A Sun & Shield

For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. —Psalm 84:11 (NKJV)

“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you,” (Isaiah 60:1). God is our everlasting light. He is the sun that comes shining through, on your darkest day. The LORD is a shield around us, that protects us from the flaming arrows of the evil one. Our heavenly Father is full of grace and glory and He generously gives good things to those who consistently do what is right.
