Our Portion...Our Only Hope!

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the Rock and firm Strength of my heart and my Portion forever. —Psalm 73:26 (AMP)

The Lord is my chosen and assigned portion, my cup; You hold and maintain my lot (Psalm 16:5, AMP). God does not force Himself on anyone. We have to choose Him, first and foremost. And once we do, no one can take Him away from us. In comparison to our relationship with God, let us consider everything else as rubbish. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!” (Lamentations 3:24). Psalm 142:5, in the Message Bible says: ‘You’re my last chance, my only hope for life!’ May that be the cry of our hearts!
