In His Time

Image
Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end. — Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NLT) Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NASB1995) says: He has made everything appropriate in its time. Everything that we experienced in 2022 may not have appeared beautiful to us, with our limited human perspective. But we can know in our hearts that it was appropriate because it happened according to the time set by our heavenly Father, Who had all our days written in His book, before we drew a single breath. (See Psalm 139:16) For now, all that we know is partial and incomplete. (See 1 Corinthians 13:12 NLT) This year may not have brought all that you had hoped for, but remember that everything happens at His appointed time. After years of barrenness, at the appointed time Sarah bore a son (See Genesis 18:14). Joseph was betrayed by his brothers, sold into slavery, and put into prison. But Gene

Where is Your Treasure?

Image
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. — Matthew 6:19-21 (NASB1995) Any material thing this world has to offer is temporary. Earthly goods have no eternal value, and they do not satisfy. May our heart’s desire be for the treasures of heaven. First and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness (See Matthew 6:33 AMP). Cherish His Presence more than anything. Luke 6:45 (AMP) says: The [intrinsically] good man produces what is good and honorable and moral out of the good treasure [stored] in his heart. Seek to dwell in the house of the LORD [in His presence] all the days of your life. (See Psalm 27:4 AMP) Let us treasure the Word of God in our hearts that we may not sin against Him. (See

Above All

Image
Step out of the traffic! Take a long, loving look at me, your High God, above politics, above everything. — Psalms 46:10 (MSG) Cease striving, always trying to get somewhere or acquire something. Be still and acknowledge the Presence of our great and mighty God. He is El Elyon, the God Most High. He is above politics, above the doctor’s report, above the balance of your financial accounts, etc. Surrender your anxiety, doubts and worries to Him. Honor Him above all else. He is with you and He is able and faithful to provide everything you need. I will cry out to God Most High, to God who accomplishes all things for me. (Psalm 57:2) God is our shelter and our strength. When troubles seem near, God is nearer, and He’s ready to help. So why run and hide? No fear, no pacing, no biting fingernails. When the earth spins out of control, we are sure and fearless. When mountains crumble and the waters run wild, we are sure and fearless. Even in heavy winds and huge waves, or as mountains shake,

Hope in His Help

Image
Unless the LORD had helped me, I would soon have settled in the silence of the grave. I cried out, “I am slipping!” but your unfailing love, O LORD, supported me. When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer. — Psalm 94:17-19 (NLT) Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall again praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God. (Psalm 43:5 NASB1995) The God of hope refreshes and restores my soul (life). (See Romans 15:13 & Psalm 23:3) For the LORD will not [cast off His people, nor will He forsake His inheritance. (Psalm 94:14 NKJV) And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you. (Psalm 39:7 NLT) How blessed and graciously favored is he whose help is the God of Jacob (Israel), whose hope is in the LORD his God (Psalm 146:5 AMP). He is the God of all comfort (See 2 Corinthians 1:3), and His comfort will renew your hope and cheer.

Trust God

Image
For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, how blessed is the man who trusts in You! — Psalm 84:11-12 (NASB1995) The LORD is a sun. He provides light to show us the way. He is a shield, protecting us from the fiery darts of the wicked one. In 2 Corinthians 1:8-10, when affliction came upon Paul and his traveling companions, he says they were crushed and overwhelmed beyond their ability to endure. They thought they would never live through it. However, in the midst of their troubles, they learned not to trust in themselves, but in God who raises the dead. God is our deliverer. No matter what you may be going through, keep your trust in YAHWEH. Set your hope on Him. He will outlast any storm in your life. Lord, You have been our dwelling place [our refuge, our sanctuary, our stability] in all generations. Before the mountains were born or before You had given birth to the earth and t

Do Not be Deceived

Image
Little children, make sure no one deceives you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous; the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil. — 1 John 3:7-8 (NASB1995) Do not let anyone lead you astray. Abide in God and follow His Holy Scriptures. …for false Christs and false prophets will arise, and will show signs and wonders, in order to lead astray, if possible, the elect. (Mark 13:22 NASB1995) We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one. (1 John 5:19 NKJV)  The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever. (1 John 2:17 NASB1995)  You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. — 1 John 4:4 (NASB1995) Amen.

God With Us

Image
For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. — Isaiah 9:6 (NKJV) In Matthew 1:23, the Lord spoke through the prophet: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name IMMANUEL,” which translated means, “GOD WITH US.” For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. (John 3:16-17 NASB1995) For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; for “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:12-13 NASB1995) Believe and trust in Yahusha (original Hebrew) as the Savior of your soul. He is the good Shepherd,

Come & Talk

Image
My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.” And my heart responds, “LORD, I am coming.” — Psalm 27:8 (NLT) Seek the face of YAHWEH in prayer, and require His Presence as your greatest need. (See Psalm 27:8 AMP) Desire more of Him, above anything else. Our primary goal is to live close to the LORD, to know Him more and more each day, and respond to His will and His Word. Let us get rid of the clutter in our minds, hearts and lives. The worries and cares of this world will choke the Word out. (See Mark 4:19) And let go of man-made traditions. In Mark 7:8 (AMP) Yeshua says: “You disregard and neglect the commandment of God, and cling [faithfully] to the tradition of men.” Instead, listen for His still small voice, and your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left. (See Isaiah 30:21 NLT). Be a follower of Christ, not man. It is from Him, that all our blessings flow. Amen. First and most import

Long for Him

Image
Therefore the LORD longs to be gracious to you, and therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you. For the LORD is a God of justice; How blessed are all those who long for Him. — Isaiah 30:18 (NASB1995) YAHWEH longs to show us His love and compassion. May we desire His Presence more than anything this world has to offer. Long for His will and His good plans. See what great love the Father has lavished on us! He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding. (Ephesians 1:7-8 NLT) For since the world began, no ear has heard and no eye has seen a God like you, Who works and acts in behalf of the one who gladly waits for Him. (Isaiah 64:4 NLT/AMP) The LORD’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is His faithfulness. “ The LORD is my portion ,” says my soul, “ Therefore I have hop

Draw Near

Image
let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; — Hebrews 10:22-23 (NASB1995) Amongst all the distractions of this world, do not be like those who turn away from God to their own destruction. Rely on God through faith in Jesus Christ, the Messiah. We are the faithful ones, whose souls will be saved. (See Hebrews 10:39 NLT&AMP) The LORD says: “My righteous one shall live by faith; and if he shrinks back, My soul has no pleasure in him.” (See Hebrews 10:38) Therefore, do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised. (Hebrews 10:35-36 NASB1995) Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your gr

Consider Jesus

Image
Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our confession; — Hebrews 3:1 (NASB1995) He was despised and rejected—  a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief.
We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care. Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. (Isaiah 53:3-5 NLT) None of our troubles and trials can compare to the sacrifice our loving Savior made for us.  Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. (Philippians 2:8 NASB1995) You have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood in your striving against sin; (Hebrews 12:4) Isaiah 53:7 (NK

Come to Worship

Image
Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.” — Matthew 2:1-2 (NKJV) Wise men and women still seek the King of kings and the Lord of lords, each and every day. They acknowledge the fact that He is Christ, the Son of the living God. (See Matthew 26:63) In Revelation 1:8, Jesus says:  “I am the Alpha and the Omega, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” He is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! (See John 1:29). “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing!” (See Revelation 5:12 NKJV) In Matthew 2:11, when the wise men had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented g

Seek Wisdom from Above

Image
But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. — James 3:17 (NLT) Let your ear be attentive to the wisdom that comes from above. For the LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. (Proverbs 2:6 NASB1995) If any of you lacks wisdom [to guide him through a decision or circumstance], he is to ask of [our benevolent] God, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame, and it will be given to him. (James 1:5 AMP) But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do. (James 1:6-8 NLT) Do not

Enter His Courts

Image
Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name. — Psalms 100:4 (NASB1995) My soul longs and even yearns for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God. I will praise You, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works. For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand outside. I would rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness. (See Psalms 9:1,84:2,10) Psalm 92:13-14 (AMP) says Planted in the house of the LORD, the righteous will flourish in the courts of our God. [Growing in grace] they will still thrive and bear fruit and prosper in old age; They will flourish and be vital and fresh [rich in trust and love and contentment]; Amen. Give to the LORD the glory he deserves! Bring your offering and come into his courts. (Psalm 96:8 NLT) May we offer to YAHWEH a humble heart that is open to doing His will. Set your affections on Him. For

Actively Press On

Image
Not that I have already obtained it [this goal of being Christlike] or have already been made perfect, but I actively press on so that I may take hold of that [perfection] for which Christ Jesus took hold of me and made me His own. — Philippians 3:12 (AMP) In  Luke 10:41 (NLT), Jesus said: “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details!” Today, so many things pull for our attention. Don’t let the enemy distract you from the important things with eternal value by keeping you busy with temporary things that will not last through the fire. Instead of fretting about the future or being held back by your past, keep your eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith (See Hebrews 12:2 NLT), and press on! No turning back. No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, throu

Trust in Him

Image
For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, how blessed is the man who trusts in You! — Psalm 84:11-12 (NASB1995) The LORD is good and does what is right; he shows the proper path to those who go astray. (Psalm 25:8 NLT) Let us follow as He leads. His lovingkindness is everlasting and His faithfulness to all generations.  (See Psalm 100:5) May we stay committed to YAHWEH and His ways. The LORD is good to all, and His mercies are over all His works. (See Psalm 145:9) Trust in the LORD and do good; Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness. (Psalm 37:3 NASB1995) They who seek the LORD shall not be in want of any good thing. (See Psalm 34:10 NASB1995) O taste and see that the LORD is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! (Psalm 34:8 NASB1995)

The Chief Cornerstone

Image
Jesus asked them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: ‘The [very] Stone which the builders rejected and threw away, has become the Chief Cornerstone; This is the LORD’s doing, and it is marvelous and wonderful in our eyes’? — Matthew 21:42 (AMP) “Therefore thus says the Lord God, “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a tested stone, a costly cornerstone for the foundation, firmly placed. He who believes in it will not be disturbed.” (Isaiah 28:16 NASB1995) In Christ, we have a firm foundation. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have—Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 3:11NLT) So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, (Ephesians 2:19-20 NASB1995) He who believes in Him, trusts in Him, and relies on Him will never be disappointed. This precious value, then, is for you who b

Hope in His Help

Image
How blessed and graciously favored is he whose help is the God of Jacob (Israel), whose hope is in the LORD his God, Who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, Who keeps truth and is faithful forever, — Psalm 146:5-6 (AMP) Our help is in the name of the LORD… (See Psalm 124:8 NKJV) YAHWEH! He executes justice for the oppressed, and gives food to the hungry. He sets free the prisoners. The LORD opens the eyes of the blind and lifts up those who are bowed down; The LORD loves the righteous [the upright in heart]. (See Psalm 146:7-8 AMP) The LORD will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul. The LORD will guard your going out and you're coming in from this time forth and forever. (Psalms 121:7-8 NASB1995) You who [reverently] fear the LORD, trust in LORD; He is their help and their shield. (Psalm 115:11 AMP)  The LORD is my strength and my [impenetrable] shield; My heart trusts [with unwavering confidence] in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly

Surely The LORD is in This place!

Image
So he came to a certain place and stayed there all night, because the sun had set. And he took one of the stones of that place and put it at his head, and he lay down in that place to sleep. Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the LORD is in this place, and I did not know it.” — Genesis 28:11, 16 (NKJV) When you come to a certain place in life, actually, to any place you find yourself, you can be confident that the LORD is in that place with you. “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid... for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6 NKJV) YAHWEH has enclosed you behind and before, and [He has] placed His hand upon you. (See Psalm 139:5 AMP) Psalm 139:7-10 says: Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost pa

Stay Alert!

Image
Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. — 1 Peter 5:8 (NASB1995) Our enemy has waged war on all who obey the commandments of God and maintain their testimony for Jesus. (See Revelation 12:17) We need to be alert and cautious at all times. The Message Bible says: The Devil is poised to pounce, and would like nothing better than to catch you napping. (1 Peter 5:8)  Be strong in the Lord. Draw your strength from Him and be empowered through your union with Him. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. (See Ephesians 6:10-12)

Live with Great Expectation

Image
Jesus said to her, “I am the Resurrection and the Life. Whoever believes in (adheres to, trusts in, relies on) Me [as Savior] will live even if he dies;”  — John 11:25 (AMP) Believe, trust in and rely on the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! (See John 1:29) For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.” (Romans 10:12-13 NKJV) “for if we live, we live for the Lord, or if we die, we die for the Lord; therefore whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. For to this end Christ died and lived again, that He might be Lord both of the dead and of the living.” (Romans 14:8-9 NASB1995) Believe and receive Yeshua, as your Lord and Savior and follow Him all the days of your life. All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great e

Don't be Surprised

Image
And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. — Romans 5:3-4 (NKJV) Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. (1 Peter 4:12 NLT) For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. (Romans 8:18 NASB1995) …if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it. (Romans 8:25 NASB1995) And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. (Romans 8:28 AMP) Amen.

Got Peace?

Image
“These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” — John 16:33 (NASB1995) Jesus said; we “ may ” have peace. What will bring about this peace or lack of it? What we choose to give our attention to is the deciding factor. If our thoughts are problem-centered, frustration, anxiety and fear will follow. As we focus on God's Presence with us, we will experience peace. Isaiah 26:3 (AMP) says, the LORD will keep in perfect and constant peace the one who’s mind is committed and focused on Him. Philippians 4:6 (NLT) says: Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Basically, cast all your cares upon the LORD, and be thankful. As you put this verse into action, Philippians 4:7 (NLT) says: Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you

The Expected One

Image
So the men came to Jesus and said, “John the Baptist sent us to You to ask, ‘Are You the Expected One (the Messiah), or should we look for someone else?’” — Luke 7:20 (AMP) John the Baptist was the voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Prepare the way of the LORD…” (See Matthew 3:1-3) In Matthew 3:13-14, Jesus came to John to be baptized by him and John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?” However, as John sat in prison, he sent men to ask Jesus if He was the Expected One. In the midst of adverse circumstances, never doubt or wonder if Jesus is the One. James 1:6 says, the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. Believers stand strong in faith, trusting God in all situations. In Luke 7:22 (NASB1995), Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and report to John what you have seen and heard: the blind receive sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, the poo

He will Show You the Way

Image
“ I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you [who are willing to learn] with My eye upon you. ” — Psalms 32:8 (AMP) YAHWEH is faithful to instruct us and show us the way to go. Let us be willing to learn. For this is God, our God forever and ever; He will be our guide even until death. (Psalm 48:14 AMP) This is what the LORD says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is good for you and leads you along the paths you should follow. (Isaiah 48:17 NLT) The LORD makes a way through the sea and a path through the mighty waters. He will even make a roadway in the wilderness. He will create rivers in the dry wasteland. (See Isaiah 43:16,19 NASB1995 & NLT) Instead of trying to figure things out on your own, trust YAHWEH to lead you and guide you through each and every situation. Keep your ears tuned in to His voice and listen to what He speaks to your heart.   I hear the Lord saying, “I will stay close to y

“Who do you say that I am?”

Image
And it happened that while He was praying alone, the disciples were with Him, and He questioned them, saying, “Who do the people say that I am?” — Luke 9:18 (NASB1995) First Jesus asked His disciples “ Who do the people say that I am? ” Then, He asked them: “But who do you say that I am?” (See Luke 9:20) We can listen to what others say about Jesus, but it is a matter of life and death, for us to know Who He is for ourselves, to have that one-to-One, intimate relationship with Him. Peter answered and said He is “The Christ of God.” Luke 9:56 says, He is the Son of Man who did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them. In John 4:25-26, He is the Messiah, who is called Christ. In John 1:29, He is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! In John 10:7, He is the Door (or gate) for the sheep leading to life. In John 10:11, Jesus is the good Shepherd, Who gives His life for the sheep. In Job 19:25, He is the living Redeemer, Who will take His stand on the earth. In John 1

We are God's Temple

Image
And what union can there be between God’s temple and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God said: “I will live in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they will be my people.” — 2 Corinthians 6:16 (NLT) See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! (See 1 John 3:1a NIV) We are also temples of the living God. …we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. (2 Corinthians 4:7 NKJV) We were once darkness, but now we are light in the Lord. “So come out from among unbelievers and be separate,” says the Lord, “And do not touch what is unclean; and I will graciously receive you and welcome you [with favor], and I will be a Father to you, and you will be My sons and daughters,” says the Lord Almighty. (2 Corinthians 6:17-18 AMP) Our Heavenly Father has called us and chosen us to be a people for Himself, holy and set apart. Embrace the n

How Do You Smell?

Image
Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God. — Ephesians 5:2 (NLT) What fragrance are you releasing? The world or the flesh (pride, arrogance and selfishness)? Believers are to be a pleasing aroma to God. We are a life-giving perfume, as we follow the example of Christ. Children of God are to walk continually in love [that is, value one another—practice empathy and compassion, unselfishly seeking the best for others], just as Christ also loved us and gave Himself up for us, an offering and sacrifice to God, a sweet fragrance. (See Ephesians 5:2 AMP) ...thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place. For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing; to the one an aroma from death to death, to the other an aroma from life to life. And who is a

A Proven Help

Image
God, you’re such a safe and powerful place to find refuge! You’re a proven help in time of trouble— more than enough and always available whenever I need you. So we will never fear even if every structure of support were to crumble away. We will not fear even when the earth quakes and shakes, moving mountains and casting them into the sea. For the raging roar of stormy winds and crashing waves cannot erode our faith in you. Pause in his presence — Psalms 46:1-3 (TPT) God is our refuge and strength [mighty and impenetrable], (See Psalm 46:1 AMP ). He is a very present, powerful and well-proven help in times of trouble. He is El Shaddai, the all sufficient One. He is more than enough and the source of all our blessings. In the midst of natural disasters, government instability, or cultural chaos, have no fear and do not be anxious. Nothing is too difficult for YAHWEH to handle. For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His nam

The Perfect Gift

Image
Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. — James 1:17 (NASB1995) Our heavenly Father is abundantly gracious and extremely generous. May we never forget the good things He does for us. The most perfect gift He gives us is Himself. In Hebrews 13:5 (NLT), God has said, “ I will never fail you. I will never abandon you. ” His Presence is our greatest blessing and benefit. In Matthew 28:20 (NLT), Jesus says: “ And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age. ” He is Immanuel, “ God With Us ”. When all others desert you, the Lord will stand with you. (See 2 Timothy 4:16-17) In His Presence is fullness of joy (See Psalm 16:11) and a peace which reassures the heart and transcends all understanding (See Philippians 4:7 AMP). In His Presence, He gives us power, strength and protection. (See Isaiah 40:29 & 2 Samuel 22:3 NLT) Thanks be to God for His indescribabl

Be Empowered

Image
I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. — Ephesians 3:16-17 (NLT) Open every corner and crevice of your heart to Christ, that through faith He may make your heart His home. And you will be empowered in your inner man through His Spirit. The LORD gives His people strength. Be deeply rooted and securely grounded in the unfailing, endless love of God. The love of the Anointed One is infinitely long, wide, high, and deep, surpassing everything anyone previously experienced. And may you come to know, through personal experience the love of Christ which far surpasses mere knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God so that you may have the richest experience of God’s presence in your lives, completely filled and flooded with God Himself. (See Ephesians 3:18-19 VOICE/AMP)

Rely on His Lovingkindness

Image
But I have trusted and relied on and been confident in Your lovingkindness and faithfulness; My heart shall rejoice and delight in Your salvation. — Psalm 13:5 (AMP) Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him, on those who hope for His lovingkindness, (Psalm 33:18 NASB1995). May we rely on the lovingkindness of the LORD. He is a God who protects and is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness and truth. (See Psalm 86:15 AMP) His lovingkindness extends to the heavens, His faithfulness reaches to the skies. (See Psalms 36:5 NASB1995) How precious is His unfailing love! All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of His wings. (See Psalm 36:7 NLT)  What then shall we say to all these things? If God is for us, who can be [successful] against us? He who did not spare [even] His own Son, but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things? (Romans 8:31-32 AMP) Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all

Boast Only in the LORD

Image
Thus says the LORD, “Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches; but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD who exercises lovingkindness, justice and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things,” declares the LORD. — Jeremiah 9:23-24 (NASB1995) Let no one boast in men, about their wisdom, their future plans, or of the material goods they possess. James 4:16 says: …as it is, you boast in your arrogance; all such boasting is evil. May we boast only in YAHWEH, He is clothed with splendor and majesty. His right hand is majestic in power, His right hand shatters the enemy. (See Exodus 15:6) He laid the foundation of the earth, and stretched out heaven like a tent curtain. He walks upon the wings of the wind; He makes the winds His messengers, flaming fire His ministers. (See Psalm 104:1-5)  Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Ch

Live Him

Image
My counsel for you is simple and straightforward: Just go ahead with what you’ve been given. You received Christ Jesus, the Master; now live him. You’re deeply rooted in him. You’re well constructed upon him. You know your way around the faith. Now do what you’ve been taught. School’s out; quit studying the subject and start living it! And let your living spill over into thanksgiving. — Colossians 2:6-7 (MSG) May we walk in union with Yeshua, reflecting His character in the things we do and say—living lives that lead others away from sin. (See Colossians 2:6 AMP) Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. (See Romans 12:1 MSG) Instead of conforming to this world and it’s culture, we are to be transformed by the Spirit of YAHWEH.  for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we

Seek the LORD

Image
Glory in His holy name; Let the hearts of those who seek and require the LORD [as their most essential need] rejoice. Seek and deeply long for the LORD and His strength [His power, His might]; Seek and deeply long for His face and His presence continually. — Psalms 105:3-4 (AMP) Seek the LORD while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. (Isaiah 55:6 NKJV) …you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul. (Deuteronomy 4:29 NKJV) Second Chronicles 12:14 (NKJV) says King Rehoboam did evil, because he did not prepare his heart to seek the LORD. Let us choose life and prepare our hearts to seek the LORD and His will. He is our most essential need. And those who know Your name [who have experienced Your precious mercy] will put their confident trust in You, for You, O LORD, have not abandoned those who seek You. (Psalm 9:10 AMP) And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth

Surrounded!

Image
As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people from this time forth and forever. — Psalm 125:2 (NASB1995) In Second Kings, the king of Aram was warring against Israel. When the attendant of the man of God had risen early and gone out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was circling the city. But the prophet Elisha told him, “ Don’t be afraid! For there are more on our side than on theirs! ” Then Elisha prayed, “O LORD, open his eyes and let him see!” The LORD opened the young man’s eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire. (See 2 Kings 6:8, 6:16-17)  May we have eyes to see that there are more with us, than are with the enemy. Remember, He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. (See 1 John 4:4) The LORD not only dwells in us, but He surrounds us, forever . Our help is in the name of the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. (Psalms 124:8 NASB1995) Nothing is too difficult for

Set Free!

Image
For He looked down from His holy height; from heaven the LORD gazed upon the earth, to hear the groaning of the prisoner, to set free those who were doomed to death, — Psalms 102:19-20 (NASB1995) We were doomed to death, but our heavenly Father rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, (See Colossians 1:13 NASB1995) Glory! HalleluYAH! He called us out of darkness and into His marvelous light. (See 1 Peter 2:9) It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery. For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. (Galatians 5:1, 5:13 NASB1995) The night is almost gone, and the day is near. Therefore let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. (Romans 13:12 NASB1995)  Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover or pretext for evil, but

Look to the LORD

Image
Unto you I lift up my eyes, O You who are enthroned in the heavens! Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, and as the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the LORD our God, until He is gracious and favorable toward us. — Psalm 123:1-2 (AMP) Look, and behold, the glory of the LORD. He is the LORD our God, who stirs up the sea, causing its waves to roar. His name is the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. (See Isaiah 51:15 NLT) O how bad it will be for you who look to the south to Egypt for help and depend on her horses, who trust in its many chariots and fix your hopes on its strong drivers. Yet you do not look to the Holy One of Israel for relief or even bother to consult Him. (Isaiah 31:1 VOICE) It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. (Psalm 118:8 NKJV) Set your sight upon the LORD, with great expectation. But as for me, I will look to the Eternal One, and my hope is in the True God who will save me. My God will hear

Overflowing Gratitude

Image
Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude... — Philippians 4:6 (TPT) Let us present our requests before our Heavenly Father, not with a sense of entitlement, but with a humble and grateful attitude. For great is the LORD and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods. (Psalm 96:4 NASB1995) Bless the LORD, O my soul! He is clothed with splendor and majesty. (See Psalm 104:1) The LORD is gracious and merciful; Slow to anger and great in lovingkindness. (Psalm 145:8)  The LORD has done great things for us. He formed our inward parts and wove us together in our mother's womb. Give thanks to YAHWEH, for we are fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are His works, and my soul knows it very well. (See Psalm 139:13-14 NASB1995) God made us in His image and likeness. (See Genesis 1:26 NKJV) All the days ordained for each one of us we

Continually Give Thanks

Image
in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. — 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (AMP) Being thankful begins with having an attitude of gratitude. Realizing that it is not because of our works that we deserve the good things of God, but by grace that He has generously given us all things that pertain to life and godliness. (See Ephesians 2:8-9 & 2 Peter 1:3)  It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to sing praises to the Most High. (Psalm 92:1 NLT) Give thanks to the LORD and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done. (Psalm 105:1) He forgives all our sins, heals all our diseases; He redeems our lives from the pit, and crowns us [lavishly] with lovingkindness and tender mercy; The LORD executes righteousness and justice for all the oppressed. (See Psalm 103:3-4,6 AMP) Give thanks to him who alone does mighty miracles. His faithful love endures forever. (Psalm 136

Live with Great Expectation

Image
All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation, and we have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay. — 1 Peter 1:3-4 (NLT) My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved. (Psalm 62:5-6 NKJV) Keep your hope anchored in the LORD. For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Eternal, “plans for peace, not evil, to give you a future and hope—never forget that.” (Jeremiah 29:11 VOICE)  Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you. — Psalm 25:5 (NLT)

Consider Christ

Image
Consider the life of the One who endured such personal attacks and hostility from sinners so that you will not grow weary or lose heart. — Hebrews 12:3 (VOICE) Think about Yeshua. For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps. He never sinned, nor ever deceived anyone. He did not retaliate when he was insulted, nor threaten revenge when he suffered. He left his case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly. He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed. (1 Peter 2:21-24 NLT) In this world we will have many troubles, trials and sufferings. There will be many battles to fight, but remember we have already won the war. Yeshua has triumphed over this corrupt world order. (See John 16:33 VOICE) In Him, we are more than conquerors and we too overcome. “...brethren, do not grow weary of doing go

Don't Wander

Image
For you were continually wandering like [so many] sheep, but now you have come back to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls. — 1 Peter 2:25 (AMP)  All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own.
Yet the LORD laid on him the sins of us all. Jesus bore the sin of many, and interceded for the transgressors. (See Isaiah 53:6, 53:12) Hebrews 3:10 (NASB1995) says, this generation always go astray in their heart, and they did not know the ways of the LORD. I was so foolish and ignorant— I must have seemed like a senseless animal to you. Yet I still belong to you; you hold my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny. (Psalm 73:22-24 NLT) Make a dedicated decision to abide in YAHWEH, in your heart and follow His ways.  The LORD will guide you continually, giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring.  — Isaiah 58:11 (NLT)

Comfort & Compassion

Image
Sing for joy, O heavens! Rejoice, O earth! Burst into song, O mountains! For the LORD has comforted his people and will have compassion on them in their suffering. — Isaiah 49:13 (NLT) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation… (See 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 NKJV) The LORD is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. The LORD is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all his creation. (Psalm 145:8-9 NLT) Psalm 103:4 (NASB1995) says, He crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion. This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope. The LORD’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:21-23 NASB1995) Receive His comfort and compassion today. “ Don’t tear your clothing in your grief, but tear your hearts instead. Return to the LORD your God, for he is merciful a

What Gets Your Attention?

Image
But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, — 1 Timothy 4:1 (NASB1995) We must be very careful and discerning of who or what we choose to give our attention to. Proverbs 16:20 (NASB1995) says: He who gives attention to the word will find good, and blessed is he who trusts in the LORD. May we be hearers and doers of the Word of God. In Proverbs 1:24-25 (NLT), Wisdom says: “I called you so often, but you wouldn’t come. I reached out to you, but you paid no attention. You ignored my advice and rejected the correction I offered.” We must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away from it. (See Hebrews 2:1 NASB1995) As we continually grow in our knowledge and application of the Word of God, we will be able to recognize what is not in alignment with the Holy Scriptures, and turn away from it. Just as it is written in the Law of Moses, all this tragedy

Remain Grateful

Image
He said, “I came naked from my mother’s womb, and I will be naked when I leave. The LORD gave me what I had, and the LORD has taken it away. Praise the name of the LORD!” — Job 1:21 (NLT) In response to losing all his children, and all of his possessions, Job did not sin nor did he blame God. (See Job 1:22) Instead, he fell to the ground and worshiped. (See Job 1:20) When we experience loss in this life, may we remain grateful for God’s Presence. Regardless of the presents and gifts, He is always with us. “…Shall we indeed accept good from God and not accept adversity?” (See Job 2:10) Remember that every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from God our Father. (See James 1:17) He sustains us with the breath of life, strength, and good health. Our time, talents and abilities are gifts from Him. All of our material possessions, our family and friends are gifts from our Heavenly Father. It’s nothing we did to deserve it. It’s only because of His goodness, grace and mercy th

Never Give Up

Image
That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! — 2 Corinthians 4:16-17 (NLT) Our temporary, outer self may be wasting away, but praise YAHWEH, our inner self is being renewed day by day! Let us not grow weary or become discouraged in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap, if we do not give in. (Galatians 6:9 AMP) The righteous keep moving forward, and those with clean hands become stronger and stronger. (Job 17:9 NLT) For I consider [from the standpoint of faith] that the sufferings of the present life are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us! (Romans 8:18 AMP)  I look forward to what’s in store for me: a crown of righteousness that the Lord—the always right and just judge—will give me that day (but it is not only for me, but for all t

Nothing Too Difficult

Image
‘Ah Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for You,  — Jeremiah 32:17 (NASB1995) O LORD, how great are Your works! Your thoughts are very deep. (Psalm 92:5 NKJV) Never drift away, nor draw back from YAHWEH. Stay anchored in the Lord. Let us declare His lovingkindness in the morning, and His faithfulness every night. (See Psalm 92:2 NKJV) Whatever storms come, the LORD of Heaven’s Armies is faithful to bring you through it. Nothing is too difficult for Him. When you go through deep waters, He will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. (See Isaiah 43:2 NLT) Glory belongs to God, whose power is at work in us. By this power he can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine. Glory belongs to God in the church and in Christ Jesus for all time and eternity
