Submit & Resist

Image
Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. — James 4:7-8 (NASB1995) May we live submitted to the authority of Yahweh and His Word. Instead of entertaining the temptation and lies of the enemy and this world, resist them. Our loyalty cannot be divided between God and the world. You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. (James 4:4) As we wholeheartedly come close to God, He will draw near to us.

The King of Glory

Image
Lift up your heads, O gates, and be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in! Who is the King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. — Psalm 24:7-8 (NASB1995) Open up the door of your heart today, to the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Let His words saturate your mind, dominate your thoughts and be the determining factor for all your actions.  What an honor and a privilege that the Alpha and Omega, wants to fellowship with each one of us. Worship the Lord in the beauty and majesty of His holiness. He is the first and the last, the beginning and the end. (See Revelation 22:13) And He is continually knocking, on the door of your heart. When you have ears to hear His voice, and open the door, He will come in and dine with you. (See Revelation 3:20) May the Savior of the world, be lifted up in our hearts and lives.

The Turn Around

Image
For they had not provided the Israelites with food and water in the wilderness. Instead, they hired Balaam to curse them, though our God turned the curse into a blessing. — Nehemiah 13:2 (NLT) Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. (1 Peter 4:12 NLT) With our great and mighty God, what our enemy plans for evil against us, can be turned around for good. Just as Joseph told his brothers in Genesis 50:20 (NLT): “You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.” The difficulties, troubles and trials we go through could result in the salvation of others. We may sow some tears, but do not grow weary or become discouraged. There will come a time of joyful shouting. (See Psalm 126:5) Amen. “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” — Jere

Your Strength

Image
And Nehemiah continued, “Go and celebrate with a feast of rich foods and sweet drinks, and share gifts of food with people who have nothing prepared. This is a sacred day before our Lord. Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the LORD is your strength!” — Nehemiah 8:10 (NLT) Each and every day we have the breath of life in us is a sacred day before Yahweh. And in His Presence is fullness of joy. (See Psalm 16:11) Don’t let the enemy steal your joy. The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. But Jesus said His purpose is to give us a rich and satisfying life. (See John 10:10 NLT) This is the day which the LORD has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24 NASB1995) The LORD is our strength. (See Psalm 28:8 NKJV) Draw near to Him .

Our Calling

Image
God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. — 1 Corinthians 1:9 (NASB1995) We are called to live a close and intimate relationship with the King of kings and the Lord of lords, to abide in Him, at all times. We are called to follow Him, wherever He leads us. We are called into the comfort of His love and His perfect peace. Let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. (See Colossians 3:15 NLT) ...you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love. (Galatians 5:13 NLT) We are called to conform into His image. For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And having chosen them, he called them to come to him… (

He Saves

Image
Now I know that the LORD saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand. Some boast in chariots and some in horses, but we will boast in the name of the LORD, our God. — Psalm 20:6-7 (NASB1995) Call upon the name of the LORD. And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.’ (Acts 2:21 NKJV) Oh, give thanks to the LORD! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples! Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; Talk of all His wondrous works! Glory in His holy name; Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the LORD! (Psalm 105:1-3 NKJV)

Do You Love God?

Image
And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. — Romans 8:28 (NASB1995) We know Yahweh is able to make all things work together for good in our lives. The question is, do we love God? For the [true] love of God is this: that we habitually keep His commandments and remain focused on His precepts. And His commandments and His precepts are not difficult [to obey]. (1 John 5:3 NASB1995 AMP) And what is the great and foremost commandment? It says: “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.” The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ (See Matthew 22:37-39 NASB1995) No matter what difficulties come into our lives, may we love God, love our neighbor as ourself [that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for others] (See Matthew 2239 AMP), and be guided continually by His precepts and purpose. Then we can be certai

He is Mindful of Us

Image
Let all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; Let those who love Your salvation say continually, “The LORD be magnified!” Since I am afflicted and needy, let the Lord be mindful of me. You are my help and my deliverer; Do not delay, O my God. — Psalm 40:16-17 (NASB1995) When we are in the midst of troubles and trials, the enemy would like us to believe that our heavenly Father has forgotten about us. Don’t believe his lie. In Psalm 144:3, David asked: “Lord, what is man, that You take knowledge of him? Or the son of man, that You are mindful of him?” Have no doubt, Yahweh is with you. He watches over His people now and forevermore. The LORD has been mindful of us; He will bless us; He will bless the house of Israel; He will bless the house of Aaron. (Psalm 115:12) He is our help and our deliverer. Amen.

Cling to Your Faith

Image
Cling to your faith in Christ, and keep your conscience clear. For some people have deliberately violated their consciences; as a result, their faith has been shipwrecked. — 1 Timothy 1:19 (NLT) Make sure your faith is in Christ, the chief cornerstone. Always strive to have a clear conscience before God and before men, that you may avoid having your faith shipwrecked. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance and gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you made the good confession... (See 1 Timothy 6:11-12 NASB1995)  I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; — 2 Timothy 4:7 (NASB1995)

Our Place of Safety

Image
“Because of the covenant I made with you, sealed with blood, I will free your prisoners from death in a waterless dungeon. Come back to the place of safety, all you prisoners who still have hope! I promise this very day that I will repay two blessings for each of your troubles.” — Zechariah‬ ‭9‬:‭11‬-‭12‬ ‭(NLT‬‬) Come to Yahweh. He is our place of safety. He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand]. (Psalms‬ ‭91‬:‭1‬ ‭AMP‬‬)  In the midst of hardships and difficulties, still have hope. He is the God Who will give you double for your trouble. The LORD gives freedom to the prisoners. The LORD opens the eyes of the blind; The LORD raises those who are bowed down; The LORD loves the righteous. (See Psalm 146:7-8 NKJV) Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God. (See Psalm 146:5 NKJV)

By His Spirit

Image
Then he said to me, “This is what the LORD says to Zerubbabel: It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies.” — Zechariah 4:6 (NLT) May we surrender our own will, wants and desires and submit to the work of the Holy Spirit within us. For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. (Romans 8:13-14 NKJV) …if this plan or action is of men [merely human in origin], it will fail and be destroyed; but if it is of God [and it appears that it is], you will not be able to stop them; or else you may even be found fighting against God!” (See Acts 5:38-39 AMP) Our victory against the enemy is in Christ. With God all things are possible. (See Matthew 19:26) Amen.

He Will Come Back Again

Image
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the believers who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever. So encourage each other with these words.   — 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 (NLT) I encourage you with these words. No matter what you go through today, remember our future is very bright and will last for all eternity. For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. (Romans 8:18 NKJV) Our Savior said to His disciples: “Do not let your heart be troubled (afraid, cowardly). Believe [confidently] in God and trust in Him, [have faith, hold on to it, rely on it, keep going and] believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many dwelling places

The Word Works

Image
Therefore, we never stop thanking God that when you received his message from us, you didn’t think of our words as mere human ideas. You accepted what we said as the very word of God—which, of course, it is. And this word continues to work in you who believe. — 1 Thessalonians 2:13 (NLT) Let us be like the believers in Thessalonica, and accept the message about Jesus, that is contained in the Holy Scriptures, as the very Word of God. In 1 Thessalonians 1:3, the Apostle Paul mentions their work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. As we treasure and store His Word in our hearts, that we may not sin against Him. (See Psalm 119:11 AMP), let it also energize us onto faithful work and loving deeds. And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.(Philippians 1:6 NLT) May the God of peace equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produ

He Hears

Image
Then he said, “Don’t be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you began to pray for understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your request has been heard in heaven. I have come in answer to your prayer. — Daniel 10:12 (NLT) May we humble ourselves before Yahweh in prayer, and know that His ears are open to the cry of His people. In Matthew 26:41 (AMP), Jesus instructed His disciples: “Keep actively watching and praying that you may not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the body is weak.” James 5:16 (AMP) says: confess your sins to one another [your false steps, your offenses], and pray for one another, that you may be healed and restored. The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) can accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power]. Always pray and do not lose heart. (See Luke 18:1) Before calling on God in prayer, we first need to humble ourselves, as 2 Chronicles 7:14 points

His Purpose Prevails

Image
We humans keep brainstorming options and plans, but God’s purpose prevails. — Proverbs 19:21 (MSG) We can make our plans, but don’t be disappointed when things seem to go awry. For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11 NLT) And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. (Romans 8:28 AMP) There is a season (a time appointed) for everything and a time for every delight and event or purpose under heaven— (Ecclesiastes 3:1 AMP) Trust Yahweh and His timing.

Kept in Perfect Peace

Image
You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. — Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV) If you are having anxious thoughts, stop letting your mind wander through a series of “ What if …” scenarios. If we keep our mind stayed on Yahweh, He will keep us in perfect peace. That is a peace that is not moved by external circumstances. It's a peace that is not moved by an unfavorable doctor’s report, or by calamities of any nature. El Elyon, the Most High God, has made a way for you. He knows the plans He has for you. May we focus on WHO , not how. Let us set our mind on WHO , not when. Our gracious Heavenly Father has given us perfect peace. Don’t let the enemy steal it away from you.

He Delivers & Rescues

Image
Then Daniel spoke to the king, “O king, live forever! My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths and they have not harmed me, inasmuch as I was found innocent before Him; and also toward you, O king, I have committed no crime.” ...So Daniel was taken up out of the den and no injury whatever was found on him, because he had trusted in his God. — Daniel 6:21-23 (NASB1995) In Daniel 6:16, the king stated that Daniel served his God so faithfully. Even in the face of imminent danger, Daniel continued to trust Almighty God. And the Most High God showed Himself faithful to Daniel. He kept Daniel safe when he was cast into the lions' den. No matter what difficult situation you face, continue to believe in, rely on and trust in our mighty God. Just as Darius the king wrote to all the peoples, nations and men of every language who were living in the land at that time, may the people living all over the world today, reverently fear and tremble before the God of Daniel. For He is the liv

Return to the LORD

Image
“Even now,” says the LORD, “Turn and come to Me with all your heart [in genuine repentance], with fasting and weeping and mourning [until every barrier is removed and the broken fellowship is restored];” — Joel 2:12 (AMP) “…rend your heart and not your garments.” Now return to the LORD your God, for He is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, abounding in lovingkindness and relenting of evil.” (Joel 2:13 NASB1995) Don’t get caught up in just going through the motions. Make sure He has your whole heart. He will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the creeping locust, the stripping locust and the gnawing locust. (See Joel 2:25) Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision. (Joel 3:14 NASB1995) NOW (says the LORD). There is a sense of urgency in His Words. Make a decision today to return to Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13) Amen.

Look to the LORD

Image
I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber. — Psalm 121:1-3 (NKJV) Look to the LORD. Our help comes from Yahweh, and He is with us each moment of the day. He does not sleep, nor take vacations. When you call upon Him, He will answer. I waited patiently for the LORD; and He inclined to me, and heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth— Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, and will trust in the LORD. (Psalm 40:1-3 NKJV)  Since I am afflicted and needy, let the Lord be mindful of me. You are my help and my deliverer; Do not delay, O my God. — Psalm 40:17 (NASB1995)

Trust in God

Image
Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. — 1 Timothy 6:17 (NLT) Do not be like those in the church of Laodiciea (the lukewarm church). Because they say, “I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing,” In Revelation 3:17 (NASB1995), He says to them: you do not know that you are wretched and miserable, poor, blind and naked. So don’t fix your hope on the uncertainty of worldly riches. Instead, set your hope on the living God, our true Source. Trust in the One Who richly and ceaselessly supplies us with all we need for our enjoyment. Do good, be rich in good works, be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for yourself as a good foundation for the future, so that you may take hold of that which is truly life. (See 1 Timothy 6:18-19 ESV)

Light in the Darkness

Image
Even when I walk through the darkest valley I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. — Psalm 23:4 (NLT) When life’s journey brings us to the darkest of valleys, we can keep on walking, taking each step in faith. The Scripture says: “…I walk through”... Don’t stop! Keep stepping and eventually, you will come out on the other side. The Scripture also says, that He is close beside you. God is with you, as a constant Companion and an all-knowing Guide. He is not a far away God. In those dark moments, we never walk alone. And the closer we come to the LORD, the brighter and more visible His light becomes. Light arises in the darkness for the upright... (See Psalm 112:4 NASB1995) The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it. — John 1:5 (NLT) Amen!

It Is Good

Image
But as for me, it is good to be near God. I have made the Sovereign LORD my refuge; I will tell of all your deeds. — Psalm 73:28 (NIV) It is good to draw near to God. Put your trust in the Lord GOD, and tell everyone about the wonderful things He has done. He has clothed us with garments of salvation and covered us with a robe of righteousness. May we rejoice greatly in the LORD. (See Isaiah 61:10) He will keep us in perfect peace, as we trust in Him. In His Presence is fullness of joy. In His right hand there are pleasures forevermore. (See Psalm 16:11) Adonai gives strength to the weary, and to him who lacks might He increases power. (See Isaiah 40:29) He leads and guides us through each day, and will make known to us the path of life. …repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord; (Acts 3:29 NASB1995) Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the LORD, O my sou

A Very Present Help

Image
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. — Psalm 46:1 (NASB1995) In our lifetime, someone is bound to abandon us, in our time of need, but we can be confident that Yahweh is with us always and forever, through thick and thin and everything in between. He is a faithful Father, Who always takes care of His children. Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! (See 1 John 3:1) The LORD is also our Shepherd [to feed, to guide and to shield us], we shall not want. (See Psalm 23:1 AMP) He keeps watch over us constantly and provides all of our needs. Amen.

Keep Running

Image
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. — Hebrews 12:1 (NLT) God wrote all our days down in His book before we drew our first breath. He has set before each person a race. Let us submit to His will and His ways. When we follow Him, we have perfect peace and we can be confident that He will take care of everything that concerns us. Don’t be like Jonah. After God told Him to go to Nineveh, He went in the opposite direction to get away from the LORD. (See Jonah 1:1-3) Don't attempt to create your own course. Proverbs 19:21 (NLT) says: You can make many plans, but the LORD’s purpose will prevail. God has gone before you and made a way. Seek Him and His will for your day. For He knows the plans He has for you. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and

Understand

Image
And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. — Ephesians 3:18 (NLT) May we understand that the love of Yahweh is wider than any chasm that would try to separate us from Him. His love is so long, it endures throughout all generations. It is higher than any mountain that stands before us, and it’s deeper than any pit we may have fallen into. His love has no boundaries or limitations. God’s love is greater and stronger than any barriers trying to confine you. Wherever we are, His love can reach us and draw us closer to Him. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. (Romans 8:38 NLT) Hallelujah! May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with a

Brought Near

Image
In those days you were living apart from Christ. You were excluded from citizenship among the people of Israel, and you did not know the covenant promises God had made to them. You lived in this world without God and without hope. But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ. — Ephesians 2:12-13 (NLT) You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. (Ephesians 2:2 NLT) But God, being [so very] rich in mercy, because of His great and wonderful love with which He loved us, even when we were [spiritually] dead and separated from Him because of our sins, He made us [spiritually] alive together with Christ (for by His grace—His undeserved favor and mercy—you have been saved from God’s judgment). (Ephesians 2:4-5 AMP) So now you Gentiles are

Be Fruitful

Image
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. — Galatians 5:22-23 (NASB1995) As disciples of Christ, we have been chosen and appointed to go and bear fruit, lasting fruit. (See John:15:16) The Amplified Bible points out that bearing the fruit of the Spirit, is the result of His presence within us. (See Galatians 5:22 AMP) In John 15:4 (NLT), Jesus said: “Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.” May our roots grow downward in Him, so that we may bear fruit upward, for the Kingdom of God.  Let us do all things in love (with an unselfish concern for others), have fullness of joy that overflows onto others and is not affected by hardships and setbacks, have perfect inner peace, that is not moved by external circumstances, exhibit patience (not just the ability to w

Never Abandoned

Image
We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. — 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (NLT) Just as the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people, both now and forever. (Psalm 125:2 NLT) He surrounds us with songs of victory. (See Psalm 32:7) Even if your father and mother abandon you, the LORD will hold you close. (See Psalm 27:10 NLT) Yahweh will never leave you, nor forsake you. Have patient perseverance and He will deliver you out of all trouble. The LORD will work out his plans for my life— for your faithful love, O LORD, endures forever. Don’t abandon me, for you made me. — Psalm 138:8 (NLT)

A Gift from God

Image
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. — 2 Corinthians 5:17-18 (NLT) What God has given us in Christ is the most perfect gift of all. For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. (2 Corinthians 5:19 NLT)  Thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ. (See 2 Corinthians 2:14)  As Christ’s representatives, may the way we live our lives (walking in love, full of joy and peace), draw others to Jesus. Our actions speak louder than the words we speak. Let us be model citizens in the Kingdom of God, that leave others wanting what we are so abundantly blessed to receive. So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for

Turn Back & Live

Image
“Put all your rebellion behind you, and find yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O people of Israel? I don’t want you to die, says the Sovereign LORD. Turn back and live!” — Ezekiel 18:31-32 (NLT) The Lord GOD has no pleasure in the death of anyone who dies. In Ezekiel 18:23 (NLT), He says: “Do you think that I like to see wicked people die? says the Sovereign LORD. Of course not! I want them to turn from their wicked ways and live.” Sooner or later, the Most High God will be obeyed. (See Ezekiel 20:39 NLT) So set your heart and mind on following the Lord GOD and doing His will. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9 NASB1995) For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in lovingkindness to all who call upon You. — Psalm 86:5 (NASB1995)
