Able to Save

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to save us from your hand, O king.
Daniel 3:16-17 (NIV)

The LORD, our mighty God is able to save us from anything the enemy brings our way. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were thrown into a blazing furnace that had been heated seven times hotter than usual because they refused to worship the god of Nebuchadnezzar. These three men trusted God and they came out of the fire unharmed. Neither their clothes nor their hair was burned. They didn’t even smell like smoke (Daniel 3:27). If you are in the heat of battle, do not fear, our God is able to save you.

Be Captivated by Christ

Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego replied to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to give you an answer concerning this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the furnace of blazing fire; and He will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But even if He does not, let it be known to you, O king, that we are not going to serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.” — Daniel 3:16-18 (NASB1995) Our attitude and mindset should be similar to Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego before they were thrown into the fiery furnace.
