Be Present

“Forget about what’s happened; don’t keep going over old history. Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new. It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it? There it is! I’m making a road through the desert, rivers in the badlands.”Isaiah 43:19 (MSG)

Let us be alert and present to what God is doing today. Jesus warns in Luke 17:32, Remember Lot’s wife! She looked back, and became a pillar of salt (Genesis 19:26). God gives us brand new mercies every morning because He is doing a brand new thing. If we expect God to do things the way He has done them in the past, we are trying to box Him in. Dear brothers and sisters, let’s focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead. May we press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. (Philippians 3:13-14 NLT).
