Joy is Your Strength

"This is a sacred day before our Lord. Don't be dejected and sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength!"
Nehemiah 8:10 (NLT)

This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy (Psalm 126:5). Be joyful in hope (Romans 12:12). Believers are instructed throughout God's Word to be joyful. When our joy is not based on temporary, outer circumstances, but on the eternal hope we have in Jesus we can hold onto our joy and find strength in all situations.
