Don’t Stop

Image
That’s why we live with such good cheer. You won’t see us drooping our heads or dragging our feet! Cramped conditions here don’t get us down. They only remind us of the spacious living conditions ahead. It’s what we trust in but don’t yet see that keeps us going. Do you suppose a few ruts in the road or rocks in the path are going to stop us? — 2 Corinthians 5:6-8a (MSG) Don’t stop. Make a continually pursuit of God, His Kingdom, and the wonderful plans He has for you. Where you began will seem unimportant, because your future will be so successful. (Job 8:7 NCV) Don’t despise the day of small beginnings. The LORD is a turn around God. He will turn your mourning into dancing. Your beginning might have been bitter, but God will turn it to sweet. You’ve heard, of course, of Job’s staying power, and you know how God brought it all together for him at the end. That’s because God cares, cares right down to the last detail. (James 5:11) He will give you double for your trouble. Keep pr

Really Live!

Image
So here I am in the place of worship, eyes open, drinking in your strength and glory. In your generous love I am really living at last! My lips brim praises like fountains. I bless you every time I take a breath; My arms wave like banners of praise to you. — Psalm 63:2-4 (MSG) We really live when we live in a place of worship with Almighty God. When you thirst, dink in His strength and glory. Live a free and joyful life in the generous love He continually pours out on us. May every breath we take be filled with His praises, knowing that no matter what comes, we shall see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.

Be Happy & Blessed

Image
Where there is no vision [no revelation of God and His word], the people are unrestrained; But happy and blessed is he who keeps the law [of God]. — Proverbs 29:18 (AMP) Having a vision keeps us from looking back, and propels us forward, with purposeful intention. Following God’s Word keeps us on the right path, the path of life. The Message Bible says: If people can’t see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves; but when they attend to what he reveals, they are most blessed. (Proverbs 29:18) Let us pay attention to what God is doing and follow His guidance. When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild. But whoever obeys the law is joyful. — Proverbs 29:18 (NLT)

Be an Insider

Image
For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand outside. I would rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness. For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, how blessed is the man who trusts in You! — Psalm 84:10-12 (NASB) Don’t be an outsider. Come and dwell in the house of the LORD. What the world offers is shallow, temporary and it drains you of life. Our heavenly Father is the giver of every perfect gift. (James 1:17) He generously gives us grace and glory. He fills our hearts with His love and our lives with His goodness. The LORD is a sun (giver of light) and a shield (our protection). He gives us a more abundant life that will last forever. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name . — Psalm 100:4 (NASB)

Master of Breakthroughs

Image
So David came to Baal-perazim, and he defeated them there, and said, “The LORD has broken through my enemies before me, like a breakthrough of water.” So he named that place Baal-perazim (master of breakthroughs). — 2 Samuel 5:20 (AMP) Our Mighty God is the Master of Breakthroughs. He breaks through the darkness, with His marvelous light. He will break through our brokenness with His strength and power. He breaks through fear and timidity with faith and boldness. He shatters hatred, with His amazing love and grace. He breaks through bitterness, with sweet joy. He breaks through sickness and disease with His healing power. Where there is death and defeat, He gives us life and victory! Believe God and His Word and experience the bountiful life He has designed for you. When we try to confine Him in a little box, with our small expectations, He bursts through because He is a BIG God and nothing is too difficult for Him. Amen & Hallelujah!

How Great is our God!

Image
For the LORD is the great God, and the great King above all gods. — Psalm 95:3 (NKJV) Our God is El Elyon, the God Most High. Higher than anything that stands before you. God is El Roi, the God Who sees you. He is a compassionate God, rich in grace and mercy. He is the everlasting God. He will never abandon you. What amazing love He has lavished on us. He first loved us, before we even acknowledged Him. In Deuteronomy 7:21, the LORD tells His people not to be terrified of their enemies because the LORD our God, the great and awesome God, is among them. He is Immanuel, God with us. We have already overcome our enemy, because He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world. (1John 4:4) God is Adonai, our Great Lord. Let us adore Him. For the LORD is great and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods. — Psalm 96:4 (NKJV)

Plug into His Presence

Image
“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” — John 15:4-5 (NKJV) In the Amplified Bible Jesus says “… apart from Me [that is, cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing. ” (John 15:5) Our union with Him is vital. In order to live the abundant and fruitful life He intended for us, we have to abide in Him. Your cell phone or any electronic device is useless, unless it has been plugged into an electric source and charged. And a believer who is disconnected from their Source is unable to perform and function as we were created to. Let us stay connected to Jesus, the Source of our life. As we remain engaged with Him, we have everlasting peace that is not moved by earthly circumstances. When we are plugged into His Presence we experience fullness of joy,

Dwell in the Secret Place

Image
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. — Psalm 91:1 (NKJV) Stay in the shadow of El Shaddai, the all sufficient One. Make His Presence your sweet spot and your happy place. Psalm 63:7 says: “Because You have been my help, therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice.” God will save you from hidden traps and from deadly diseases. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you can hide. His truth will be your shield and protection. (Psalm 91:3-4 NCV) That's something to rejoice about! Be gracious to me, O God, be gracious and merciful to me, for my soul finds shelter and safety in You, and in the shadow of Your wings I will take refuge and be confidently secure until destruction passes by. — Psalm 57:1 (AMP)

Worthy is the Lamb!

Image
For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value. It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God. — 1 Peter 1:18-19 (NLT) “ Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! ” (John 1:19) He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5) He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so He opened not His mouth. (Isaiah 53:7) Jesus came that we may have life, and have it abundantly. He made it possible for us to live a free and full life. Worship the Lamb of God for He is worthy of all our praises! And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and al

Adore Him

Image
Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is yours, O LORD, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as the one who is over all things. — 1 Chronicles 29:11 (NLT) Let us adore (love and respect deeply) our God. He is the Most High God, above all. He is above your earthly circumstances. He is above all sickness and disease. He is above all fear and doubt. He is the One true God. He is Almighty God, nothing is too difficult for Him. Be a God-worshiper and proclaim His praises, at all times. Here’s the story I’ll tell my friends when they come to worship, and punctuate it with Hallelujahs: Shout Hallelujah, you God-worshipers; give glory, you sons of Jacob; adore him, you daughters of Israel. He has never let you down, never looked the other way when you were being kicked around. He has never wandered off to do his own thing; he has been right there, listening. — Psalm 22:22-24 (MSG)

Magnify the LORD

Image
But each day the LORD pours his unfailing love upon me, and through each night I sing his songs, praying to God who gives me life. — Psalm 42:8 (NLT) The LORD is our maker. He gives us the breath of life. In Him we live and move and have our being. (Acts 17:28) It is good to give thanks to the LORD, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; to declare Your lovingkindness in the morning, and Your faithfulness every night. (Psalm 92:1-2 NKJV) For You, LORD, have made me glad through Your work; I will triumph in the works of Your hands. O LORD, how great are Your works! Your thoughts are very deep. (Psalm 92:4-5 NKJV) Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together. (Psalm 34:3)

Just a Touch

Image
A woman was in the crowd who had been bleeding for twelve years, but no one was able to heal her. She came up behind Jesus and touched the edge of his coat, and instantly her bleeding stopped. — Luke 8:43-44 (NCV) This woman had a need and praise God, she knew enough to seek Jesus for the healing she desired. She was not content to be one in the crowd, just trying to see Jesus. As a result of her persistence and determination to fight through the crowd, she got close enough to Jesus to touch his garment. Because this woman believed that Jesus was the answer to her problem, she made a withdrawal of power from on high. And Jesus said, “ Someone did touch me, because I felt power go out from me .” (Luke 8:46) In Luke 8:48, Jesus said to her, “ Dear woman, you are made well because you believed. Go in peace .” May we, in faith and wisdom reach out and touch Jesus, our Lord and Savior, each and every day. Let us push through the things that crowd our day and have an intimate encounter

Boast in His Name

Image
Some nations boast of their chariots and horses, but we boast in the name of the LORD our God. Those nations will fall down and collapse, but we will rise up and stand firm. — Psalm 20:7-8 (NLT) In Genesis 4:26 (AMP), men began to call on the name of the Lord [in worship through prayer, praise, and thanksgiving]. Let us continually lift His name on high. From the rising of the sun to its setting the name of the LORD is to be praised. (Psalm 113:3 NASB) Before David conquered His enemy, he declared “I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts….” (1 Samuel 17:45 NASB) Our help is in the name of the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. (Psalm 124:8 NKJV) May we trust in the name of the LORD and rely upon our God. (Isaiah 50:10)  When we boast in His name, we will rise up and stand firm! The name of the LORD is a strong fortress; the godly run to him and are safe. — Proverbs 18:10 (NLT)

Don't Lose Heart

Image
So we’re not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. There’s far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can’t see now will last forever. — 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 (MSG) Do not lose heart and become discouraged. The difficult circumstances you are dealing with today are temporary, and they are producing for you a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! His unfolding grace is sufficient for you. He has provided everything you need to overcome today's challenges.

Dine with the King

Image
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.  — Revelation 3:20 (NKJV) First, we need to have our ears open to hear His voice. Then, we can respond by opening the door of our hearts. How? By opening our mouths and asking Jesus to come in. By having the attitude, that He is welcome to stay, and enter each room. Let His marvelous light flood the dark crevices of your heart. Once He comes in, then let us take the time to dine with Him. May we feast on His Presence. Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good. (Psalm 34:8a) He has a banquet already prepared for us. Instead of fear and anxiety, there is a platter of perfect peace. There are bowls of joy. In exchange for bitterness and unforgiveness, there is sweet compassion, and amazing grace. Instead of resentment, we have contentment in His Presence, as we dine with the King of kings.

Elevate Your Thoughts

Image
Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. — Colossians 3:2 (NKJV) Let us elevate our thoughts. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so God’s thoughts are higher than our thoughts. (Isaiah 55:9) So if you’re serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. Don’t shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ—that’s where the action is. See things from his perspective. (Colossians 3:2 MSG) Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart].  — Philippia

Take a Long Loving Look

Image
“Step out of the traffic! Take a long, loving look at me, your High God, above politics, above everything.” — Psalm 46:10 (MSG) Step away from the business of life, with its many distractions and take a long loving look at our mighty, awesome God. Adore Him. He is above politics, sports, and doctor reports. You don’t need a telescope, a microscope, or a horoscope to realize the fullness of Christ, and the emptiness of the universe without him. When you come to him, that fullness comes together for you, too. His power extends over everything. (Colossians 2:10 MSG)  Let us look only to Jesus, the Champion who initiates and perfects our faith (Hebrews 12:2) Look up to Him, from whom our help comes.

CHOSEN

Image
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; — 1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV) We are a chosen generation! God chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love. (Ephesians 1:4) We are chosen to show others the goodness of God, to tell about the wonderful works of our awesome God. We are chosen to be a holy people, God’s very own possession. We are chosen and called children of Almighty God, and co-heirs with Christ. In the past you had never received mercy, but now you have received God’s mercy. (1 Peter 2:10) We are chosen to receive God’s grace and mercy. Chosen to live in His marvelous light, and walk in His love. We are chosen with a purpose to execute His perfect will and plan on the earth. Let us be about our Father's business. Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD,

Be Filled with His Light

Image
The lives of good people are brightly lit streets; the lives of the wicked are dark alleys. — Proverbs 13:9 (MSG) Jesus says: “Come!” Those in dark alleys and on dead-end roads, come to Jesus, the light of the world. In John 18:12, Jesus said, “ I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life. ” He will show you the path of life. He came that you may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]. (John 10:10b AMP). As followers of Christ, we are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. (Matthew 5:14) May we let the light of His love and grace within us, shine brighter and brighter, and light up the darkness that is around us. The life of the godly is full of light and joy, but the light of the wicked will be snuffed out. — Proverbs 13:9 (NLT)

Be Spirit Led

Image
So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions. — Galatians 5:16-17 (NLT) The ways of this world and the feelings of our flesh go against God’s ways. The flesh is selfish and wants what it wants, when it wants it, but as children of God, we are not to live our lives in subjection to the world or our flesh. God’s ways are higher than our ways. Let us choose to be led by the Holy Spirit of God. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. (Romans 8:14 NLT) Going against the Spirit is like trying to walk against the wind. It's hard to go in the direction you want to go. When we walk in the direction of the wind, we find the

Let it Go Deep

Image
The seed that fell on rock is like those who hear God’s teaching and accept it gladly, but they don’t allow the teaching to go deep into their lives. They believe for a while, but when trouble comes, they give up. — Luke 8:13 (NCV) Let the Word go deep and permeate your heart, your mind and your life. Then you will not be inclined to give up. Don’t let the troubles and cares of this world choke the Word of life out of you. Instead, be like those who receive the Word on good ground. They hear God’s teaching with good, honest hearts and obey it and patiently produce good fruit. (Luke 8:15 NCV) You know we call those blessed [happy, spiritually prosperous, favored by God] who were steadfast and endured [difficult circumstances]. You have heard of the patient endurance of Job and you have seen the Lord’s outcome [how He richly blessed Job]. The Lord is full of compassion and is merciful. — James 5:11 (AMP)

Never be Shaken

Image
When the whirlwind passes by, the wicked is no more, but the righteous has an everlasting foundation. — Proverbs 10:25 (NKJV) Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. (1 Peter 4:12) The storms of life, come to us all. The Word says "when" the whirlwind passes, not "if". Not only is it going to come. It is also going to pass. The good news for Believers is that we have a strong, immovable foundation, to hold us steady when the winds of adversity blow. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have—Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 3:11 NLT) Therefore, this is what the Sovereign LORD says: “Look! I am placing a foundation stone in Jerusalem, a firm and tested stone. It is a precious cornerstone that is safe to build on. Whoever believes need never be shaken. — Isaiah 28:16 (NLT)

The Foundation of Wisdom

Image
Fear of the LORD is the foundation of wisdom. Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment. — Proverbs 9:10 (NLT) Wisdom will multiply your days and add years to your life. If you become wise, you will be the one to benefit. (Proverbs 9:11-12a NLT) Wisdom begins with a reverential fear and respect for the LORD. The foundation of wisdom is to honor the LORD by putting Him first in all that we do. So you should look for the LORD before it is too late; you should call to him while he is near.  (Isaiah 55:6 NCV) Let the wicked abandon their way of life and the evil their way of thinking. Let them come back to God, who is merciful, come back to our God, who is lavish with forgiveness. (Isaiah 55:7 MSG) “This is God’s Message, the God who made earth, made it livable and lasting, known everywhere as God: ‘Call to me and I will answer you. I’ll tell you marvelous and wondrous things that you could never figure out on your own.’ — Jeremiah 33:3 (MSG)

Listen for His Voice

Image
…and after the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice . — 1 Kings 19:12 (NKJV) When your world has been shaken, or there is nothing left but rubble and ashes, listen carefully for the still small voice of the LORD. Close your ear to the constant chatter of this world and tune in to the voice of Almighty God. When the doctor gives that bad report, open your ear to hear the healing Word of the LORD. The voice of the LORD is powerful; The voice of the LORD is full of majesty. (Psalm 29:4 NKJV) The LORD spoke and created the heavens and the earth. Jesus spoke and the dead were raised to life. (Luke 7:14-15, John 11:42-44) Instead of exposing yourself to the noise of the negative nightly news, tune into the Presence of the LORD and listen for what He is saying. I listen carefully to what God the LORD is saying, for he speaks peace to his faithful people. But let them not return to their foolish ways. — Psalm 85:8 (NLT)

Run to the Source

Image
The Lord God is my strength [my source of courage, my invincible army]; He has made my feet [steady and sure] like hinds’ feet and makes me walk [forward with spiritual confidence] on my high places [of challenge and responsibility]. — Habakkuk 3:19 (AMP) God, our Creator, is the source of all that we need. He is the God who makes a way for us. Psalm 78:38 (AMP) says, He is the source of compassion and lovingkindness. God is the source of hope (Romans 15:13 NLT) The Holy One is the source of wisdom (Proverbs 30:3 AMP) The LORD is the source of all my righteousness and strength (Isaiah 45:24 NLT) And Jesus, the Messiah is the Source of eternal salvation. (Acts 6:7 AMP) O come, let us worship and bow down, Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker [in reverent praise and prayer]. (Psalm 95:6 AMP) “ A man can receive nothing [he can claim nothing at all] unless it has been granted to him from heaven [for there is no other source than the sovereign will of God]. ” ( John 3:27 AMP )

Guard Your Heart

Image
Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. — Proverbs 4:23 (NLT) Keep watch over the door of your heart and do not let anything in that is not of God. Let us hide the Word of God in our hearts, that we may not sin against Him. (Psalm 119:11). When His Word fills our heart we will love the Lord our God with all our heart, all our soul, and all our mind. And we will love our neighbors as we love ourselves. (Matthew 22:37-39) When His Word fills our heart, grace and mercy will flow out of it. We will walk in humility and be kind to one another. As we open our heart to God, His love and compassion will fill it and that is what will come out of it, as we deal with the issues of life. When we allow God to sit on the throne of our heart, He directs our steps, and shows us the path of life. Keep vigilant watch over your heart. Everything is a matter of the heart.

Live in the Light

Image
In the past you were full of darkness, but now you are full of light in the Lord. So live like children who belong to the light. Light brings every kind of goodness, right living, and truth. — Ephesians 5:8-9 (NCV) With the Lord’s authority I say this: Live no longer as the Gentiles do, for they are hopelessly confused. (Ephesians 4:17 NLT) Let us live as children of light. Do not be bitter or angry or mad. Never shout angrily or say things to hurt others. Never do anything evil. Be kind and loving to each other, and forgive each other just as God forgave you in Christ. (Ephesians 4:31-32 NCV) In Luke 6:35-36 (NCV), Jesus said: “ But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without hoping to get anything back. Then you will have a great reward, and you will be children of the Most High God, because he is kind even to people who are ungrateful and full of sin. Show mercy, just as your Father shows mercy. ” As we live our lives in the light and love of Jesus, we will dr

Abundant Joy & Peace

Image
I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. — Romans 15:13 (NLT) “ Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in abundance. ” (Isaiah 55:2 NKJV) Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! (Psalm 34:8) Seek the LORD while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. (Isaiah 55:6) The Lord always keeps his promises; he is gracious in all he does (Psalm 145:13b NLT). He satisfies the desire of every living thing. (Psalm 145:16 NKJV) May you go out with everlasting joy and be led forth with perfect peace, as you trust in our great and mighty God.

Seek His Will

Image
Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. — Proverbs 3:6 (NLT) Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track. Don’t assume that you know it all. Run to God! Run from evil! Your body will glow with health, your very bones will vibrate with life! (Proverbs 3:5-8 MSG) Listen for God's voice and trust Him to successfully navigate you through the challenges and mountains that stand before you.

Every Day Planned

Image
You made my whole being; you formed me in my mother’s body. I praise you because you made me in an amazing and wonderful way. What you have done is wonderful. I know this very well. You saw my bones being formed as I took shape in my mother’s body. When I was put together there, you saw my body as it was formed. All the days planned for me were written in your book before I was one day old. — Psalm 139:13-16 (NCV) You are an amazing, unique creation of our Heavenly Father. When He wrote all of our days in His book, I don’t think He left any blank pages. He has a plan and purpose for every day of your life. God created us to worship Him, and love Him with all our heart, mind and soul. Let us walk in the wisdom of His Word and be winners in life. God has given us everything pertaining to life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3), so we can overcome being victims, and walk in victory. We are more than conquerors! The enemy wants us to be poor and pitiful. But with God we are strong and m

God is Good!

Image
O taste and see that the LORD [our God] is good; How blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who takes refuge in Him. — Psalm 34:8 (AMP) The LORD is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works. (Psalm 145:9 NKJV) For the LORD is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation. (Psalm 100:5 NLT) The LORD is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in him. (Nahum 1:7 NLT) And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28 NKJV) God is good. And it is good for us to draw near to Him. For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. — Psalm 84:11 (NKJV)
