He has Prevailed!

But one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.” —Revelation 5:5 (NKJV)

Jesus has triumphed! (NIV) He has won the victory! (NLT) He has overcome and conquered! (AMP) Notice what these versions have in common? They are all past tense. When Jesus said, “It is finished!” (John 19:30), He meant it. It's a done deal! We can dry our tears and take joy and peace because He has overcome the world. He prevailed over everything in the earth, sin, death sickness and disease. He who lives in us is greater than he who is in the world. (1 John 4:4). God always leads us in triumph in Christ (2 Corinthians 2:14). Amen!

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)
