Take Root and Bear Fruit

Once more a remnant of the house of Judah will take root below and bear fruit above.
Isaiah 37:31 (NIV)

The people of God are instructed to take root and bear fruit. According to Ephesians 3:17, we are to be rooted and established in love. Our roots are hidden in our hearts. In addition, we are to bear fruit above. Our fruit grows out of the ground of our hearts and can be seen and enjoyed by others. In John 15:2, Jesus says every branch that bears no fruit will be cut off.

Let us, dig our roots deep in the love of Jesus Christ and bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit in our lives, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).

Love,
Jackie
