Worship at All Times

Then Job arose, tore his robe, and shaved his head; and he fell to the ground and worshiped. Job 1:20 (NKJV)

After being told that all his livestock were gone, his servants killed, and his ten children were dead Job fell to the ground and worshiped God. Job 1:22 says, in all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong. After being struck with painful boils from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head (Job 2:7), Job’s wife told him to curse God and die. But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips. (Job 2:10)

When faced with trials and adversity may we continue to draw near to God and worship Him. Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. (Psalm 95:6) Never let the schemes of the enemy draw you away from our heavenly Father. He is our strength and refuge in time of trouble. May we worship Almighty God because of Who He is, not based on the circumstances of our lives.
