Return Home

“So he returned home to his father. And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him. Luke 15:20 (NLT)

A certain man had two sons. And the younger son demanded his share of the estate. A few days later he packed all his belongings and journeyed to a distant land, where he wasted all his money in wild living. About the time his money ran out, there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in want. (Luke 15:11-14) 16 The young man became so hungry that even the pods he was feeding the pigs looked good to him. But no one gave him anything. (Luke 15:16)

“When he came to his senses, he decided to go back to his father. (Luke 15:17-18) When his father saw his son, he was moved with love and compassion and ran to embrace him. The love this father had for his son, demonstrates God’s unconditional love for us. He never gives up on us. If you have strayed away, the arms of the Father are waiting to embrace you and welcome you back home. May we be like our heavenly Father, and not give up on people. Keep believing they will be the men and women God created them to be. Let us share the unconditional love with others that God gives to us. The power of His love brings transformation.
