The Chains Fell Off

The night before Herod was to bring him to trial, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and sentries stood guard at the entrance. Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him up. "Quick, get up!" he said, and the chains fell off Peter's wrists.
Acts 12:6-7 (NIV)

Acts 12:5 says the church was earnestly praying to God for Peter. As a result of this constant prayer, God sent an angel to rescue Peter and the chains fell of Peter's wrists. What do you need to be freed from today? Ask the body of believers around you to pray to God on your behalf. Who can you intercede for in prayer? The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective (James 5:16).

Love,
Jackie
