The One Light

“A light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of Your people Israel.” —Luke 2:32 (NKJV)

Simeon said Jesus is a light to bring revelation. He is the one light we have in these dark times. May we, as God’s special people, a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, and a holy nation (1 Peter 2:9), let His light brightly shine through us, that those in the darkness may see the Light and come.

We couldn’t be more sure of what we saw and heard—God’s glory, God’s voice. The prophetic Word was confirmed to us. You’ll do well to keep focusing on it. It’s the one light you have in a dark time as you wait for daybreak and the rising of the Morning Star in your hearts. (2 Peter 1:19 MSG)
