Trust in the Name

Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed; he answers him from his holy heaven  with the saving power of his right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. Psalm 20:6-7 (NIV) Let us not put our confidence in what we can do.  Do not rely merely on human strength. Don't let your financial resources be the foundation of your hope. Trust in the name of the LORD our God. Call on Him. He is the answer to every need. The LORD takes care of those who belong to Him. All power and might are in His hand. He saves, He provides, He protects. Amen. Love, Jackie

Life to the World

Jesus said to them, "... it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world." John 6:32-33 (NIV) Jesus declared that He was the bread of life. Those who come to Him will never go hungry. Everyone who believes in Him shall have eternal life in heaven. However, Jesus also gives us a more abundant life on this earth. Partake of the bread of life and be filled with His overflowing peace, joy and love. Savor His grace and mercy. Praise the Lord for He gives life to the world. Love, Jackie

I Will Not Be Shaken

I will bless the LORD who has counseled me; Indeed, my mind instructs me in the night. I have set the LORD continually before me; Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Psalm 16:7-8 (NAS) As we keep our eyes on the LORD, we receive His wise counsel. He reveals truth to us. As we stick with the LORD He strengthens us and we do not allow our circumstance to sway us back and forth. Instead we anchor our soul in the LORD and His mighty hand keeps us stable and secure. Amen. Love, Jackie

With All Your Heart

For the sake of his great name the LORD will not reject his people,  because the LORD was pleased to make you his own.  But be sure to fear the LORD and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you. 1 Samuel 12: 22, 24 (NIV) May we serve the LORD faithfully, with all our hearts. Let us hold no one or nothing more dear in our affections than "Abba Father." It pleased Him, to bring us into His family that we might be called children of God and He does not reject His people. Therefore, be completely devoted to the LORD at all times, because He first loved us and sent His only Son to save us. Wow! What great things He has done for us. From My Heart, Love, Jackie

Find Rest

Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light." Matthew 11:28-30 (NLT) Are you carrying a heavy burden? Come to Jesus and lay it before Him. He gives you rest. He leads you beside quiet waters and restores your soul. Find rest in the presence of the LORD for He has been good to you (Psalm 116:7). Be still and know that the LORD, in His infinite wisdom, will work out everything that concerns you. Praise the LORD. Love, Jackie

The Living Water

Jesus answered her, "If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water." John 4:10 (NIV) Are you thirsty? In John 7:37, Jesus said, "If anyone is thirsty let him come to Me and drink. Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him." He satisfies the thirsty. We know how refreshing a glass of water is when we are physically thirsty. When we are spiritually thirsty nothing fulfills like the living water of Jesus. He will refresh your spirit and soul. Come to Him and drink. Drink in His goodness. Drink in His mercy and His grace. Love, Jackie

He Hears

The LORD is King for ever and ever; the nations will perish from his land. You hear, O LORD, the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry, Psalm 10:16-17 (NIV) The Lord hears the desire of those who are distressed and He encourages them. Jesus Christ is King of Kings and Lord of lords and He reigns for ever and ever. In Him, we have victory over our enemies and over every weapon that comes against us.  Put your confidence in Him and give Him all the praise.  Love, Jackie

Joy is Your Strength

"This is a sacred day before our Lord. Don't be dejected and sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength!" Nehemiah 8:10 (NLT) This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy (Psalm 126:5). Be joyful in hope (Romans 12:12). Believers are instructed throughout God's Word to be joyful. When our joy is not based on temporary, outer circumstances, but on the eternal hope we have in Jesus we can hold onto our joy and find strength in all situations. Love, Jackie

Pour Out Your Heart

"I am very discouraged, and I was pouring out my heart to the LORD. Don't think I am a wicked woman! For I have been praying out of great anguish and sorrow." "In that case," Eli said, "go in peace! May the God of Israel grant the request you have asked of him." "Oh thank you, sir!" she exclaimed. Then she went back and began to eat again, and she was no longer sad. 1 Samuel 1:15-18 (NLT) In the Scripture above, Hannah is distressed because she was barren. However, the LORD heard the cry of her heart and gave her a son. If you are discouraged, pour your heart out to the LORD. Once Eli the priest, spoke a word of hope to Hannah, she was no longer sad. Today, we can put our hope and faith in the words of Jesus. In Mark 11:24, Jesus says, "whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." Amen. Love, Jackie

Lifter of Your Head

But you are a shield around me, O LORD; you bestow glory on me and lift up my head. To the LORD I cry aloud, and he answers me from his holy hill.   Selah Psalm 3:3-4 (NIV) When you are downcast, the LORD is the lifter of your head. Take your eyes off of your circumstances and look to His holy hill, where your help comes from. Your cries fall on His ears and He answers. Praise the LORD, for He takes care of you. In His Care Love, Jackie

Take Refuge

"May the LORD repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the LORD, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge." Ruth 2:12 (NIV) In the above Scripture, Boaz is talking to Ruth, who left her homeland and her people to follow her mother-in-law, Naomi and the God of Israel. After the death of Naomi's two sons, one daughter-in-law returned to her people, but Ruth clung to Naomi and declared Naomi's God would be her God. May we leave all behind us to take refuge under the wings of Almighty God. In Philippians 3:8, the Apostle Paul says he counts everything as rubbish when compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus. Let us take refuge under the wings of the LORD, where He cares for us and keeps us safe. Let nothing keep you from dwelling under His mighty wings. In His Mighty Care Love, Jackie

Christ Accepts You

Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. Romans 15:7 (NIV) To all who received Jesus, to those who believed in his name, He gave the right to become children of God (John 1:12). Jesus accepts all who call on His name. While those in the world may reject you, Jesus stands like the father of the prodigal son, with His arms always open to receive you unto Himself. Likewise, as followers of Christ we are to accept each other regardless of our differences, so we can glorify God with one heart and mouth (Romans 15:5-6). Love, Jackie

Sing for Joy

It is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name, O Most High, to proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night, For you make me glad by your deeds, O LORD; I sing for joy at the works of your hands. Psalm 92:1-2, 4 (NIV) Sing for joy as you proclaim God's love. His love watched over you as you slept last night and woke you up this morning. In His loving care He provides all that you need. Sing for joy as you declare the LORD's faithfulness at night. In faithfulness, He successfully guided you through another day. Sing for joy. It is good to praise the LORD. Love, Jackie

Remember All His Benefits

Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits -  who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,  who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, Psalm 103:2-4 (NIV) Let us remember all the wonderful benefits we have in the LORD. He forgives all our sins and remembers them no more. He heals all our diseases. That's grace and favor! He redeems our lives from the pit of Hell and places us in the heavenly realms in Christ (Ephesians 1:3).  His love and compassion sit upon you, like a royal crown. Praise the LORD, now and forevermore. Love, Jackie

Adversity Leads to Advancement

Now I want you to know brothers, that what has happened to me has really served to advance the gospel. Philippians 1:12 (NIV) The Apostle Paul rejoiced as he sat in prison in chains. He realized the hardship he suffered encouraged other believers to speak the word of God more courageously (Philippians 1:14). Paul rejoiced because he did not focus on his temporary circumstances and difficulties, but on the eternal impact of spreading the Good News. May God help us to keep our eyes on Him and His kingdom in all of life's challenges. Amen. Love, Jackie

Wonderful Counselor

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 (NIV) Do you need guidance and direction? Need some help with a problem? Seek the wise counsel of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is our Wonderful Counselor. He is always there when we need him, 24- hour access. He will never lead you astray. Praise the Lord. Love, Jackie

Perfect and Complete

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. James 1:2-4 (NKJ) We can keep a joyful attitude in the midst of trials because we know the Lord has given us the victory. As we patiently endure, holding onto our faith, we are being perfected and made complete. Amen. Love, Jackie

Why Worry?

Worry weighs us down; a cheerful word picks us up. Proverbs 12:25 (The Message) Worry is a heavy burden that weighs us down and gets us no where. It only leads t0 frustration and exhaustion. Instead of worrying, delve into the good news of God's Word. It will pick you up. A cheerful word from Psalm 68:19 (NIV) says God daily bears our burdens. If He is going to carry our burdens, why not let them go? Cast all your cares on the Lord and embrace the perfect peace of God. Love, Jackie

Completely Humble

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient bearing with one another in love. Ephesians 4:2 (NIV) We are to clothe ourselves with humility toward one another and put the needs of others before our own. As we do this, we will fulfill the second greatest commandment to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. Love, Jackie

Be At Rest

Be at rest once more, O my soul, for the LORD has been good to you. For you, O LORD, have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from  tears, my feet from stumbling, Psalm 116:7-8 (NIV) Our God is full of compassion and grace. Let your soul rest in Him. He will deliver you from all your troubles. He dries your tears and catches you when you fall. Praise the LORD. Love, Jackie

Give Thanks

Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NIV) Our hearts are to overflow with thankfulness to God at all times. Even in difficult times we can thank God for giving us the strength and direction to get through the trial. Don't wait until you see circumstances change, thank in Him in advance because we know He has already given us the victory. I thank God for you. Love, Jackie

Hope-Filled Prisoners

"And you, because of my blood covenant with you, I'll release your prisoners, from their hopeless cells. Come home, you hope-filled prisoners! This very day I'm declaring a double bonus  — everything you lost returned twice over!" Zechariah 9:11-12 (The Message) Our Lord Jesus Christ releases prisoners from hopelessness. If you are held captive by discouragement or doubt, return to the place of safety, under the wing of the heavenly father. The Lord will fill you with hope as you believe and trust in Him. He will repay each one of your troubles with blessings. Praise His Holy Name. Love, Jackie

His Great Love

I call on you, O God, for you will answer me; give ear to me and hear my prayer. Show the wonder of your great love, you who save by your hand those who take  refuge in you from their foes. Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings... Psalm 17:7-9 (NIV) I am so enthralled with the love of God. It is such a beautiful thing. His love for us is so great, the Apostle Paul declares that nothing is able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:39). You are the apple of His eye and His ear is open to your cry. No matter what you encounter in life, know that God's love for you is great. Praise the LORD. Much Love, Jackie

Know and Rely on God's Love

If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. 1 John 4:15-16 (NIV) If we are ignorant of everything else, we need to know that God loves us. He chose you before the creation of the world to be in Him (Ephesians 1:4). His desire is for us to be with Him, close to Him. In compassion, He adopted us into His family to be His sons and daughters. That is an intimate relationship. We can always rely on God's love because it is unfailing and everlasting. His love will see you through every challenge. It was God's love that sent Jesus to the cross, so we could have our sins forgiven and fellowship in the holy presence of our heavenly Father. Know and rely on God's perfect love. Love, Jackie

He is with You

No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. Joshua 1:5 (NIV) As the LORD was with Moses and Joshua, so He is with you. He never leaves your side. He is there to protect, comfort, guide and at times carry. The LORD is always with you and He provides exactly what you need, when you need it because He is faithful and He loves you. Be strong and very courageous for the LORD is on your side. Love, Jackie

The God of All Comfort

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (NIV) No matter what troubles are upon you today, God will comfort you while you are in the midst of them. You don't have to wait until your difficulties are over, look to God while you are still trying to deal with them. He will soothe your soul and refresh your spirit. Amen. Love, Jackie

Calmed Down & Cheered Up

The minute I said, "I'm slipping, I'm falling," your love, God, took hold and held me fast. When I was upset and beside myself, you calmed me down and cheered me up. Psalm 94:18-19 (The Message) When anxious thoughts fill your mind and doubt clouds your vision, reach out for our heavenly Father. His unfailing love will support you. Abba Father will calm you down and cheer you up. Praise the LORD! Love, Jackie

Work in Progress

The LORD will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever; do not forsake the work of your hands. Psalm 138:8 (NKJV) We are a work in progress, but God is faithful. He does not abandon the works of His hand. The Apostle Paul said you can be confident that, "He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus" (Philippians 1:6). May we stay submitted to the work of perfection God is doing in our hearts, our minds and in our lives.   Love, Jackie

The LORD, Our Guide

The LORD will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. Isaiah 58:11 (NKJV) The LORD continually guides us, all we have to do is follow. When our souls are dry and weary the LORD will satisfy our thirst and give us strength. We will flourish in the garden of God and bear much fruit for His kingdom. Follow our Guide who has all wisdom and knowledge.    Love, Jackie

Press On

Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Philippians 3:12 (NIV) Press on. Keep moving forward, toward the goal God has placed in your heart. Do not get distracted and let other things pull you off course. Keep doing what you need to do and you will complete your mission. Fight the good fight and keep the faith. Amen. Love, Jackie

Live as Wise

Be very careful, then, how you live - not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:15-16 (NIV) May we make the most of every opportunity God gives us. Let us always strive to touch the lives of others with the love of God. Bear the fruit of joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control and your light will shine brightly in this dark world. Love, Jackie
