Shattered Dreams

“My days are passing by.
My plans are broken.
My dreams are shattered.”
Job 17:11 (GW)

Even though Job was in a state of total desperation, he persevered through the pain and emotional devastation and God brought it all together for him at the end. The LORD restored Job’s losses and gave Job twice as much as he had before. The LORD blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning. After his ordeal, Job lived one hundred and forty years, and saw his children and grandchildren for four generations (Job 42:10, 12, 16). When it seems like your plans are broken and your dreams are shattered, endure the hardships and be confident that God will work it all out. May He give you double for your trouble and make the rest of your life, the absolute best of your life!
