God’s Kindness
Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance? —Romans 2:4 (NIV)
Don’t you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? (Romans 2:4a, NLT) Thank God for His patience and tolerance, but let us never take the kindness of God for granted. His kindness should lead us to repentance. It should cause us to turn around from going our own way and follow God and His ways. In order for situations in our lives to change, we must change. We have to become more and more like our heavenly Father. It is the acceptance, forgiveness and love of God that will draw others and cause them to work with us and not against us.
