Child of God

Image
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. — John 1:12-13 (NKJV) The Spirit Himself testifies and confirms together with our spirit [assuring us] that we [believers] are children of God. (Romans 8:16 AMP) And because we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, “ Abba, Father .” (Galatians 4:6 NLT) What an honor and a privilege to be called a child of God. Even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us to be in Christ. We were called into a relationship, not a religion. We have a good, good Father, Who loves us unconditionally. He protects us, He provides for us and He guides us. His desire is for us to continually draw closer to Him, and grow in our knowledge of Him. As we fellowship with our Heavenly Father, His Holy Spirit works in us to become more like

Patient Endurance

Image
So don’t allow your hearts to grow dull or lose your enthusiasm, but follow the example of those who fully received what God has promised because of their strong faith and patient endurance. — Hebrews 6:12 (TPT) Let us follow Abraham’s example. He waited patiently in faith and succeeded in seeing the promise fulfilled. (See Hebrews 6:13-15) My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. (James 1:2-4 NKJV) Quiet your heart in his presence and wait patiently for Yahweh…(Psalm 37:7a TPT) May the Lord lead your hearts into a full understanding and expression of the love of God and the patient endurance that comes from Christ. — 2 Thessalonians 3:5 (NLT)

Never Thirst

Image
For the LORD God is our sun and our shield.  He gives us grace and glory.  The LORD will withhold no good thing  from those who do what is right.  — Psalm 84:11 (NLT) If your cup is empty, you are looking to the wrong thing to fill it. The things of this world will never satisfy our thirsty souls. Psalm 23:5 (NLT) says: My cup overflows with blessings. Everything we could ever need for life and godliness has already been deposited in us by his divine power. For all this was lavished upon us through the rich experience of knowing him who has called us by name and invited us to come to him through a glorious manifestation of his goodness. (2 Peter 1:3 TPT) “...if anyone drinks the living water I give them, they will never be thirsty again. For when you drink the water I give you, it becomes a gushing fountain of the Holy Spirit, flooding you with endless life!”  — John 4:14 (TPT)

The Power of Love

Image
So now I live with the confidence that there is nothing in the universe with the power to separate us from God’s love. I’m convinced that his love will triumph over death, life’s troubles, fallen angels, or dark rulers in the heavens. There is nothing in our present or future circumstances that can weaken his love. There is no power above us or beneath us—no power that could ever be found in the universe that can distance us from God’s passionate love, which is lavished upon us through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One! — Romans 8:38-39 (TPT) Be convinced, beyond any doubt, that God’s love triumphs over all of the troubles and trials we go through in life, including death. God’s love triumphs over the work of the enemy, and the dark forces of wickedness. Nothing we have said or done can weaken the love He has for us. Thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ. (See 2 Corinthians 2:14 NASB) We win! “No man will [be able to] stand before you [to oppose you] as long as you

Come Worship

Image
I was glad when they said to me,  “Let’s go to the house of the LORD.”  — Psalm 122:1 (NASB) Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. (Psalm 100:4 NKJV) Be in awe before his majesty. Be in awe before such power and might! Come worship wonderful Yahweh, arrayed in all his splendor, bowing in worship as he appears in the beauty of holiness. Give him the honor due his name. Worship him wearing the glory-garments of your holy, priestly calling! (Psalm 29:2 TPT) …“Holy, Holy, Holy, is the LORD of armies. The whole earth is full of His glory.” — Isaiah 6:3 (NASB)

Joy & Peace

Image
For you will go out with joy and be led in peace; the mountains and the hills will break into shouts of joy before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. — Isaiah 55:12 (NASB) The joy of the LORD is your strength, enabling you to press on. Go out with joy and be led in peace. For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. (Romans 14:17) If you are a believer, God’s kingdom realm is within you.  I will rejoice greatly in the LORD, my soul will be joyful in my God; for He has clothed me with garments of salvation, He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness, (See Isaiah 61:10 NASB). Yahweh will keep in perfect peace all who trust in Him, all whose thoughts are fixed on Him! (See Isaiah 26:3 NLT) We do not have to be shaken by world events, because Isaiah 54:10 (NASB) tells us, His favor will not be removed from us, nor will His covenant of peace be shaken. Let God’s peace, which

Great Reward

Image
So don’t lose your bold, courageous faith, for you are destined for a great reward!  — Hebrews 10:35 (TPT) We tend to grow weary when we look back at all we have been through. Instead, look ahead. Hebrews 12:2 (NLT) says Jesus disregarded its shame and endured the cross because of the joy awaiting Him. Now He is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. Hebrews 12:2b (TPT) says: Because his heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be his, he endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God! So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. (Galatians 6:9 NLT) God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.  — James 1:12 (NLT)

Remain

Image
And now, dear children, remain in fellowship with Christ so that when he returns, you will be full of courage and not shrink back from him in shame. — 1 John 2:28 (NLT) We have this certain hope like a strong, unbreakable anchor holding our souls to God himself. (Hebrews 6:19a TPT) Let us remain in constant communion with Christ.  ...lean completely on God with absolute trust and confidence in His guidance, and having a good conscience; for some people have rejected their moral compass and have made a shipwreck of their faith. (See 1 Timothy 1:19 AMP) Fight the good fight, finish the course, and keep the faith. (See 2 Timothy 4:7 NASB)

Listen Carefully

Image
“Why do you spend money for that which is not bread, and your earnings for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight in abundance.” — Isaiah 55:2 (AMP) Why spend your time on things of no spiritual benefit? Why use all of your energy and resources on temporal things that have no eternal value? “Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and you who have no money come, buy grain and eat. Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost [simply accept it as a gift from God].” (Isaiah 55:1 AMP) “Come to me with your ears wide open. Listen, and you will find life. I will make an everlasting covenant with you. I will give you all the unfailing love I promised to David.”  (Isaiah 55:3 NLT) Seek the LORD while He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near. — Isaiah 55:6 (NASB)

Faithful & Just

Image
If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. — 1 John 1:9 (NLT) Sin separates us from our heavenly Father, but when we confess our sins, we are restored and have unbroken fellowship with Him. So now the case is closed. There remains no accusing voice of condemnation against those who are joined in life-union with Jesus, the Anointed One. (Romans 8:1 TPT) As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our wrongdoings from us. (Psalm 103:12 NASB) “ And may you be completely faithful to the LORD our God. May you always obey his decrees and commands... ” — 1 Kings 8:61 (NLT)

Great Power

Image
We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves. — 2 Corinthians 4:7 (NLT) We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. Through suffering, our bodies continue to share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies. (2 Corinthians 4:8-10 NLT) In John 16:33, Jesus told us we would have trouble in this world, but praise the Lord, we shall overcome! Our victory comes from the LORD. “It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies.” (See Zechariah 4:6 NLT)

The Way

Image
Establish my footsteps in [the way of] Your word; Do not let any human weakness have power over me [causing me to be separated from You]. — Psalm 119:133 (AMP) The Word is a lamp to guide our feet and a light for our path (See Psalm 119:105). May we understand the heart of our heavenly Father. He loves us so deeply and truly wants what is best for us. He wants us to abide in Him and follow His instructions so we can live an abundant life of righteousness, peace and joy in His Holy Spirit. (See John 10:10 and Romans 14:17) Never be enticed by our enemy to do his will. He is a liar and only wants to kill, steal and destroy. Don’t be deceived. Read the Word of God, believe the Word and live His Word. Make Your face shine upon Your servant, and teach me Your statutes. My eyes shed streams of water, because they do not keep Your law. Righteous are You, O LORD, and upright are Your judgments. — Psalm 119:135-137 (NASB)

He Will Do It

Image
“God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken and will He not make it good and fulfill it?” — Numbers 23:19 (AMP) The God Most High (El Elyon) does not lie. He is a Promise Keeper. His word which goes forth from His mouth will not return to Him empty, without accomplishing what He desires, and without succeeding in the matter for which He sent it. (See Isaiah 55:11 NASB). The LORD is a Way Maker. He makes a way through the sea and a path through the mighty waters (See Isaiah 43:16 NASB). And He has already made a way through whatever storm you may be facing. Don’t become spiritually dull and indifferent, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. (See Hebrews 6:12 NLT/NKJV) Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. (Hebrews 10:23 NKJV) For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God throu

He’s There

Image
God, investigate my life; get all the facts firsthand. I’m an open book to you; even from a distance, you know what I’m thinking. You know when I leave and when I get back; I’m never out of your sight. You know everything I’m going to say before I start the first sentence. I look behind me and you’re there, then up ahead and you’re there, too— your reassuring presence, coming and going. This is too much, too wonderful— I can’t take it all in! — Psalm 139:1-6 (MSG) The Most High God is Yahweh-Shammah, our ever-present God. Let His Presence be your hope and your confidence. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” (See Hebrews 13:5 NKJV) As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people from this time forth and forever. (Psalm 125:2 NKJV)

He Guides

Image
The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you. — Psalm 32:8 NLT God’s path for us is the BEST way. When we veer off the path Elohim has for us, to do our own thing, know that it is less than God’s best. Just as the heavens are higher than the earth, His ways are higher than our ways. (See Isaiah 55:9) The LORD will guide us and counsel us, but we need to be willing to listen and learn. Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track. (Proverbs 3:5-6 MSG) Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and turn away from evil. (Proverbs 3:7 NASB)

Don’t be Surprised

Image
Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. Instead, be very glad ... — 1 Peter 4:12-13a (NLT) The Amplified Bible explains that the fiery ordeal which is taking place is to test the quality of our faith. In John 16:33, Jesus warned His disciples that here on earth we will have many trials and sorrows. But He instructed us to be courageous and filled with joy, because He has overcome the world. And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. (Romans 8:28 AMP)

Come Back

Image
But I have this against you: you have abandoned the passionate love you had for me at the beginning — Revelation 2:4 (TPT) Don’t be like the church in Ephesus who left their first love. We are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” (See 2 Corinthians 5:20 NLT) Behold, Jesus stands at the door of your heart knocking. If you hear His voice and open the door, He will come in to you and will dine with you and you with Him. (See Revelation 3:20 NASB) “ Bring me everyone who is called by my name, the ones I created to experience my glory. I myself formed them to be who they are and made them for my glory. ” — Isaiah 43:7 (TPT)

Stand Firm

Image
He said, “Praise the name of God forever and ever, for he has all wisdom and power. He controls the course of world events; he removes kings and sets up other kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the scholars.” — Daniel 2:20-21 (NLT) Those who follow Christ need not be anxious or fearful of world events, because the Sovereign LORD is in control. For the Scriptures say, “‘As surely as I live,’ says the LORD,‘every knee will bend to me, and every tongue will declare allegiance to God.’” (Romans 4:11 NLT) Our heavenly Father delivers His people out of all their troubles. (See Psalm 34:17) There will be troubles but He has given us victory in Jesus. Let the Church (believers) be awake and alert, and stay committed to Elohim. Put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. (See Ephesians 6:13 NLT)

Turn to the LORD

Image
That is why the LORD says, “Turn to me now, while there is time. Give me your hearts. Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning. Don’t tear your clothing in your grief, but tear your hearts instead.” Return to the LORD your God, for he is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. He is eager to relent and not punish. — Joel 2:12-13 (NLT) Repent and return to the LORD. Joel 2:25 says, He will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust. He will pour out His Spirit on all mankind (see Joel 2:28) and everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved (see Joel 2:32). Thousands upon thousands are waiting in the valley of decision (see Joel 3:14). Don’t wait. Today is the day of salvation. Call upon the LORD of Heaven’s Armies today. The LORD of Heaven’s Armies is here among us; the God of Israel is our fortress. Interlude — Psalm 46:7 (NLT)

The Door

Image
So Jesus said to them again, “Truly, truly I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.” — John 10:7, 9 (NASB) Jesus is the Door; anyone who enters through Him will be saved [and will live forever], and will go in and out [freely], and find pasture (spiritual security). (See John 10:9 AMP) Jesus is the Door, leading to life. He openly gives us access to the Father. Anyone who goes through Him will be cared for, and will experience a more abundant life and true freedom. Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, let’s approach God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. (Hebrews 10:19, 110:22 NASB) ...let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy for our failures, and we will find Hi

A Vital Necessity

Image
Then [with a deep longing] you will seek Me and require Me [as a vital necessity] and [you will] find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. — Jeremiah 29:13 (AMP) Set your heart and your soul to seek first and daily Elohim and His Kingdom. Require Him as a vital necessity. When you look for Him wholeheartedly, you will find Him. Be still and know, recognize, and understand that He is God. He will be honored by every nation. He will be honored throughout the world. (See Psalm 46:10 NLT/AMP) Seek the LORD [search diligently for Him and regard Him as the foremost necessity of your life] … — Zephaniah 2:3 (AMP)

He Leads with Love

Image
The LORD leads with unfailing love and faithfulness all who keep his covenant and obey his demands. — Psalm 25:10 (NLT) The LORD is good and does what is right; he shows the proper path to those who go astray. He leads the humble in doing right, teaching them his way. (Psalm 25:8-9 NLT) If you truly want to dwell forever in God’s presence, forsake evil and do what is right in his eyes. (Psalm 37:27 TPT) Show me the right path, O LORD; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you. — Psalm 25:4-5 (NLT)

“Can these bones live?”

Image
Then He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” And I answered, “Lord God, You Yourself know.” — Ezekiel 37:3 (NASB) The Spirit of the LORD led Ezekiel to a valley filled with dead bones. Ezekiel 37:2 says they were completely dried out. Then the LORD said to Ezekiel, “Speak a prophetic message to these bones and say, ‘Dry bones, listen to the word of the LORD!'” (Ezekiel 37:4) The first step in going from death to life is to LISTEN to the Word of the LORD. In Ezekiel 37:7 Ezekiel spoke the message, just as the LORD told him. Suddenly as He spoke, there was a rattling noise all across the valley. The bones of each body came together and attached themselves as complete skeletons. In Ezekiel 37:10 Ezekiel spoke the message as the LORD commanded him, and breath came into their bodies. They all came to life and stood up on their feet—a great army. May we listen to and speak the powerful, living Word of God over dead relationships and dead situations in our lives. Elohim, our a

Our Shepherd

Image
The LORD is my Shepherd [to feed, to guide and to shield me], I shall not want. — Psalm 23:1 (AMP)
We shall not be in want because the Shepherd provides for all our needs. He is a shield of protection to His flock. Our Shepherd refreshes and restores my soul (life); He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. (See Psalm 23:3 AMP) Even when our path goes through dark valleys, we do not have to fear because He is with us, and He will lead us through. Never stray away. Closely follow Jesus, the Good Shepherd. Know His voice and answer when He calls.

Be Thankful

Image
in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. — 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (AMP) We enter his gates with thanksgiving and go into His courts with praise. Let us continually give thanks to Elohim and praise His name. (See Psalm 100:4) May we always be thankful for all our heavenly Father has provided. As we count our numerous blessings, it keeps us in touch with the greatness and kindness of our mighty God.

Don’t Hide

Image
“ You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. ” — Matthew 5:14-16 (NLT) As followers of Christ, we are to be light and shine out. We are not to hide in the corner or in a closet. Do everything without complaining and arguing, so that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people. (Philippians 2:14-15 NLT). As the Amplified Bible says, we live in the midst of a morally crooked and spiritually perverted generation, but we are to be seen as bright lights, beacons that shine out clearly in the world of darkness. May we be that city set on a hill, that the lost can come to and be healed and restored.

Our Mission

Image
Once your life was full of sin’s darkness, but now you have the very light of our Lord shining through you because of your union with him. Your mission is to live as children flooded with his revelation-light! And the supernatural fruits of his light will be seen in you—goodness, righteousness, and truth. — Ephesians 5:8-9 (TPT) In the past, we were full of darkness, but now we are people of light. Our mission is to live as children of light. God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all. (See 1 John 1:5) Let His light flood your entire being, and every area of your life. As the Amplified Bible says, let our lifestyles be examples of what is most acceptable to Him. And His light within us will produce only what is good and right and true. Carefully determine what pleases the Lord (Ephesians 5:10 NLT) and do it. “ Examine your motives to make sure you’re not showing off when you do your good deeds, only to be admired by others; otherwise, you will lose the reward of your heavenly

Need Help?

Image
I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth! He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. — Psalm 121:1-3 (NLT) The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. (Psalm 34:17 NLT) The LORD is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving. (Psalm 28:7 NLT) Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces. (Psalm 34:5 NLT) Put your hope in the LORD. He is our help and our shield. (See Psalm 33:20 NLT) Commit everything you do to the LORD. Trust him, and he will help you. (Psalm 37:5 NLT)

Live in the Light

Image
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; — 1 Peter 2:9 (NASB) We have been called out of darkness. We are accepted and chosen to be children of Elohim, the all-powerful Creator of the universe. We are to be set apart from the darkness of this world, not succumb to it. Be holy and live in the light as our heavenly Father is holy. This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all. So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth. But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin. (1 John 5:7 NLT)

Seek after God

Image
“ His purpose was for the nations to seek after God and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him—though he is not far from any one of us. ” — Acts 17:27 (NLT) Seek after God. …for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’ (Acts 17:28 NKJV) Look with wonder at the depth of the Father’s marvelous love that he has lavished on us! He has called us and made us his very own beloved children... (1 John 3:1 TPT) As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants for You, God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; When shall I come and appear before God? (Psalm 42:1-2 NASB) How lovely are Your dwelling places, LORD of armies! My soul longed and even yearned for the courtyards of the LORD; My heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God. (Psalm 84:1-2 NASB)
