Exhausted? Pray!

When he rose from prayer and went back to the disciples, he found them sleep, exhausted from sorrow. "Why are you sleeping?" he asked them. "Get up and pray so that you will not fall into temptation."
Luke 22:45-46 (NIV)

Prayer is so vitally important, even when the disciples were exhausted, Jesus instructed the disciples to get up and pray. In Ephesians 6:10-18, the Apostle Paul instructs believers to put on the full armor of God. After we are fully clothed with the armor, the very next thing he tells us to do is pray on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.

The devil doesn't sleep. He is always prowling around seeking someone to devour. Be alert to his schemes and keep on praying. We win the battles of this life on our knees in prayer.

Be Captivated by Christ
