He Rescues

Image
I sought the LORD, and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces will never be ashamed. This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him, and rescues them. — Psalm 34:4-7 (NASB) When we seek the LORD, He hears and He answers. Always look to Him for help. He will deliver you. The LORD encamps around those who fear Him. He encircles us and empowers us. He shows us the way to escape. The messenger of the Eternal God surrounds everyone who walks with Him and is always there to protect and rescue us. (Psalm 34:7 Voice)

By His Spirit

Image
Then he said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel saying, ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the LORD of hosts. — Zechariah 4:6 (NASB) When we try to accomplish anything in sheer human strength and might, we get stressed out, grow weary, and then become discouraged. Instead, let us submit to the work of the Holy Spirit within us. Be led by His Spirit in all you do. We are overcomers because greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world. (See 1 John 4:4) Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? (1 Corinthians 6:19 NASB) “... with God all things are possible. ” — Matthew 19:26 (NASB)

My Cup Overflows

Image
You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the LORD forever. — Psalm 23:5-6 (NLT) God wants to fill our cups to overflowing, so we not only have enough for ourselves, but more than enough to share with others. Let us come to our heavenly Father humbly, with open our hearts, every day. Submit to His Holy Spirit and receive all He has to give. Drink in His goodness, His love, and His grace. Partake of the Bread of Life and be strengthened, nourished and empowered to fulfill your purpose and His good plan for your life. The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]. — John 10:10 (AMP)

Choose to Rejoice

Image
Though the fig tree does not blossom and there is no fruit on the vines, though the yield of the olive fails and the fields produce no food, though the flock is cut off from the fold and there are no cattle in the stalls, yet I will [choose to] rejoice in the LORD; I will [choose to] shout in exultation in the [victorious] God of my salvation! — Habakkuk 3:17-18 (AMP) When it looks like you are down to nothing, know that God is up to something. No matter how circumstances may appear, choose to rejoice. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. (Philippians 4:6 NASB)  Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! — Philippians 4:4 (NASB)

We Still Win!

Image
Even though I walk through the [sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort and console me. — Psalm 23:4 (AMP) We are cracked and chipped from our afflictions on all sides, but we are not crushed by them. We are bewildered at times, but we do not give in to despair. We are persecuted, but we have not been abandoned. We have been knocked down, but we are not destroyed. (2 Corinthians 4:8-9 VOICE) We may get battered and bruised in the battle, but we still win the war. Hallelujah and Amen! but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory [as conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ. — 1 Corinthians 15:57 (AMP)

Source of Life & Light

Image
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. — John 1:1-3 (NASB) Jesus is the source of life and light. Anything or anyone else we turn to is a resource that God has provided. He alone is our Savior. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it (John 1:4-5 NLT) No matter how much death and darkness goes on in the world, greater is He who dwells within us. His light shining through us causes darkness to flee. May we open our hearts and let the light of His love and life touch and illuminate the world around us. Jesus said to her, “I am the Resurrection and the Life. Whoever believes in (adheres to, trusts in, relies on) Me [as Savior] will live even if he dies; — John 11:25 (AMP)

Be Awestruck!

Image
Then the sailors picked Jonah up and threw him into the raging sea, and the storm stopped at once! The sailors were awestruck by the LORD’s great power, and they offered him a sacrifice and vowed to serve him. — Jonah 1:14-16 (NLT) In Jonah 1:1-3, God told Jonah to go to the city of Nineveh and proclaim His message, but Jonah went in the opposite direction hoping to get away from the LORD. Then the LORD sent a storm.  In Jonah 1:14 (NLT), the sailors threw Jonah overboard, in order to calm the storm. They cried out to the LORD, “O LORD,” they pleaded, “don’t make us die for this man’s sin. And don’t hold us responsible for his death. O LORD, you have sent this storm upon him for your own good reasons.” God has good reasons for allowing the storms that come into our lives. In Jonah’s case his obedience meant that a city of more than 120,000 people turned from their wicked ways and were saved. When the storms come, don’t lose hope, know that God has already prepared a way out. Instead

God is Good

Image
O taste and see that the LORD [our God] is good; How blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who takes refuge in Him. — Psalm 34:8 (AMP) Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; for His lovingkindness is everlasting. (Psalm 118:29 NASB) I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living. (Psalm 27:13 NASB) God is good, a hiding place in tough times. He recognizes and welcomes anyone looking for help, no matter how desperate the trouble. (Nahum 1:7 MSG) So why would I fear the future? For your goodness and love pursue me all the days of my life. Then afterward, when my life is through, I’ll return to your glorious presence to be forever with you! — Psalm 23:6 (TPT)

Stay on Track

Image
I have set the LORD continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. — Psalm 16:8 (NASB)
No matter what comes our way, may we stay aligned with our heavenly Father. He only is my rock and my salvation; My fortress and my defense, I will not be shaken or discouraged. (Psalm 62:6 AMP) The LORD is bigger and more powerful than the events of this world. May we not allow the enemy to derail us, distract us or take detours away from the good plans the LORD has for us. Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken. (Psalm 55:22 NASB) “For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake, but My lovingkindness will not be removed from you, and My covenant of peace will not be shaken,” says the LORD who has compassion on you. — Isaiah 54:10 (NASB)

No Fear

Image
Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love. — 1 John 4:18 (NLT) As we abide in the perfect love of God, there is no need to fear. If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:8-9 NASB) Let us walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light and we will have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. (See 1 John 1:7 NASB) What a glorious God! He gives us salvation over and over, then daily he carries our burdens! Pause in his presence Our God is a mighty God who saves us over and over! For the Lord, Yahweh, rescues us from the ways of death many times. — Psalm 68:19-20 (TPT)

Make a Dedicated Decision

Image
Thousands upon thousands are waiting in the valley of decision. There the day of the LORD will soon arrive. — Joel 3:14 (NLT) That is why the LORD says, “Turn to me now, while there is time. Give me your hearts. Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning. Don’t tear your clothing in your grief, but tear your hearts instead.” Return to the LORD your God, for he is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. He is eager to relent and not punish. (Joel 2:12-13 NLT) Don't get caught in the valley of decision. Choose today whom you will serve. Make a dedicated decision to follow YAHWEH, the only true and living God, the God Most High. Announce a time of fasting; call the people together for a solemn meeting. Bring the leaders and all the people of the land into the Temple of the LORD your God, and cry out to him there. (Joel 1:14 NLT) But everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved … — Joel 2:32 (NLT)

Be Encouraged!

Image
“Don’t be afraid,” he said, “for you are very precious to God. Peace! Be encouraged! Be strong!” As he spoke these words to me, I suddenly felt stronger and said to him, “Please speak to me, my lord, for you have strengthened me.” — Daniel 10:19 (NLT) Just like Daniel, you are very precious to God. Give thanks and praise to God, for you are fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are His works, and my soul knows it very well. (See Psalm 139:14) Psalm 139:17 says, How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! Know that, He has not forgotten about you. May we humble ourselves in His Presence and recieve strength and wisdom from the LORD, as we keep our ears open to listen for what He is speaking to us. Do not be afraid, you who are highly regarded by God. May peace rest on you and make you whole; be strong; be brave. (Daniel 10:19a VOICE)

He’s Faithful

Image
Let us seize and hold tightly the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is reliable and trustworthy and faithful [to His word]; — Hebrews 10:23 (AMP) We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:4-5 NLT) We don’t fight our battles the way the world does. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 6:12)  We are strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. When we put the full armor of God, we are  able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. When we do things God's way, He is faithful to give us the victory. The LORD is my strength and my s

He Sees You

Image
Then she called the name of the LORD who spoke to her, “You are God Who Sees”; for she said, “Have I not even here [in the wilderness] remained alive after seeing Him [who sees me with understanding and compassion]?” — Genesis 16:13 (AMP) Our heavenly Father is El Roi, the God Who Sees Me. The angel of the LORD spoke to Hagar by a spring of water in the wilderness. Abba Father knows exactly where you are at today, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. And He sees you with understanding and compassion. He knows your difficulties and disappointments. He is familiar with your limitations and weaknesses. He knows your hurts, and fearful thoughts. Psalm 139:4 says, even before there is a word on my tongue, behold, O LORD, You know it all. However, He still loves you with an everlasting love and He is always willing to help. And with God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26) Amen and hallelujah!  O LORD, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down

Remember & Recognize

Image
I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; from where shall my help come? My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. — Psalm 121:1-2 NASB “…I, Nebuchadnezzar, looked up to heaven. My sanity returned, and I praised and worshiped the Most High and honored the one who lives forever. His rule is everlasting, and his kingdom is eternal. All the people of the earth are nothing compared to him. He does as he pleases among the angels of heaven and among the people of the earth. No one can stop him or say to him, ‘What do you mean by doing these things?’” (Daniel 4:34-35 NLT) The Holy One of Israel is our Helper. Let us remember that He reigns on high and His plans for us are good. May we recognize that the Most High God is ruler over the realm of mankind and that He sets over it whomever He wishes. (See Daniel 5:21 NASB) May we continually praise and worship Elohim, the all-powerful One. And be led by His Holy Spirit within us.

Love is the Call

Image
We have come to know [by personal observation and experience], and have believed [w ith deep, consistent faith] the love which God has f or us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides continually in him. — 1 John 4:16 (AMP) The call of God is love. It is a higher call. It's not the way of this world. The call of our heavenly Father requires us to be different, to rise to a higher level. The love walk compels us to refuse offense, bitterness, hatred and trying to get revenge. Following the call of God will cause us to dig deeper and go higher, to walk in love at all times, with everyone He brings our way. YAHWEH is love. When we abide in Him, we live and walk in love. LOVE is the call. Will you answer? Therefore I… implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, — Ephesians 4:1-2 (NASB)

He's Still There

Image
…And behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the  fire; and after the fire a still small voice. — 1 Kings 19:11-12 (NKJV) After your life has been shaken, and things have been blown out of it by a strong wind, listen for His still small voice. The LORD is still with you. In Isaiah 43:2, He says:  “ When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. ”

Set Your Sights

Image
Though we experience every kind of pressure, we’re not crushed. At times we don’t know what to do, but quitting is not an option. We are persecuted by others, but God has not forsaken us. We may be knocked down, but not out. — 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (TPT) You see, the short-lived pains of this life are creating for us an eternal glory that does not compare to anything we know here. So we do not set our sights on the things we can see with our eyes. All of that is fleeting; it will eventually fade away. Instead, we focus on the things we cannot see, which live on and on. (2 Corinthians 4:17-18 VOICE) Set your sights on the King of kings and the Lord of lords. He reigns in power and victory. Seek first His Kingdom. All honor and glory to God forever and ever! He is the eternal King, the unseen one who never dies; he alone is God. Amen. — 1 Timothy 1:17 (NLT)

What’s on Your Mind?

Image
A mind focused on the flesh is doomed to death, but a mind focused on the Spirit will find full life and complete peace. — Romans 8:6 (VOICE) It wasn’t so long ago that you were mired in that old stagnant life of sin. You let the world, which doesn’t know the first thing about living, tell you how to live. You filled your lungs with polluted unbelief, and then exhaled disobedience. We all did it, all of us doing what we felt like doing, when we felt like doing it, all of us in the same boat. (Ephesians 1:1-3 MSG) But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), (Ephesians 2:4-5 NASB). Our spiritual well-being comes from walking with God, now and forever. Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes

“Come to Me”

Image
“ Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. ” — John 7:37 (NASB) Jesus invites us to come to Him. In Matthew 11:28, He says: “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.” There are no conditions in our coming. He just wants us to come. And coming to Him is not just a one time event. Let us come to Him every day and each moment of the day. In John 6:37, Jesus says, “…the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out.” You are invited and accepted. “ Incline your ear and come to Me. Listen, that you may live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, according to the faithful mercies shown to David. ” — Isaiah 55:3 (NASB)

The Fear of the LORD

Image
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all those who do His commandments; His praise endures forever. — Psalm 111:10 (NASB) “The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverted mouth, I hate.” (Proverbs 8:13) The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, that one may avoid the snares of death. (Proverbs 14:27) How blessed is everyone who fears the LORD, who walks in His ways. (Psalm 128:1)  Now then let the fear of the LORD be upon you; be very careful what you do, for the LORD our God will have no part in unrighteousness or partiality or the taking of a bribe.” (2 Chronicles 19:7) In the fear of the LORD there is strong confidence… (Proverbs 14:26a) The fear of the LORD prolongs life, but the years of the wicked will be shortened. (Proverbs 10:27) The reward of humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, honor and life. (Proverbs 22:4) Live in the reverent fear of the LORD always!

Eyes that See

Image
Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. — Proverbs 29:18 (KJV) It’s important that we have eyes that see clearly. What we choose to look at, will guide our beliefs and actions and lead us along certain pathways. That’s why the Bible tells us to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus (Hebrews 12:2), and to meditate on His Word day and night (Joshua 1:8). In Habakkuk 2:2 (NASB), the LORD said, “Record the vision and inscribe it on tablets, that the one who reads it may run.” God’s vision for our lives is recorded in His Word. It will give us the proper perspective. Let us read it and run. Commit your way to the LORD, trust also in Him, and He will do it. (Psalm 37:5 NASB) If people can’t see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves; But when they attend to what he reveals, they are most blessed. — Proverbs 29:18 (MSG)

No Turning Back

Image
I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back. — Philippians 3:12-14 (MSG) Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. (Hebrews 12:1 NLT) Strip off the weights, ignore the distractions and run your race. No turning back!

Abide in the Vine

Image
“ Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. ” — John 15:4-5 (NASB) If we want to live a fruitful life, we must stay connected to Jesus. Our fulfillment comes as we abide in the vine and receive what He gives us. Connected we receive all that we need to survive and thrive: life, living water, light, nourishment, strength, etc. And our union with Christ enables us to grow and mature, and bring our purpose and destiny to fruition. If we become disconnected from the vine, our fruit will wither and die, because it has been cut off from its source of life. “ I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. ” — John 15:1 (NASB)

Peace, Peace!

Image
Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours]. — Philippians 4:6-7 (AMP) Let the peace of God reassure your heart and stand guard over your mind. He will be the security and stability of our times, a treasure of salvation, wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the LORD is our treasure. (See Isaiah 33:6 AMP) Let us be agents of peace and calm, during times of conflict and unrest. May we be men and women of faith and courage in times of confusion and fear.

Build Up

Image
I searched for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand in the gap before Me for the land, so that I would not destroy it; but I found no one. — Ezekiel 22:30 (NASB) The LORD looked for someone who might rebuild the wall of righteousness that guards the land. (Ezekiel 22:30 NLT) As believers in King Jesus, the Prince of Peace, may we build a wall of righteousness around our land, by doing what is right, loving kindness, and walking humbly with our God (See Micah 6:8) Instead of tearing down, may our works and our words reflect the love, truth and grace of our heavenly Father. Build others up and encourage unity. In Matthew 12:25, Jesus said, “Any kingdom divided against itself is laid waste; and any city or house divided against itself will not stand.” Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. — 2 Chronicles 7:14

Release It

Image
You must continually bring healing to lepers and to those who are sick, and make it your habit to break off the demonic presence from people, and raise the dead back to life. Freely you have received the power of the kingdom, so freely release it to others. — Matthew 10:8 (TPT) May we open our hearts to receive all YAHWEH desires to give us. As we receive, may we continually pour out. Freely give, as we have received. Love others, as Abba Father continually showers us with His love. Let it flow! Forgive others as our heavenly Father has forgiven us our sins. Let us be agents of healing and wholeness. Let the power of the Holy Spirit work through you, and touch others with His righteousness, peace, and joy. May we not be hoarders, and keep everything to ourselves. We are blessed to be a blessing.

Always Remember

Image
And they remembered that God was their rock, and the Most High God their Redeemer. — Psalm 78:35  (NASB) El Elyon is the Sovereign God in whom we can put all of our trust. He is the God Most High .  In Isaiah 55:9 (NASB), the LORD says, “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.” He is higher than any mountain that stands before you. He is bigger and more powerful than any situation, trouble or trial the enemy brings your way. Always remember that God is our Rock and the Most High God is our Redeemer. Who can stand against us with Him on our side? “ After this time had passed, I, Nebuchadnezzar, looked up to heaven. My sanity returned, and I praised and worshiped the Most High and honored the one who lives forever. His rule is everlasting, and his kingdom is eternal. ” — Daniel 4:34 (NLT)

Shine Bright!

Image
Do everything without murmuring or questioning [the providence of God], so that you may prove yourselves to be blameless and guileless, innocent and uncontaminated, children of God without blemish in the midst of a [morally] crooked and [spiritually] perverted generation, among whom you are seen as bright lights [beacons shining out clearly] in the world [of darkness], — Philippians 2:14-15 (AMP)  “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:14-16 NASB)

Come Closer

Image
Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. — James 4:8 (NLT) Move your heart closer and closer to God, and he will come even closer to you. (James 4:8a TPT) No matter where you currently are in your relationship with the Lord, you can take another step closer. But as for me, it is good for me to draw near to God; I have made the Lord God my refuge and placed my trust in Him, that I may tell of all Your works. (Psalm 73:28 AMP)  In Joshua 3:9, Joshua said to the sons of Israel, “Come here, and hear the words of the Lord your God.” When draw near to the LORD, we can hear His still small voice. Come closer to Him today, and listen for what He is speaking to you. ‘Ah Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for You,’ — Jeremiah 32:17
