Withhold Nothing

The angel of the LORD called to Abraham from heaven a second time and said, "I swear by myself, declares the LORD, that because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son, I will surely bless you..."
Genesis 22:15-17 (NIV)

Abraham bound his only son Isaac, laid him on the altar and was ready to sacrifice him to God, following the instructions he had received from the LORD. May we hold all that God has given us in our hands with an open palm before God. Let us not hold on too tightly to anyone or anything the LORD has blessed us with. He must be first in our hearts.
