Adversity Leads to Advancement

Now I want you to know brothers, that what has happened to me has really served to advance the gospel.
Philippians 1:12 (NIV)

The Apostle Paul rejoiced as he sat in prison in chains. He realized the hardship he suffered encouraged other believers to speak the word of God more courageously (Philippians 1:14). Paul rejoiced because he did not focus on his temporary circumstances and difficulties, but on the eternal impact of spreading the Good News. May God help us to keep our eyes on Him and His kingdom in all of life's challenges. Amen.
