Child of God

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. —John 1:12-13 (NKJV)

The Spirit Himself testifies and confirms together with our spirit [assuring us] that we [believers] are children of God. (Romans 8:16 AMP) And because we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, “Abba, Father.” (Galatians 4:6 NLT)

What an honor and a privilege to be called a child of God. Even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us to be in Christ. We were called into a relationship, not a religion. We have a good, good Father, Who loves us unconditionally. He protects us, He provides for us and He guides us. His desire is for us to continually draw closer to Him, and grow in our knowledge of Him. As we fellowship with our Heavenly Father, His Holy Spirit works in us to become more like Him. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. (Romans 8:14 NLT)

May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord. —2 Peter 1:2 (NLT)
