Take Heart!

“ I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. ” John 16:33 (NIV) Here on earth we will have many trials and sorrows, but Jesus encouraged us to be of good cheer because He has overcome the world. We are children of God and we also overcome, because the One who is in us is greater than the one who is in the world. With God we will gain the victory (Psalm 60:12). Glory hallelujah!

"I've had Enough!"

Frightened, Elijah fled to save his life. He came to Beersheba in Judah and left his servant there. Then he traveled through the wilderness for a day. He sat down under a broom plant and wanted to die. “I’ve had enough now, LORD,” he said. 1 Kings 19:3-4 (GW) How many times have we felt like the prophet Elijah and told God we have had enough? At times like these, remember that God will never let you be pushed past your limit; he'll always be there to help you come through it (1 Corinthians 10:13, The Message). Elijah was fleeing for his life because he was fearful. His fear drove him into the wilderness. Instead of getting caught up in fear, let us faithfully follow the LORD. God has not given us a spirit of fear. He has given us a spirit of power, love and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

God will Work it Out!

Though I am surrounded by troubles, you will protect me from the anger of my enemies. You reach out your hand, and the power of your right hand saves me. The LORD will work out his plans for my life— for your faithful love, O LORD, endures forever. Don’t abandon me, for you made me. Psalm 138:7-8 (NLT) The LORD will work out, whatever concerns you. He has plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). God is faithful and you are His beloved. Be confident that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion. Amen.

Got Wisdom?

If any of you needs wisdom to know what you should do, you should ask God, and he will give it to you. God is generous to everyone and doesn’t find fault with them. James 1:5 (GW) Are you experiencing a dilemma? If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, who gives to all liberally and He will give it to you. Wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul (Proverbs 2:10). Blessed are those who find wisdom.

Count on the LORD

I am counting on the LORD; yes, I am counting on him. I have put my hope in his word. I long for the Lord more than sentries long for the dawn, yes, more than sentries long for the dawn. Psalm 130:5-6 (NLT) When we count on the LORD, we put more faith in His Word than in any other report we receive. We don't dwell on any thoughts, ideas or suggestions the devil sends our way. Instead we meditate on the perfect Word of God. Long for the LORD, more than the worker looks for the end of his shift. We can count on Him, to be there for us at all times.

Confidently Hope in the LORD

THOSE WHO trust in, lean on, and confidently hope in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but abides and stands fast forever. As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about His people from this time forth and forever. Psalm 125:1-2 (Amp) When we trust in and lean on the LORD, we will endure forever. The LORD surrounds his people, both now and forevermore. With God on our side, we will not be defeated. With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies (Psalm 60:12).

Free as a Bird!

Oh, blessed be God! He didn't go off and leave us. He didn't abandon us defenseless, helpless as a rabbit in a pack of snarling dogs. We've flown free from their fangs, free of their traps, free as a bird. Their grip is broken; we're free as a bird in flight. God's strong name is our help, the same God who made heaven and earth. Psalm 124:6-8 (The Message) The enemy has no power over us. Everyone born of God overcomes the world because the One who is in us is greater than the one who is in the world. No weapon formed against us will succeed (Isaiah 54:17). Jesus set the captives free and if the Son sets you free, you are free indeed (John 8:36). Every yoke is broken. Live as free people and don't fall for the snares of the enemy. You, my brothers and sisters, are called to be free (Galatians 5:13)! Spread your wings and soar like an eagle toward your God-given destiny.

God Guards You

God guards you from every evil, he guards your very life. He guards you when you leave and when you return, he guards you now, he guards you always. Psalm 121:7-8 (The Message) Our heavenly Father keeps watch over your life. He is a 24-hour God. He doesn't sleep or slumber. Whether you are coming or going, God not only has your back, He has your front and sides covered too. He commands His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways (Psalm 91:11). Thank God for the special attention He gives to every detail of our lives.

Our Help

I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. Psalm 121:1-2 (NIV) Circumstances have you down? Look UP. Our help comes from the LORD, Creator of heaven and earth. He gave the sea its boundary so the waters would not overstep His command. He satisfies the hunger of the wild animals. God subdues nations and raises up one king over another. Surely, God can handle everything that concerns you.

Great Peace

Great peace have those who love Your law, And nothing causes them to stumble. Psalm 119:165 (NKJ) Those who love God's instructions have great peace. You will go out in joy and be led forth in perfect peace. Like a river, His abundant peace will flow over your mind and fill your heart. Let His principles be the guiding force in your life and nothing will cause you to stumble.

Source of Hope

You are my refuge and my shield; your word is my source of hope. LORD, sustain me as you promised, that I may live! Do not let my hope be crushed. Psalm 119:114, 116 (NLT) The LORD is our hiding place and our shield. Keep your hope in His Word and you will not be disappointed. Surely God is our help; the Lord is the one who sustains us (Psalm 54:4). Let us be like Abraham. Romans 4:20-21 says, he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. Believe with all your heart that God is willing and able to fulfill His promises in your life.

Sweeter than Honey

How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! I gain understanding from your precepts; therefore I hate every wrong path. Psalm 119:103-104 (NIV) How sweet are the words of the LORD! His words for us: beloved, friend, a chosen people, and a royal priesthood. He speaks of brand new compassions every morning, amazing grace, tender mercies, everlasting love, and eternal life. Get understanding from His Word. Blessed are those who gain understanding. Whoever has understanding keeps a straight course (Proverbs 15:21).

All for the Best

My troubles turned out all for the best— they forced me to learn from your textbook. Truth from your mouth means more to me than striking it rich in a gold mine. Psalm 119:71-72 (The Message) The Apostle James tells us to consider it pure joy when tests and challenges come at us from all sides. The testing of our faith produces patience. Let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing (James 1:2-4). The Apostle Peter says, "dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you," (1 Peter 4:12). The good news is that despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loves us. All things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). Amen.

Be Rejuvenated!

Remember what you said to me, your servant— I hang on to these words for dear life! These words hold me up in bad times; yes, your promises rejuvenate me. Psalm 119:49-50 (The Message) Hang onto God's words for dear life. They will give you hope in bad times and comfort you in all your troubles. His Word contains promises of joy, strength, healing, success, and eternal life. It speaks of a perfect love and peace of mind. Let the promises of God rejuvenate your soul!

Open My Eyes

Be good to your servant, that I may live and obey your word. Open my eyes to see the wonderful truths in your instructions. Psalm 119:17-18 (NLT) May the LORD open our eyes to see and understand wonderful truths in His Word. When we know the truth, the truth shall make us free (John 8:32). Instead of believing the lies of the enemy we are free to embrace the truth of God's Word. His Word says we are more than conquerors. It declares that we have overcome the evil one and the world. Psalm 103:3, 5 says the LORD forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases. He satisfies our desires with good things and renews our youth like the eagle’s. Open your eyes and see wonderful things in the Word of God!

Steady Steps

Oh, that my steps might be steady, keeping to the course you set; Then I'd never have any regrets in comparing my life with your counsel. I thank you for speaking straight from your heart; Psalm 119:5-7 (The Message) May our steps be continually and securely set upon the Rock, our firm foundation. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 3:11). He is a sure foundation and with Him, we shall not be moved. Standing on the Rock, we are high above our circumstances, not beneath them. When we stay on course with the LORD, we have no regrets. He will grant us success, a free, healthy and full life.

Stay on Course

You're blessed when you stay on course, walking steadily on the road revealed by God. You're blessed when you follow his directions, doing your best to find him. That's right—you don't go off on your own; you walk straight along the road he set. You, God, prescribed the right way to live; now you expect us to live it. Psalm 119:1-4 (The Message) Blessed and highly favored are we, when we stay on course with the LORD. Do not lean not on your own understanding. Don't try to figure out things on your own. Seek the wisdom of the LORD. He knows all. I pray God reveals the road He has for you in His perfect time.

Give Thanks!

You are my God, and I will praise you! You are my God, and I will exalt you! Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. Psalm 118:28-29 (NLT) Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good, all the time! Each and every day God faithfully pours His love and compassion upon us. What great love the Father lavishes on us, that we are called children of God! (1 John 3:1) Thank our heavenly Father for bringing us into His family and always taking care of us as His dearly beloved children.

This is the Day!

This is the day which the LORD has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24 (NAS) God woke you up this morning and gave you the strength to get out of bed. That gives you something to rejoice about. Be glad and rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! The joy of the LORD is your strength. Celebrate God all day, every day (Philippians 4:4, The Message). Amen.

Today, Tomorrow & Forever!

And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You. Psalm 9:10 (NKJ) The presence of the LORD is with us today, tomorrow and forever! God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you,” (Hebrews 13:5). No matter what you have gone through in the past and no matter what trials you face today, our God is with you. You are not abandoned or forgotten. Our heavenly Father is actively involved in your life, causing all things to work together for good. The Spirit of Almighty God lives in you and dwells around you in all His power and glory. You are never alone. Take comfort in the companionship of our heavenly Father.

Look in Triumph

The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? The LORD is with me; he is my helper. I look in triumph on my enemies. Psalm 118:6-7 (NIV) If the LORD is with you, who can stand against you? Our mighty God is the One who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies. Put no confidence in the flesh. For our struggle is against the rulers, the authorities, the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). With God we gain the victory, and He tramples down our enemies (Psalm 60:12). Amen!

His Unfailing Love

Praise the LORD, all you nations. Praise him, all you people of the earth. For he loves us with unfailing love; the LORD’s faithfulness endures forever. Praise the LORD! Psalm 117:1-2 (NLT) The earth is full of God's unfailing love. The LORD’s unfailing love surrounds those who trust in Him (Psalm 32:10). His everlasting love is our support and our comfort. Trust in His unfailing love, and rely on His faithfulness always. It endures the test of time. His unfailing love for you will not be shaken. How priceless is the unfailing love of God! Thank God for His great, unfailing love.

So Merciful!

How kind the LORD is! How good he is! So merciful, this God of ours! The LORD protects those of childlike faith; I was facing death, and he saved me. Psalm 116:5-6 (NLT) I love the LORD, for He heard my voice; He heard my cry for mercy (Psalm 116:1). In my time of great need, Almighty God reached down and helped me. God is so good, and so kind! He is full of mercy and grace. Call on Him as long as you have breath, because He listens! (Psalm 116:2)

Brought Near by His Blood

But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ. Ephesians 2:13 (NLT) Because Jesus Christ, shed His precious blood and gave His life for us, we have been brought near to God. Before He created the foundation of the world, God chose you. Our heavenly Father loves you and carries you close to His heart. He showers you with new compassions every morning. In His lovingkindness God shows us His amazing mercy and grace. He gives us abundant life, peace and joy. Thank you Abba Father!

Love God & Neighbor

‘And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:39-31 (NKJ) First Corinthians 13:13 says, of faith, hope, and love, that love is the greatest. Let us love God with all our minds, souls and bodies. May the longing of our hearts be for His Presence more than anything this world has to offer. Then, we are able to love our neighbors, those that live in our homes and everyone God brings our way in the course of a day. Love is patient. Love keeps no record of wrongs. And love never fails. Amen.

Blessed, Happy & Fortunate

Hallelujah! Blessed is the person who fears the LORD and is happy to obey his commands. His descendants will grow strong on the earth. The family of a decent person will be blessed. Wealth and riches will be in his home. His righteousness continues forever. Psalm 112:1-3 (GW) Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who fears (reveres and worships) the Lord, who delights greatly in His commandments (Psalm 112:1, Amp). Let us not only obey God's commands, let us do it with a good attitude, greatly delighting in obeying the LORD. The person who does this is blessed, happy and fortunate. This blessing flows onto their family members and the following generations. Talk about GOOD NEWS. Can it get any better? Worship the LORD, for He is good!

Foundation of True Wisdom

Fear of the LORD is the foundation of true wisdom. All who obey his commandments will grow in wisdom. Praise him forever! Psalm 111:10 (NLT) Let respect and honor for the LORD be the foundation on which we build our lives. As we follow God and walk in His ways, we grow wiser. There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the LORD (Proverbs 21:30).

His Great Love

For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth. Psalm 108:4-5 (NIV) And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge (Ephesians 3:17-19). Nothing can separate us from the great love of God that we have in Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.

Continually Seek Him

Give thanks to the LORD and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done. Sing to him; yes, sing his praises. Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds. Exult in his holy name; rejoice, you who worship the LORD. Search for the LORD and for his strength; continually seek him. Psalm 105:1-4 (NLT) God says, "When you come looking for me, you'll find me. "Yes, when you get serious about finding me and want it more than anything else, I'll make sure you won't be disappointed." (Jeremiah 29-13, The Message). Let us continually seek the LORD, His strength, His will and His way with all our hearts. Amen.

Great is our God!

Praise the LORD, my soul! O LORD my God, you are very great. You are clothed with splendor and majesty. You cover yourself with light as though it were a robe. You stretch out the heavens as though they were curtains. You lay the beams of your home in the water. You use the clouds for your chariot. You move on the wings of the wind. Psalm 104:1-3 (GW) Bless the LORD, O my soul! Let all that I am praise the LORD. Great is our God. He is clothed in glory, honor and majesty. Covered in a brilliant light, He is absolutely radiant. Every good gift and every perfect gift comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning (James 1:17). Many are His works. Give God all the praise and honor. Worship the LORD with all your heart.
