Rest

Image
The LORD is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. — Psalm 23:1-3 (NLT) Even God, Creator of the universe took a day of rest. Genesis 2:2 (NASB) says: By the seventh day God completed His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. He offers a resting place for me in his luxurious love. His tracks take me to an oasis of peace, the quiet brook of bliss. That’s where he restores and revives my life… (Psalm 23:2-3a TPT) Rest in the LORD and feed on His faithfulness.

Praise His Name!

Image
Who has ascended into heaven and descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has wrapped the waters in His garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name or His Son’s name? Surely you know! — Proverbs 30:4 (NASB) Jehovah, the Eternal, Self-Existent One. The great “I AM”! Elohim, our all-powerful Creator. God is El Roi, the God Who sees us. He is Adonai, the Lord, and owner of our lives. He is Jehovah-Rapha, the Healer of our spirit, soul, and body. He is our Ever-Present God, Jehovah-Shammah and Jehovah-Shalom, our peace. O praise the name of the LORD! And the name above all names: JESUS. Immanuel, God with us. From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the LORD is to be praised. (Psalm 113:3) …at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, — Philippians 2:10 (NASB)

Why Hide?

Image
I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence! If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there. If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me. — Psalm 139:7-10 (NLT) Why try to hide from God? The eyes of the LORD are in every place, watching the evil and the good. (Proverbs 15:3 NASB) The nearness of God is our good. (See Psalm 73:28) Even darkness is not dark to the LORD, and the night is as bright as the day. Darkness and light are alike to HIm. (See Psalm 139:12) Praise God that He is always by our side. He dwells in us and around us. He never abandons us. One thing I have asked from the LORD, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD and to meditate in His temple. — Psalm 27:4 (NASB)

The Flock Under His Care

Image
Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the LORD our maker, for he is our God. We are the people he watches over, the flock under his care. If only you would listen to his voice today! — Psalm 95:6-7 (NLT) Shout with joy to the LORD all the earth! Worship the LORD with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy. Acknowledge that the LORD is God! He made us, and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation. (Psalm 100 NLT) Bow down before the LORD our Maker in reverent praise and prayer. Know and fully recognize with gratitude that the LORD Himself is God, and He is so worthy of all our worship, adoration and praise.

Live in the Light

Image
The way of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, which shines ever brighter until the full light of day.  — Proverbs 4:18 (NLT) This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. (1 John 1:5-7 NASB) Let us live, talk and walk as children of the Light.

Blessed be the LORD

Image
Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting even to everlasting. And let all the people say, “Amen.” Praise the LORD! — Psalm 106:48 (NASB) As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; When shall I come and appear before God? (Psalm 42:1-2) NASB) Let the deepest longing of our hearts, be for more of Him. May our first priority of the day be to appear before our great and loving God and present ourselves to Him as living sacrifices.  Let all that I am praise the LORD; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. — Psalm 103:1 (NLT)

Always Remember

Image
And they remembered that God was their rock, and the Most High God their Redeemer. — Psalm 78:35 (NASB) Always remember that El Elyon, is the God Most High. He is higher than any mountain that stands before you. He is above any material possession you may desire or any human being you may have placed on a pedestal. He is higher than that stack of bills or that doctor’s report. I will cry to God Most High, Who accomplishes all things on my behalf [for He completes my purpose in His plan]. (Psalm 57:2 AMP) For the LORD Most High is to be feared [and worshiped with awe-inspired reverence and obedience]; He is a great King over all the earth. (Psalm 47:2 AMP) I will give thanks to the LORD according to His righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High. (Psalm 7:17 NASB) I will be glad and celebrate You! I will praise You, O Most High! (Psalm 9:2 VOICE)

Build on Solid Rock

Image
“So why do you keep calling me ‘Lord, Lord!’ when you don’t do what I say? I will show you what it’s like when someone comes to me, listens to my teaching, and then follows it. It is like a person building a house who digs deep and lays the foundation on solid rock. When the floodwaters rise and break against that house, it stands firm because it is well built.” — Luke 6:46-48 (NLT) Dig deep and lay the foundation of your life on solid rock. Three things are involved in building our lives on solid rock. First, we must come to Jesus. Second, we need to open our ears and listen to His teaching. And the third is to do it, follow His Word. “…wisdom is shown to be right by the lives of those who follow it.” (Luke 7:35 NLT)

What Great Love!

Image
Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. — Ephesians 1:4-5 (NLT) God had you on His mind before He laid the foundation of the world. His thoughts of you are more numerous than the grains of sand. He is so intimately acquainted with you that He knows the number of hairs on your head. What great love the Father has lavished upon us that we should be called children of God! When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to un

Why Worry?

Image
“ Does worry add anything to your life? Can it add one more year, or even one day? So if worrying adds nothing, but actually subtracts from your life, why would you worry about God’s care of you? ” — Luke 12:25-26 (TPT) Why worry when we were created to worship our great God and Creator? Instead, cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. Blessed be the Lord, who bears our burden day by day, the God who is our salvation! Selah. (Psalm 68:19 AMP) Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you. — Ephesians 3:20 (TPT)

God is with Us

Image
And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David; — Luke 1:31-32 (NASB) Isaiah 7:14 (NLT) says: All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means ‘God is with us’). No matter what you are going through, or what this day may bring forth, remember that God is with us. And victory belongs to the LORD. (See Proverbs 21:31) The LORD is my strength and my song; he has given me victory. This is my God, and I will praise him— my father’s God, and I will exalt him! — Exodus 15:2 (NLT)

Stay on Course

Image
He is on the path of life who heeds instruction, but he who ignores reproof goes astray. — Proverbs 10:17 (NASB) You’re blessed when you stay on course, walking steadily on the road revealed by God. You’re blessed when you follow his directions, doing your best to find him. That’s right—you don’t go off on your own; you walk straight along the road he set. You, God, prescribed the right way to live; now you expect us to live it. Oh, that my steps might be steady, keeping to the course you set; (Psalm 119:1-5 MSG) Oh, that my ways may be established to observe and keep Your statutes [obediently accepting and honoring them]! — Psalm 119:5 (AMP)

Press On!

Image
No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. — Philippians 3:13-14 (NLT) Let us press on toward the purpose God has for us. May we learn from past mistakes and keep moving forward on the path set before us. The plans the LORD has for us are good and not for disaster, to give us a future and a hope. (See Jeremiah 29:11) For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. (Romans 8:18 NASB)

Strip it Off

Image
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. — Hebrews 12:1-2 (NLT) Let us strip off every unnecessary weight that hinders us from running our race, and the sin which so easily entangles us. Strip off unforgiveness, bitterness and pride. Let go of any offense, and love the way our heavenly Father loves us. May we take our eyes off of the challenges, stop comparing our race with our neighbor's course and fix them on our Champion, Jesus the Christ. Then we will be able to run our race with passion and persistence. Amen.

Consider it All Joy

Image
Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. — James 1:2-4 (NASB) What the devil intends for evil, God will use and eventually work everything together for good. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. As we learn to endure the challenges and hardships of life, our faith develops and we grow stronger and more mature. The Voice Bible says our faith will blossom under pressure and teach us true patience as we endure. And true patience brought on by endurance will equip us to complete the long journey and cross the finish line—mature, complete, and wanting nothing. Just as Jesus overcame the world, we too shall overcome the obstacles we face in this life. I encourage you, dear brothers and sisters, to fight the good fight, finish the course, keep the faith; (See 2 Timothy 4:7 NASB) And don’t let

Strength & Peace

Image
The LORD will give strength to His people; The LORD will bless His people with peace. — Psalm 29:11 (NASB)  The LORD is our Source of strength and everlasting peace. No matter what earthly circumstances come, you can remain in peace because our help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth! (See Psalm 121:2 NLT) Jehovah himself will watch over you; he’s always at your side to shelter you safely in his presence. He’s protecting you from all danger both day and night. (Psalm 121:5-6 TPT) The Eternal will keep you safe from all of life’s evils, from your first breath to the last breath you breathe, from this day and forever. (Psalm 121:7-8 VOICE) “ Don’t be afraid, for you are very precious to God. Peace! Be encouraged! Be strong! ” (from Daniel 10:19a)

Worship God Only

Image
“ From here on, worshiping the Father will not be a matter of the right place but with the right heart. For God is a Spirit, and he longs to have sincere worshipers who worship and adore him in the realm of the Spirit and in truth. ” — John 4:23-24 (TPT) May we live a life of worship to our mighty God at all times, no matter where we are and who may be with us. Live for an audience of One, not as a people-pleaser, but as one who pleases our heavenly Father. He is our Source. Let us put God first in all that we do. He is so gracious and merciful toward us. Every gift God freely gives us is good and perfect, streaming down from the Father of lights, who shines from the heavens with no hidden shadow or darkness and is never subject to change. (James 1:17 TPT)

He’s Already There

Image
“I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.” — Revelation 1:8 (NLT) Jesus is the beginning and the end. That means that whatever this day holds for you, He is already there. He has already made a way for you, just keep following Him. He saw you before you were born. Every day of your life is recorded in His book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. (See Psalm 139:16) Since He woke you up this morning, know that He has a plan and a purpose for you today. So keep your eyes on Jesus, the Almighty One, and stand strong on the Word of God which lasts forever. Have faith in Him in all circumstances, dear people. Open up your heart to Him; the True God shelters us in His arms. [pause] — Psalm 62:8 (VOICE)

Beseech Him

Image
And a leper came to Jesus, beseeching Him and falling on his knees before Him, and saying, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.” Moved with compassion, Jesus stretched out His hand and touched him, and *said to him, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cleansed. — Mark 1:40-42 (NASB) Jesus is always willing to bring healing and wholeness into our lives. Compassion moved Jesus to pay the debt for our sins. He gave His life to save us. Come to Jesus today, with a humble heart. Fall on your knees before the Lord. He was sent to proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed, (See Luke 4:18). Beseech (implore, beg, plead with) Him today.

Let Your Light Shine

Image
Do all things without grumbling or disputing; so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world, — Philippians 2:14-15 (NASB) Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 5:16 NASB) May you let the light of God shine through you everywhere you go. For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ. (2 Corinthians 4:6 NLT) Open the eyes of their hearts, and let the light of Your truth flood in. Shine Your light on the hope You are calling them to embrace. Reveal to them the glorious riches You are preparing as their inheritance. — Ephesians 1:18 (VOICE)

Drawn with Unfailing Love

Image
Long ago the LORD said to Israel: “I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.” — Jeremiah 31:3 (NLT) Today, the LORD still draws us to Himself, with love. All the paths of the LORD are lovingkindness and goodness and truth and faithfulness to those who keep His covenant and His testimonies. (Psalm 25:10 AMP) I will be glad and rejoice in your unfailing love, for you have seen my troubles, and you care about the anguish of my soul. (Psalm 31:7 NLT) May we submit to God and allow His lovingkindness to draw us closer and deeper into Him.  “O LORD, God of Israel, there is no God like you in all of heaven and earth. You keep your covenant and show unfailing love to all who walk before you in wholehearted devotion.” (2 Chronicles 6:14 NLT) Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the LORD forever. (Psalm 23:6 NLT)

Because He Cares

Image
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God [set aside self-righteous pride], so that He may exalt you [to a place of honor in His service] at the appropriate time, casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully]. — 1 Peter 5:6-7 (AMP) Cast your cares upon the LORD and leave them there, because He cares for you. God does not want you anxious, in despair, or heavily burdened. Let us humble ourselves (admit we cannot do it in our own strength) and trust our heavenly Father. His Holy Spirit within us enables us to rise up in His power and fulfill the purpose and good plans He has for our lives.

Just Do It!

Image
You shall walk after the LORD your God and you shall fear [and worship] Him [with awe-filled reverence and profound respect], and you shall keep His commandments and you shall listen to His voice, and you shall serve Him, and cling to Him. — Deuteronomy 13:4 (AMP) May we humbly worship the LORD our God with reverence and respect. Keep His commands. The two greatest: love the LORD your God with all your heart, soul and mind, and love your neighbor as you love yourself. Listen to His voice. Keep your ears tuned in to hear the still small voice of the Holy Spirit within. Serve Him. Whatever He gives you to do, just do it. Cling to Him. That means we hold onto Him more dearly than any earthly possession. Amen. “I, even I, am the LORD, and there is no savior besides Me. “It is I who have declared and saved and proclaimed, and there was no strange god among you; so you are My witnesses,” declares the LORD, “And I am God.” — Isaiah 43:11-12 (NASB)

Walk by Faith

Image
for we walk by faith, not by sight [living our lives in a manner consistent with our confident belief in God’s promises] — 2 Corinthians 5:7 (AMP) Let us be consistent in our faith walk, living moment by moment and day after day strong in our faith. Believing our heavenly Father, more than the temporary things we see with our physical eyes. Don't let the enemy steal your joy, or anything else. Keep your trust in God and His wonderful promises. Abba Father is a good God and He is faithful. But without faith it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6 AMP)

Take Courage

Image
Meanwhile, the disciples were in trouble far away from land, for a strong wind had risen, and they were fighting heavy waves. About three o’clock in the morning Jesus came toward them, walking on the water. — Matthew 14:24-25 (NLT) But Jesus spoke to them at once. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage. I am here!” — Matthew 14:27 (NLT) Jesus always comes to our rescue and delivers us out of our troubles. If you are in the midst of a storm. He is saying the same thing He said to His disciples: “ Don’t be afraid ,” he said. “ Take courage. I am here! ”

Keep at It

Image
“Trust [confidently] in the LORD forever [He is your fortress, your shield, your banner], for the LORD God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages].” — Isaiah 26:4 (AMP) The Message Bible says: Depend on God and keep at it because in the LORD God you have a sure thing. (Isaiah 26:4) The just live by faith. No matter what the circumstances, be consistent in believing God and standing on His Word. He is strong, stable, trustworthy, and lasting. Keep a continual conversation going with your heavenly Father, throughout the day. Stay connected to vine, Christ Jesus. Keep at it and don’t stop.

There is No Other

Image
John the Baptist, who was in prison, heard about all the things the Messiah was doing. So he sent his disciples to ask Jesus, “Are you the Messiah we’ve been expecting, or should we keep looking for someone else?”  — Matthew 11:2-3 (NLT) The woman *said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming (He who is called Christ); when that One comes, He will declare all things to us.” Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am He.” (John 14:25-26 NASB) Jesus is the Expected One, the Messiah. There is no other. Seek the LORD while He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near. (Isaiah 55:6 NASB) “ Stop weeping; behold, the Lion that is from the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome …” — Revelation 5:5 (NASB)

He Sees You

Image
Jesus was going through all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness. Seeing the people, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and dispirited like sheep without a shepherd. — Matthew 9:35-36 (NASB) You are not just part of the crowd. Jesus sees you and He has compassion for you. You are not forgotten. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. (Matthew 10:30 NASB) Follow Jesus, the good Shepherd. He lays down His life for the sheep. (Matthew 10:11) May we share the Good News with others. The LORD is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. — Psalm 23:1-3 (NLT)

He is Willing

Image
When Jesus came down from the mountain, large crowds followed Him. And a leper came to Him and bowed down before Him, and said, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” Jesus stretched out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. — Matthew 8:1-3 (NASB) Know that Jesus is always willing to bring healing and wholeness into your life. Jesus beckons us to come to Him. Matthew 8:1 says, large crowds followed Jesus, but it was the leper who stepped up to the plate and spoke to Jesus about his ailment. Let us follow Jesus, every day. May we surrender all and submit to Him. He will show us the way that leads to a healthy, abundant and fruitful life. The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. — John 10:10 (NLT)

Welcome Him

Image
Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. — Revelation 3:20 (NASB) But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the right [the authority, the privilege] to become children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name— (John 1:12 AMP) Jesus stands at the door of our hearts and knocks. Let us welcome Him into our minds and hearts. And worship Him, the King of kings and Lord of Lords. Look with wonder at the depth of the Father’s marvelous love that he has lavished on us! He has called us and made us his very own beloved children. (1 John 3:1a TPT)

Worry or Worship

Image
“So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”  — Matthew 6:34 (NASB) Worry happens when we dwell on the lies of the enemy. Meditate on the promises of God and keep your trust in His goodness and faithfulness. Turn your worry into worship. Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. (See Hebrews 11:6) When You said, “Seek My face,” my heart said to You, “Your face, O LORD, I shall seek.” — Psalm 27:8 (NASB)
