I'm slipping, I'm falling," your love, God, took hold and held me fast. When I was upset and beside myself, you calmed me down and cheered me up. Psalm 94:18-19 (The Message) If we call on the LORD when it feels like we are about to fall, His love will hold us up. If we go to God when we are upset, He will bring peace to our souls and fill us with His joy. Love, Jackie

Be Transformed

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans 12:2 (NLT) As we renew our minds with the Word of God, He transforms us into a new person from the inside out. Instead of being caught up in the customs of this dark world, we stand out as children of the light, who shine with the love and joy of our heavenly Father. Instead of being worried and stressed out like the world, our hearts will be full of peace as we patiently wait for God to show us His good, pleasing and perfect will. Love, Jackie

Declare His Lovingkindness

It is good to give thanks to the LORD, And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning, And Your faithfulness every night, Psalm 92:1-2 (NKJ) Give thanks to the LORD and sing praises to His name. He is worthy of all praise and honor. Declare His lovingkindness for waking you up this morning. Proclaim His faithfulness at night for getting you through another day. Love, Jackie

All for Good

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28 (NKJ) No matter what we go through in this life, when we love God with all of our heart, mind, soul and strength and stay focused on fulfilling His purpose, He will work all things together for good. All of our experiences come together piece by piece and fit into God's master plan. Sometimes we wonder "why?" At those times we must learn to trust our heavenly Father and know that it will all come together for good. Love, Jackie

The Best of Care

"If you'll hold on to me for dear life," says God, "I'll get you out of any trouble. I'll give you the best of care if you'll only get to know and trust me. Call me and I'll answer, be at your side in bad times; I'll rescue you, then throw you a party. I'll give you a long life, give you a long drink of salvation!" Psalm 91:14-16 (The Message) Hold on to God. In His mighty hands, we are in the best of care. He is beside us in good times and bad. He will deliver us from all of our troubles. Get to know God and trust Him. He will honor you with a long, satisfying life and show you His salvation. Love, Jackie

Keep Pressing On

No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. Philippians 3:13-14 (NLT) Forget the past and focus on what lies ahead. When the winds of adversity hit you in the face and the stormy waters beat against your back, keep pressing on. When you feel the flames from the furnace of affliction, press on. Look to the future. God has given us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57). Love, Jackie

Live in His Shelter

Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. Psalm 91:1-4 (NLT) May we live in the shelter of the Most High God and rest in His shadow. He alone, is our place of safety. As we abide in Him, He rescues us from the snares of the enemy and protects us from deadly diseases. Almighty God covers us and gives us shelter. What a loving Father we have in the Most High God. Let us not take off on our own, like the prodigal son, but dwell with Him all our days. Love, Jackie

Rejoice, In Spite of ...

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. Romans 5:3-5 (NLT) Let us rejoice in spite of the things we suffer because the challenges we go through in this life teach us how to endure, they strengthen our character and produce hope. And our hope will not be disappointed because God loves us and He leads us to a triumphant victory. Love, Jackie

Live by Trusting in Him

The Good News shows how God makes people right with himself—that it begins and ends with faith. As the Scripture says, "But those who are right with God will live by trusting in him." Romans 1:17 (NCV) Don't believe the lies that Satan puts in front of your eyes or that you hear with your ears. Trust the One you cannot see, the One who cherishes you and gives you new compassions every morning. Trust the One who came that we may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance to the full, till it overflows (John 10:10 Amp). Live a life of peace and joy knowing that God is with you and He is working for your good. Love, Jackie

Keep up Your Courage

We took such a violent battering from the storm that the next day they began to throw the cargo overboard. On the third day, they threw the ship's tackle overboard with their own hands. When neither sun nor stars appeared for many days and the storm continued raging, we finally gave up all hope of being saved. Acts 27:18-20 (NIV) When the storm continues to rage and you cannot see a glimmer or light, do not give up. Keep your hope alive, the storm will pass. Trust God and He will come to your rescue. Let us heed the words the Apostle Paul spoke to those on the ship with him, " Keep up your courage, for I have faith in God... " (Acts 27:25). Love, Jackie

Be a Blessing

The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed; those who help others are helped. Proverbs 11:25 (The Message) Since we are to love our neighbors as we love ourselves, let us tend to the needs of others, providing help whenever possible. Feed the hungry, give a drink to those who thirst and speak a word of encouragement to the depressed. God has blessed us so we can be a blessing to others. Amen. Love, Jackie

The Most Important Thing

I don't care about my own life. The most important thing is that I complete my mission, the work that the Lord Jesus gave me—to tell people the Good News about God's grace. Acts 20:24 (NCV) We must take our eyes off of ourselves because it's not about us. It's all about Him, our wonderful Creator. The most important thing is for us to complete the mission that He has given each one of us. Everyone is created with a divine purpose. There is a reason why God knit you together in your mother's womb and put the breath of life in you. Let us be like the Apostle Paul and fight the good fight, keep the faith and complete our God-given mission. Love, Jackie

In the Midnight Hour

But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed. Acts 16:25-26 (NKJ) Paul and Silas had their clothes torn off and were beaten with rods, then they were thrown in prison. As they sat in prison with their feet in stocks they prayed and sung hymns to God. What an awesome testimony! They didn't let their outer circumstances cause them to lose their inner joy or their faith in God. When darkness descends upon you and it appears that you have been beaten by your enemies, trust God and praise Him. In the midst of your darkest days, continue to pray and sing songs of praise until the darkness around you is shaken. Love, Jackie

In His Image

Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” Genesis 1:26 (NKJ ) We are made in the image and likeness of God. Let us mirror His loving and forgiving nature as humility fills each beat of our hearts. May we reflect His light and truth as we duplicate His strength and power in our lives. If someone stabs us in the back, let us bleed with the compassion of Christ. When others look at you, let them see the likeness of God. Love, Jackie

The Chains Fell Off

The night before Herod was to bring him to trial, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and sentries stood guard at the entrance. Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him up. "Quick, get up!" he said, and the chains fell off Peter's wrists. Acts 12:6-7 (NIV) Acts 12:5 says the church was earnestly praying to God for Peter. As a result of this constant prayer, God sent an angel to rescue Peter and the chains fell of Peter's wrists. What do you need to be freed from today? Ask the body of believers around you to pray to God on your behalf. Who can you intercede for in prayer? The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective (James 5:16). Love, Jackie

The Future You Hope For

"I know what I'm doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for. When you call on me, when you come and pray to me, I'll listen." Jeremiah 29:11-12 (The Message) Keep believing God for the future you want. Delight yourself in Him and He will give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4). When we go to God, He does not abandon us. When we call, He listens. Thank God for always taking care of you. Amen. Love, Jackie

Crowned with Glory & Honor

When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. Psalm 8:3-5 (NKJ) The wonderful Creator of heaven and earth, the moon and the stars, has you on His mind. He has crowned you with glory and honor. He calls you His child. He has given you dominion over the works of His hands and put all things under your feet (Psalm 8:6). Rise up, child of God and praise His holy name! Love, Jackie

Not to be Shaken

I have set the LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure, Psalm 16:8-9 (NIV) Set the LORD before you and look to Him in every situation. Rest secure and do not be shaken. Hold on to the LORD and He will sustain you. Let your heart be glad and your tongue sing His praises. Love, Jackie

All I Need

No, the Lord is all I need. He takes care of me. My share in life has been pleasant; my part has been beautiful. I praise the Lord because he advises me. Even at night, I feel his leading. Psalm 16:5-7 (NCV) The Lord is all we need. He is Jehovah Jireh, the One who provides all our needs. Praise the Lord, who lovingly takes care of His people. Love, Jackie

The Best Pathway

The LORD says, "I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you. Psalm 32:8 (NLT) Only our Creator knows the best pathway for our lives, from beginning to end. We have to follow His guidance and take each step in faith, so He can bring us into the wonderful, fruitful and abundant place He has for us. We may have to tread through some dark places, but He will turn the darkness into light and make the rough places smooth (Isaiah 42:16). Amen. Love, Jackie

Pushed to my Knees

Because of the extravagance of those revelations, and so I wouldn't get a big head, I was given the gift of a handicap to keep me in constant touch with my limitations. Satan's angel did his best to get me down; what he in fact did was push me to my knees. No danger then of walking around high and mighty! 2 Corinthians 12:7 (The Message) When the enemy tries to get you down, fall to your knees and look up to the heavenly Father. His strength is made perfect in our weaknesses. Love, Jackie

Deeply at Peace

"I've told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I've conquered the world." John 16:33 (The Message) We are unshakable when we trust in the Lord. Even though we experience difficulties in this world, we can remain deeply at peace because we know the Lord will bring us through. Jesus has already conquered the world. Stick with Him and you shall overcome. Love, Jackie

The Friend

"I'm telling you these things while I'm still living with you. The Friend, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send at my request, will make everything plain to you. He will remind you of all the things I have told you. I'm leaving you well and whole. That's my parting gift to you. Peace. I don't leave you the way you're used to being left—feeling abandoned, bereft. So don't be upset. Don't be distraught. John 14:25-27 (The Message) Before going back to the Father, Jesus told His believer's not to be troubled or afraid. He didn't abandon us, as orphans. The Father sent the Holy Spirit to be with us. He is our Friend, Counselor and Helper. He is the Spirit of truth, who dwells in us and teaches us everything. We have peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Love, Jackie

Until the Storm is Over

Be merciful and gracious to me, O God, be merciful and gracious to me, for my soul takes refuge and finds shelter and confidence in You; yes, in the shadow of Your wings will I take refuge and be confident until calamities and destructive storms are passed. Psalm 57:1 (Amp) Take refuge in the shadow of His wings, until the storms have passed. In this world we will have trouble, but we can stand confident in Almighty God, our shelter and strong tower. We ensure our safety when we stay in Him. May the mercy and grace of the LORD be upon you today and always. Love, Jackie

In Perfect Peace

You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You. Isaiah 26:3 (KJ V) When we keep our minds upon the LORD instead of our challenges, our trust and confidence in Him is strengthened. The LORD keeps us in perfect peace as we consistently look to Him as our only source. Depend on the LORD and your mind and heart will be completely peaceful in the midst of any storm. Love, Jackie

The Light of Life

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life." John 8:12 (NKJ ) Are you stumbling around in darkness and confusion? Follow Jesus and have the light that gives life. The LORD has called you out of darkness to live in His wonderful light (1 Peter 2:9). Rejoice in His light. Let it shine through you and brighten the dark world around you. Amen. Love, Jackie

Honor the LORD

"But now the LORD says: '... for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed.' " 1 Samuel 2:30 (NKJ) When we honor the LORD, He occupies first place in our heart and His Word is the final authority in our lives. When we honor God, we depend on Him as our only source and we acknowledge that all we have belongs to Him, our finances, our children, our material possessions, etc. When we honor the LORD, He will honor us with supernatural blessings. He will empower us to do what we cannot do in our own strength. Give praise and honor to the LORD. Love, Jackie

Be Like Him

You are God's children whom he loves, so try to be like him. Live a life of love just as Christ loved us and gave himself for us as a sweet-smelling offering and sacrifice to God. Ephesians 5:1-2 (NCV) As those who are dearly loved by God, let us live a life of love. Instead of keeping a record of the wrongs done to us, may we forgive and let go of all offenses. Let us love not only with words but with our actions, doing whatever we can to bless others. Then we will be more like our heavenly Father. Amen. Love, Jackie

Actively Seeking Worshipers

"The time is coming when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, and that time is here already. You see, the Father too is actively seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth." John 4:23-24 (NCV) Our heavenly Father actively seeks those who worship Him. Let us simply worship God with all our hearts, minds and souls. May we be honest and open and lay all our "stuff" out before our God. Let there be no pretense or sham. He is our Creator and He knows us inside and out. Worship Him. Love, Jackie

Your Well-Being is His Delight

May those who delight in my vindication shout for joy and gladness; may they always say, "The LORD be exalted, who delights in the well-being of his servant." Psalm 35:27 (NIV) The LORD delights in your well-being. He wants you to prosper as your soul prospers and is in good health. He blesses us with inner peace and joy. The LORD provides for all our needs and delivers us from all our troubles. Praise the LORD, who always leads us in triumph in Christ (2 Corinthians 2:14). Love, Jackie

Count Your Blessings

From his abundance we have all received one gracious blessing after another. For the law was given through Moses, but God's unfailing love and faithfulness came through Jesus Christ. John 1:16-17 (NLT) Let us count our blessings this morning. Instead of looking at what you don't have, focus on what you do have. You are alive! God gave you the strength to get up out of bed this morning. You have the wonderful gift of eyesight. Even more significant, we have the unfailing love of God and His faithfulness being poured upon us. Praise the LORD! Love, Jackie

He Will Answer

"Thus says the LORD who made it, the LORD who formed it to establish it (the LORD is His name): 'Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.' Jeremiah 33:2-3 (NKJ) When you don't know what to do, call upon the LORD, who made the earth and established it. He will answer you and show you great and mighty things. While we may not know the right course of action, God in His wisdom will point us in the right direction. Love, Jackie

Trust Him

Depend on the LORD; trust him, and he will take care of you. Psalm 37:5 (NCV) Fully rely on the LORD. Leave all your concerns and anxious thoughts in His hands. He is faithful and He will take care of you. Completely trust in the LORD and you will experience His perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. Amen. Love, Jackie

Don't Give In

Then, accompanied by the disciples, Jesus left the upstairs room and went as usual to the Mount of Olives. There he told them, "Pray that you will not give in to temptation." Luke 22:39-40 (NLT) Don't be like the disciples who fell asleep, instead of praying for strength against temptation (Luke 22:45). Jesus was about to be arrested and a time of great testing was coming upon them. Let us be like Jesus and always pray, that we might be able to stand against the devil's schemes and not be deceived. When we submit our will to God and resist the devil, he will flee (James 4:7). Pray and praise God for the victory we have in Jesus. Love, Jackie

Go & Celebrate

And Nehemiah continued, "Go and celebrate with a feast of rich foods and sweet drinks, and share gifts of food with people who have nothing prepared. This is a sacred day before our Lord. Don't be dejected and sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength!" Nehemiah 8:10 (NLT) May your cup overflow with the joy of the Lord and strength will be yours. Let us celebrate this day and every day we are blessed to be alive. Praise the Lord! Love, Jackie

He Climbed a Sycamore Tree

He wanted to see who Jesus was, but he was not able because he was too short to see above the crowd. He ran ahead to a place where Jesus would come, and he climbed a sycamore tree so he could see him. When Jesus came to that place, he looked up and said to him, "Zacchaeus, hurry up and come down! I must stay at your house today." Zacchaeus came down quickly and welcomed him gladly. Luke 19:3-6 (NCV) Zacchaeus climbed a sycamore tree so he could see Jesus. We also need to get a good view of our Lord and Savior. Hebrews 12:2 tells us to fix our eyes on Jesus. Instead of looking at our circumstances, let us rise above the muck and mire of this world and stay focused on following Jesus. Instead of viewing the negative news reports, let us cast our eyes on the One who brings good news for all people. Love, Jackie

Never Lose Hope

"... there was a widow who kept coming to this judge, saying, 'Give me my rights against my enemy.' For a while the judge refused to help her. But afterwards, he thought to himself, 'Even though I don't respect God or care about people, I will see that she gets her rights. Otherwise she will continue to bother me until I am worn out." Luke 18:3-5 (NCV) Jesus told the story of the persistent widow to teach His followers that they should always pray and never lose hope (Luke 18:1, NCV). Jesus went on to say, God will ALWAYS give what is right to His people who cry to Him night and day, and He will not be slow to answer them. God will answer his people quickly (Luke 18:6-7, NCV). Glory hallelujah!!! Cry out to God my brothers and sisters. Cry out to Him night and day and never lose hope. Amen. Love, Jackie

Be Completely Humble

"For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted." Luke 14:11 (NIV) In Ephesians 4:2, the Apostle Paul instructs us to be completely humble and gentle. In humility, let us put the needs of others before our own and serve those around us the way Jesus came to serve. When we humble ourselves before the Lord, He will lift us up at the right time (James 4:10). Amen. Love, Jackie

Accomplish Your Purpose

Jesus replied, "Go tell that fox that I will keep casting out demons and healing people today and tomorrow; and the third day I will accomplish my purpose." Luke 13:32 (NLT) Even when faced with the news that Herod wanted to kill Him, Jesus remained focused on completing His mission. Let us stay focused on accomplishing the purposes for which God created us. May we fight the good fight of faith and complete the course God has laid before each one of us. Love, Jackie

You are Valuable

"What is the price of five sparrows — two copper coins? Yet God does not forget a single one of them. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows." Luke 12:6-7 (NLT) God has not forgotten about you. He knows how many hairs you have on your head. Do not fear. God shall supply all that you need in every area of life, according to His riches and glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Do not be afraid of anything the enemy brings your way. God in you is greater than the one who is in the world. Remember: You are valuable to God; You are His treasured possession. Love, Jackie

Are You Ready to Follow?

Then another said, "I'm ready to follow you, Master, but first excuse me while I get things straightened out at home." Jesus said, "No procrastination. No backward looks. You can't put God's kingdom off till tomorrow. Seize the day." Luke 9:61-62 (The Message) After you have tasted of God's heavenly kingdom, there is no looking back. Once you have known the goodness of God and experienced His marvelous grace, the world has nothing to offer. Today is the day to follow the Master and serve His kingdom. Don't procrastinate. Love, Jackie

Let It Go Deep

The seed that fell on rock is like those who hear God's teaching and accept it gladly, but they don't allow the teaching to go deep into their lives. They believe for a while, but when trouble comes, they give up. Luke 8:13 (NCV) Don't be one of those who give up in times of trouble. Hide the Word of God in your heart, let it take root and go deep. The Word is a lamp to your feet and it lights the path which shows you the way to go (Psalm 119:105). Experience a transformed life by renewing your mind with the Word of God (Romans 12:2). Amen. Love, Jackie

Pray About Everything

Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 (NLT) No matter is too insignificant to lift up to God in prayer. First Peter 5:7 tells us to cast all our cares on God. After you have released your concerns and requests to God, thank Him for all He has done in your life. This is the way to possess the peace of God. Amen. Love, Jackie

What are You Saying?

"A good tree can't produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can't produce good fruit. A tree is identified by its fruit. Figs are never gathered from thornbushes, and grapes are not picked from bramble bushes. A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart." Luke 6:43-45 (NLT) Ephesians 4:29 says, do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. Let the love of God fill your heart and you will speak the truth in love and kindness and your words will produce good fruit in your life. Love, Jackie

Burdened & Battered

Unrolling the scroll, he found the place where it was written, God's Spirit is on me; he's chosen me to preach the Message of good news to the poor, Sent me to announce pardon to prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind, To set the burdened and battered free, to announce, "This is God's year to act!" Luke 4:17-19 (The Message) Jesus came to this earth to set those who are burdened and battered free. He said, " Come to me all of you who are tired and have heavy loads, and I will give you rest, " (Matthew 11:28, NCV). If you are burdened and battered, the good news is that you can be set free from the load you are lugging around by giving it all to Jesus. Let go of your load and lay your head on the shoulder of the Savior. And you will find rest for your souls (Matthew 11:29, NIV). Now is the time to walk in the freedom of the Lord. Love, Jackie

Our Strong Champion

Pushed to the wall, I called to God ; from the wide open spaces, he answered. God 's now at my side and I'm not afraid; who would dare lay a hand on me? God 's my strong champion; I flick off my enemies like flies. Far better to take refuge in God than trust in people ; Psalm 118:5-8 (The Message) It is better to take refuge in God than to depend on man. When circumstances push you up against a wall, call upon God. Our God is always with us and He leads us into victory. Praise the LORD! Love, Jackie

Nothing is Impossible

"How will this be," Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?" The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be barren is in her sixth month. For nothing is impossible with God." Luke 1:34-37 (NIV) With God, nothing is impossible. He makes that which is barren fruitful. God brings that which is dead back to life. He gives sight to the blind. If something in your life is not producing any fruit, put it in the hands of the living God. As we abide in the Lord, the impossible becomes possible. Love, Jackie

"My Soul is Overwhelmed"

He took Peter, James and John along with him, and he began to be deeply distressed and troubled. "My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death," he said to them. "Stay here and keep watch." Going a little farther, he fell to the ground and prayed that if possible the hour might pass from him. "Abba Father," he said, "everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will." Mark 14:33-36 (NIV) When you are deeply distressed and troubled, when you are so overwhelmed you could just lay down and die, follow the example of Jesus and go to our heavenly Father in prayer. Do not try to force your own will, but surrender to God's will for your life. Amen. Love, Jackie

Better Than All Offerings

The religion scholar said, "A wonderful answer, Teacher! So lucid and accurate - that God is one and there is no other. And loving him with all passion and intelligence and energy, and loving others as well as you love yourself. Why, that's better than all offerings and sacrifices put together!" Mark 12:32-33 (The Message) Passionately loving God with all your mind and energy is better than anything else you can offer to God. He does not delight in sacrifice, but in a compassionate heart where His love can bloom. Whatever we do, let it be done with a deep love for God and with unconditional love for others. Love, Jackie

All Things are Possible

"If you can?" said Jesus. "Everything is possible for him who believes." Immediately the boy's father exclaimed, "I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!" Mark 9:23-24 (NIV) Jesus said, " All things are possible for him who believes ." He didn't say some things are possible, but all . Whenever the world tells us we "can't" we must believe we can. With God on our side, the impossible becomes the possible. Know that God is able and do not doubt. Amen. Love, Jackie

Pay No Attention

While Jesus was still speaking, some people came from the house of the synagogue leader. They said, "Your daughter is dead. There is no need to bother the teacher anymore." But Jesus paid no attention to what they said. He told the synagogue leader, "Don't be afraid; just believe." Mark 5:35-36 (NCV) When people speak words that are contrary to the Word of God, it is best to pay them no attention and keep walking with the Lord by faith. Jairus, a leader of the synagogue, ignored the negative report that had been given to him and kept believing. When Jesus spoke the Word his daughter was brought back to life (Mark 5:41-42). I say to you, "Don't be afraid; just believe. God still works miracles" Love, Jackie

A Steadfast Spirit

"Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me by Your generous Spirit." Psalm 51:10-12 (NKJ) "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew the right spirit in me." That is the cry of my heart this morning." When we have the right spirit, we are loving, above all else. We are kind, gentle and forgiving. Too often, we are tarnished by the world and our spirits become critical, judgmental and bitter. We need to return to the cross everyday, lay our burdens down and let God cleanse us from our sins. Amen. Love, Jackie

Friend of God

So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God. Romans 5:11 (NLT) You are no stranger to God. His eyes saw your unformed body. He has been with you since the day He knit you together in your mother's womb. He is the friend who sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24). Draw near to God and He will draw even closer to you. Love, Jackie

Never Lose Sight

Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we're in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now he's there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. Hebrews 12:2 (The Message) Keep your eyes on Jesus. Don't let the things of this world distract you. Cast off anything that hinders you from running your race. You may have to put up with a lot, but keep running. Never lose sight of the finish: a glorious and eternal life in the Presence of Almighty God, Himself. Love, Jackie

Always at the Top

The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. Deuteronomy 28:13 (NIV) One of the many blessings that God promises to those who obey His commands is that we will always be at the top. Choose to fully obey the LORD our God and His blessings shall come upon you and overtake you ( Deuteronomy 28:2, NKJ ). You will be blessed in the city and in the country. Your children will be blessed. You will be blessed when you come in and when you go out. Choose this day, whom you will serve. God only wants the best for you. He has called us to mountaintop living. Buried Treasure

"Then he who who had received the one talent came. 'Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.' " Matthew 25:24 (NKJ) In the parable of the talents, Jesus tells the story about a master who before going on a long journey, gave his servants talents, each according to his own ability. The one he gave five talents made another five talents and the one who received two made two more talents. Upon the master's return, these two heard the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant." The one who received the one talent buried it in the ground. The master called him a wicked and lazy servant. God has given us financial resources that we are to manage as good stewards. However, He has also given us talents, and skills, each according to our own ability, that we are to expend for the glory of

Be Confident

My heart is confident in you, O God; no wonder I can sing your praises with all my heart! Wake up, lyre and harp! I will wake the dawn with my song. I will thank you, LORD, among all the people. I will sing your praises among the nations. For your unfailing love is higher than the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. Psalm 108:1-4 (NLT) Let your heart be confident in God. When we completely trust in the LORD, we will sing His praises and thanksgiving will continually be on our lips. Rely on God for His love never fails and there is no end to His faithfulness. Sing to the LORD, your God. Love, Jackie

Seek His Wisdom

Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Don't be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the LORD and turn away from evil. Proverbs 3:5-7 (NLT) Instead of being impressed with what you think you know, seek the wisdom of God. Bless the the man who finds wisdom and gains understanding. Proverbs 8:35 says whoever finds wisdom finds life and receives favor from the LORD. Seek God's will in all you do and He is faithful to show you the way. Love, Jackie

Beginning to Sink?

Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord, save me!" Matthew 14:29 (NIV) When we take our eyes off of the Lord and look at the circumstances around us, we may end up sinking into a pool of troubled waters, like Peter. Stay focused on Jesus, His power, and His strength. He will lead you through any difficulty. Praise the Lord! Love, Jackie

Continue to Love

My beloved friends, let us continue to love each other since love comes from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and experiences a relationship with God. The person who refuses to love doesn't know the first thing about God, because God is love - so you can't know him if you don't love. This is how God showed his love for us: God sent his only Son into the world so we might live through him. 1 John 4:7-9 (The Message) Jesus said the two greatest commandments is to love the Lord your God and to love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:37-39). In 1 Corinthians 13:13, the Apostle Paul declares that love is the greatest. God modeled the sacrificial love we are to have when He sent His Son as a sacrifice to pay the price for our sins. When spouses, children, relatives, friends and co-workers don't live up to your expectations, continue to show them unconditional love, the same unfailing love God shows us when we miss the mark. Peter says, " above all, love each oth

Wait for Hope to Appear

When life is heavy and hard to take, go off by yourself. Enter the silence. Bow in prayer. Don't ask questions: Wait for hope to appear. Don't run from trouble. Take it full-face. The "worst" is never the worst. Why? Because the Master won't ever walk out and fail to return. If he works severely, he also works tenderly. His stockpiles of loyal love are immense. He takes no pleasure in making life hard, in throwing roadblocks in the way: Lamentations 3:28-33 (The Message) In John 16:33 (NIV), Jesus said, "In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." When life is heavy and hard, don't let it get you down. In Jesus, we have overcome. When trouble comes, be still and sit in silence, seek God in prayer and renew your hope in the loyal love of God. Love, Jackie

Do You Believe?

As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, calling out, "Have mercy on us, Son of David!" When he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?" "Yes, Lord," they replied. Then he touched their eyes and said, "According to your faith will it be done to you"; and their sight was restored. Matthew 9:27-30 (NIV) Believe that God is able to work everything together for good in your life (Romans 8:28). Believe that He is able to deliver you from all your troubles. Know that if you ask God for wisdom to make the right decisions, He will generously give it (James 1:5). God loves you and He created you with a purpose and He has a wonderful plan for your life. Only believe. Love, Jackie

Build on the Rock

"Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock." Matthew 7:24-25 (NKJ) Be a person of great wisdom and build your life on the rock. Anyone who listens to the words of Jesus and practices them has a strong foundation. Those who build their lives on the solid rock of Christ will not cave in or collapse during stormy times. They will be able to stand strong in spite of the flood waters and strong winds. Praise the Lord. Love, Jackie

Love Your Enemies

I'm telling you to love your enemies. Let them bring out the best in you, not the worst. When someone gives you a hard time, respond with the energies of prayer, for then you are working out of your true selves, your God-created selves. This is what God does. He gives his best - the sun to warm and the rain to nourish - to everyone, regardless: the good and bad, the nice and nasty. Matthew 5:43-45 (The Message) Our flesh naturally wants to retaliate when someone persecutes us, but Jesus calls us to love our enemies and pray for those who spitefully use us. When we do this, Jesus said, we will be true children of our Father in heaven. In this way, our actions will mirror the character and nature of our loving God. Love is the higher way, love is God's way. May we love our God, ourselves, our neighbors and yes, even our enemies. Amen. Love, Jackie

In the Right Place

Instructed by the king, they set off. Then the star appeared again, the same star they had seen in the eastern skies. It led them on until it hovered over the place of the child. They could hardly contain themselves: They were in the right place! They had arrived at the right time! They entered the house and saw the child in the arms of Mary, his mother. Overcome, they kneeled and worshiped him. Then they opened their luggage and presented gifts: gold, frankincense, myrrh. - Matthew 2:9-11 (The Message) The wise men were in the right place at the right time! Any time we are in the Presence of the Lord, we are in the right place. May you come to the throne room of Jesus and bow down and worship Him. In His Presence you find inexpressible joy and overriding peace. Will you present Him with the gift of your heart today? Love, Jackie

He has been Good!

But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing to the LORD, for he has been good to me. Psalm 13:5-6 (NIV) The LORD has been good to you. If He woke you up this morning, you have reason to rejoice. If you have a healthy body and a sound mind, He has been good to you. If you have a roof over your head and food on your table, He has dealt bountifully with you. The LORD has been good to you because He first loved you and chose you to be a part of His family. God is good all the time! Rejoice in your salvation and sing to the LORD. Love, Jackie

Abandoned

The first time I was brought before the judge, no one came with me. Everyone abandoned me. May it not be counted against them. But the Lord stood with me and gave me strength so that I might preach the Good News in its entirety for all the Gentiles to hear. And he rescued me from certain death. Yes, and the Lord will deliver me from every evil attack and will bring me safely into his heavenly Kingdom. All glory to God forever and ever! Amen. 2 Timothy 4:16-18 (NLT) When it seems as though everyone has abandoned you, the Lord stands by your side. You are not alone. Like the Apostle Paul, God will deliver you from every evil attack and bring you safely into His heavenly Kingdom. Amen. Love, Jackie

Fight the Good Fight

As for me, my life has already been poured out as an offering to God. The time of my death is near. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. And now the prize awaits me - the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:6-8 (NLT) Fight the good fight of faith. The devil is intent on stealing your faith. We must keep the faith and complete our race. When the situations you face oppose the Word of God, choose to believe God's Word. Matthew 13:58 says Jesus did not do many miracles in His hometown because of their lack of faith. When you walk in faith the windows of heaven are open for the power of God to manifest in your life. Keep the faith and receive the prize the Lord has for you. Love, Jackie

Rest in His Love

"The LORD your God is with you; the mighty One will save you. He will rejoice over you. You will rest in his love; he will sing and be joyful about you." Zephaniah 3:17 (NCV) Rest in the love of the LORD your God. Rest, knowing that He will deliver you from all your troubles. He is the answer to any challenge. He is mighty to save. Relax and trust in the all-sufficient, all-bountiful, eternal God. He is with you when you go out and when you come in. He is by your side as you sleep and when you rise. Rest in His love, knowing that nothing can ever separate you from the unfailing love of God. Love, Jackie

I will Still be Glad

Fig trees may not grow figs, and there may be no grapes on the vines. There may be no olives growing in the field. There may be no sheep in the pens and no cattle in the barns. But I will still be glad in the LORD; I will rejoice in God my Savior. The Lord God is my strength. Habakkuk 3:17-19 (NCV) If we have God, we have all we need. He sent bread from heaven to feed His people while they wandered in the desert for 40 years (Exodus 16:35). He ordered the ravens to feed the prophet Elijah when he was in hiding (1 Kings 17). Jesus fed a crowd of 5,000 with five loaves and two small fish (John 6). God will take care of you. Rise above the circumstances of this world and rejoice in God our Savior. Hallelujah! Love, Jackie

What is Good

The LORD has told you, human, what is good; he has told you what he wants from you: to do what is right to other people, love being kind to others, and live humbly, obeying your God. Micah 6:8 (NCV) In order to live humbly and walk in obedience with our God we must know His will. The prophet Micah makes it clear. Let us continually do what is right, not just talk about it but put it into action. In all that we do, we are to be kind to others, and show them the love of God at all times. Psalm 84:11 says, " No good thing will God withhold from those who walk uprightly. " Praise the LORD! Love, Jackie

Enjoy Life!

The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows). John 10:10 (AMP) Satan, the thief, prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8). He will steal your joy, and your peace, if you let him. Jesus came that we may enjoy an abundant life. In 1 Timothy 6:17 the Apostle Paul says that we are to put our hope in God, Who has richly provided us with everything for our enjoyment. May you seek first the kingdom of God and partake of a full life on earth and an eternal life in heaven. Glory to God. Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. 3 John 1:2 (KJV) Love, Jackie

Sheer Grace & Mercy

"God! I knew it—when I was back home, I knew this was going to happen! That's why I ran off to Tarshish! I knew you were sheer grace and mercy, not easily angered, rich in love, and ready at the drop of a hat to turn your plans of punishment into a program of forgiveness!" Jonah 4:2 (The Message) The prophet Jonah knew God was full of grace and mercy. Our great God is not angered easily and His rich love toward us never fails. When we repent and confess our sins to God, we are instantly forgiven. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16). Love, Jackie

Call to Him

The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. Psalm 34:17 (NLT) Just like a mother listens for the cry of her newborn baby, so the ear of the LORD is always open to hear the cry of those who belong to Him. In the midst of your difficulties call to the LORD for help. Our God is faithful to rescue us from all our troubles. Amen. Love, Jackie

Complete Joy and Peace

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 (NLT) As children of God, who trust in Him, we have peace and joy in the Holy Spirit (Roman 14:16). When anxious thoughts come, let the consolation of the LORD bring joy to your soul and flood your heart with peace. God is our source and we can be confident that His mighty power is at work in our lives. Be filled with the joy and peace of the LORD. Love, Jackie

His Reassuring Presence

God , investigate my life; get all the facts firsthand. I'm an open book to you; even from a distance, you know what I'm thinking. You know when I leave and when I get back; I'm never out of your sight. You know everything I'm going to say before I start the first sentence. I look behind me and you're there, then up ahead and you're there, too— your reassuring presence, coming and going. This is too much, too wonderful— I can't take it all in! Psalm 139:1-6 (The Message) We are never out of God's sight. He takes what is behind us and works it all together for good. He knows your final outcome and it is to prosper you, to give you hope and a glorious future. No matter what you go through, God will take care of you. He will not abandon you. Amen. Love, Jackie

We Are Children of God

The true children of God are those who let God's Spirit lead them. The Spirit we received does not make us slaves again to fear; it makes us children of God. With that Spirit we cry out, "Father." And the Spirit himself joins with our spirits to say we are God's children. Romans 8:14-16 (NCV) God has adopted us and we belong in His family. We are children of God and joint heirs with Christ. We are to let God's Spirit shape us to become more like our heavenly Father. May we produce the fruit of the Spirit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness and self-control (Galatians 5:22). Enjoy consistent fellowship with God and you will absorb more and more of His loving nature. Love, Jackie

What Great Love!

Come back to the LORD your God, because he is kind and shows mercy. He doesn't become angry quickly and he has great love. Joel 2:13 (NCV) God is kind, patient and full of mercy. His great love for us reaches to the heavens and His faithfulness to the skies (Psalm 57:10). The LORD does not change. We can count on Him to always be loving and full of grace. There is no greater love than Jesus giving His life on the cross for His friends. Accept the wonderful gift of God's great love for you. Love, Jackie

When Happiness Dies...

The vines have become dry, and the fig trees are dried up. The pomegranate trees, the date palm trees, the apple trees - all the trees in the field have died. And the happiness of the people has died, too. LORD, I am calling to you for help, because fire has burned up the open pastures, and flames have burned all the trees in the field. Joel 1:12, 19 (NCV) The prophet Joel warns the people of Judah of the bad times to come because they have forgotten God and turned to idols. He tells everyone who lives in the land to cry out to the LORD (Joel 1:14). Beware, the things of this world will kill our happiness, if we allow it. When you have no joy or happiness, seek the face of the LORD and call to Him for help. He is faithful. He will answer. Amen. Love, Jackie

The Only One

"I, the LORD, have been your God since you were in the land of Egypt. You should have known no other God except me. I am the only one who saves." Hosea 13:4 (NCV) God has loved you since you were in the land of your captivity. He set you free and called you out. God raised you up with Christ and seated you in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:6, NIV). He is the One we need to know. The LORD forgives us and freely loves us (Hosea 14:4, NCV). The people of God live under His protection (Hosea 14:7, NCV). He answers our prayers and continually watches over us (Hosea 14:8, NCV). All our blessings come from Him (Hosea 14:8, NCV). Acknowledge God in all you do. He is the only One who saves. Amen. Love, Jackie

Exceedingly Abundantly Above All

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21 (NKJ) Almighty God is able to do exceedingly abundantly more than we could ever imagine. He is able to calm your most ferocious storms and move any mountain. He can turn your pain and sorrow into overflowing joy with dancing. Our all-knowing God is capable of imparting crystal-clear knowledge, wisdom and direction in the midst of confusion. His peace overrides our worries, anxieties and fears. The power of God releases us from bondage, sin and death and gives us eternal life. To Him be the glory forever and ever! Love, Jackie
