The 1st & The Best

Honor God with everything you own; give him the first and the best. Your barns will burst, your wine vats will brim over. —Proverbs 3:9-10 (MSG)

Not only are we to honor the LORD with our wealth and with the first of all we produce, we should also give God the first and the best of ourselves. We don’t want to dishonor God by giving Him the leftovers when it comes to our finances, our time, our attention, or our affections. So, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him (Romans 12:1, NLT).
