Will You Lay Your Life Down for Jesus?

Then Jesus answered, "Will you really lay down your life for me? I tell you the truth, before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times!"
John 13:38 (NIV)

Simon Peter pledged to lay his life down for Jesus, but when the time of testing came, he denied he knew Jesus. Words speak volumes but our actions say even more. Here is something to really think about. Do you disown the Lord, by your actions? By choosing things of this world above things of God's kingdom? Do you prefer to receive your praise from man instead of from God? Do you seek to gratify self or obey God?

Jesus forgave Peter and He will forgive us when we repent. Lay your life down, pick up your cross daily and follow Jesus (Luke 9:23).
