He Drew Me Out

He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me. They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the LORD was my support. —Psalm 18:16-18 (NIV)

When it seems like you are drowning, know that you are not out of God’s reach. He will take hold of you and draw you out of the floodwaters. The LORD is our support. If God is for us, who can ever be against us? (Romans 8:31) He who dwells in us is greater than he who is in the world. Overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us (Romans 8:37b). Amen!
