Called into His Light

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; —1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV)

You were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light. (Ephesians 5:8 NASB) We have been called into His marvelous light. Now we are light. As children of God, let us live above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom we appear as lights in the world of darkness. (Philippians 2:15) How do we shine? We shine as we share the love, kindness, and grace of Jesus Christ. We shine has we exude the peace and joy, that He has given to us. As we proclaim His praises, we shine.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:16)
