Favor for a Lifetime

Sing to the LORD, you saints of his; praise his holy name.
For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; 
weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.
Psalm 30:4-5 (NIV)

We have the unmerited favor of God. There is nothing we do to earn it. God bestows favor upon His children, out of the abundance of His love and compassion. He opens doors no one can close, an closes doors that cannot be opened. We are blessed with the privilege of having the very Presence of God Himself, dwelling in our hearts. That is favor. Let us rejoice in the LORD our God.
