He Delights in You!

“For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” —Zephaniah 3:17 (NLT) 

The LORD our God takes great delight in us. Second Samuel 2:1 says, “My heart rejoices in the LORD;” This relationship is meant to be a two-way exchange. He gives of Himself and we give ourselves to Him. Even when we get distracted and pay little attention to Him, He still watches over us, and woos us back into fellowship with Him. Regardless, He continually lavishes His love on us. Let us take great joy in knowing Him and being known by Him, in this intimate, everlasting covenant of love.
