He Promises Peace

I will listen to what God the LORD will say;
he promises peace to his people, his saints—
but let them not return to folly.
Psalm 85:8 (NIV)

The LORD promises peace to His people, but it comes when we listen to God. If we don't listen when He says, He loves us and is working all things together for the good of those who love Him, peace will escape us. If we are not listening when He says, He is Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, we get caught up in fear and anxiety and have no peace. Let us not return to our foolish ways, which to me is living a life of unbelief where we rely on ourselves and not God. Instead, listen to the LORD and experience the deep and abiding peace that only He can give.
