A Chosen People

But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. —1 Peter 2:9 (NLT)

God chose us in Him before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4). Whatever God delivered you from, it was not just for you. He chose you with a purpose and a destiny, that will effect the lives many. And if He woke you up this morning, He still has something for you to do. We are to show others the goodness of God. We can lead others out of the darkness of this world and into His marvelous light. Let us actively pursue the passions God has placed in our hearts, then we will live abundant, joyful lives and bear much fruit for His kingdom.
