In the Shadow of His Wings

How precious is your unfailing love, O God!
All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of your wings.
You feed them from the abundance of your own house,
letting them drink from your river of delights.
For you are the fountain of life, the light by which we see.
Psalm 36:7-9 (NLT)

Like an eagle, God hovers over His young, and we are all young in comparison to an eternal God. He spreads his wings to catch us and carries us on His pinions (Deuteronomy 32:11). Take refuge in the shadow of His wings and God will be your protective covering. Under His wings, God lovingly provides an abundance of food, drink and other delights. In His shadow, we can soar on wings like eagles and never grow weary (Isaiah 40:31).
