Kindness & Favor

Joseph’s master took him and put him in prison, the place where the king’s prisoners were confined. But while Joseph was there in the prison, the LORD was with him; he showed him kindness and granted him favor in the eyes of the prison warden.
Genesis 39: 20-21 (NIV)

Many of us would not see the blessing in being wrongfully accused of a crime and getting thrown in prison. That is exactly what happened to Joseph and God continued to show Him kindness and favor. Sometimes we don't understand why God allows certain situations in our lives, but at those times, we must remember Almighty God is with us and He will cause all things to work together for good to those who love God, and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). Even in those difficult places, the LORD's lovingkindness, favor and protection are upon us. Amen.
