Called by Name

The one who enters through the gate is the shepherd. The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep respond to his voice. He calls his sheep by name and leads them out of the pen.  —John 10:2-3 (GW)

Jesus calls you by name. He is intimately acquainted with you. He knows the number of hairs on your head. You have not been forgotten. Jesus is the good Shepherd. He knows His sheep and His sheep know Him (John 10:14). Jesus knows everything about us, the best and the absolute worst. Yet, He still loves us. What an amazing love we have in Jesus!
