His Prized Possession

So don’t be misled, my dear brothers and sisters. Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. He chose to give birth to us by giving us his true word. And we, out of all creation, became his prized possession. —James 1:16-18 (NLT)

The Message Bible says, He brought us to life using the true Word, showing us off as the crown of all his creatures (James 1:18). The LORD has been mindful of you. He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world… (Ephesians 1:4). Every good thing and every perfect gift comes to us from our heavenly Father. He showers us with new mercies and compassions every morning. He blesses us with His peace, love and joy and most of all His Presence. Know that you are valued and treasured in our Father's eyes. Let His unfailing love draw you closer to Him.
