Inquire of the LORD

The men of Israel sampled their provisions but did not inquire of the LORD. Then Joshua made a treaty of peace with them to let them live, and the leaders of the assembly ratified it by oath.
Joshua 9:14-15 (NIV)

The Israelites were tricked into making a treaty of peace with the Gibeonites because they failed to consult the LORD. These people lived on the land God promised to give the Israelites and they were supposed to wipe them out to ensure they didn't learn any of their ways which the LORD detested. May we learn from the mistake of the Israelites, to always inquire of the LORD and seek His wisdom so He can guide us in the right direction and make us successful.
