Peace, His Parting Gift

I'm leaving you well and whole. That's my parting gift to you. Peace. I don't leave you the way you're used to being left—feeling abandoned, bereft. So don't be upset. Don't be distraught.

Jesus, the Prince of Peace, left us with the lasting gift of His peace. If you are worried, upset and distressed, you have allowed the enemy to steal your peace. Let the peace of Christ rule in your minds and hearts. A heart at peace gives life to the body (Proverbs 14:30). In the midst of any storm, we can experience God's peace, which transcends all understanding (Philippians 4:7). He gives His peace at all times and in every way. Amen.
